at least read this stuff
The All Rounder, a short summary.
The All Rounder started as a tournament meant to test the overall abilities of 5 digit players.
Throughout it's duration, this has turned into a tournament where some of the best tournament players in this rank range can compete against each other 1v1. Map pools will be difficult, meant to test the skills of many players early rounds, and push even the best players to their limits late on. Whether it's a map pool being too hard for you, or another player exposing your weaknesses, this tournament will test your ability as an all around tournament player.

The All Rounder 2 will try to get approval for a profile badge, players will go through screening by osu! staff, and a profile badge may be rewarded to the winner.
This tournament will not use any kind of badge weighting system (BWS), as we want the best players available to join and compete.
Map pools will be difficult, far more difficult than a standard osu! tournament, that's the gimmick here, be prepared!
The tournament is estimated to take place between June 30th - September 22nd, the length of the tournament is subject to change
Stages will be Qualifier, Group Stage (16 groups of 5 players) BO7, RO32/16 BO9, QF/SF BO11, Finals/GF BO13
Players get 1 ban each in Group Stage - Grand Finals
1v1, international, qualifier to group stage to double elimination bracket, score v2, failed scores count, EZ is 1.6x
Roll winner decides if they want to pick first or second.
Roll loser decides if they want to ban first or second.
Players must be in the tournament discord to participate in the tournament.
Warmups will begin to be available starting from RO32
Warmups will be a maximum of 4 minutes (or like 4:02, that's fine too)

Registration closes June 30th at 23:59 UTC
2 week buffer for player screening, depending on how quickly they get back to us, the schedule may be moved to start earlier
Week 1 - July 19th-21st
Week 2 - July 26th - 28th
Week 3 - August 2nd - 4th
Week 4 - August 9th - 11th
Week 5 - August 16th - 18th
Week 6 - August 23rd - 25th
Week 7 - August 30th - September 1st
Week 8 - September 7th - 8th
Week 9 - September 14th - 15th
Week 10(possibly) - September 21st - 22nd

Qualifier

If you don't make the rank cutoff of 240 players, you will be placed on a "waiting list" with a chance to still enter the tournament based on how many players are over ranked, or players dropping out before the qualifier weekend.
The qualifier will last one weekend.
There will be qualifier lobbies open throughout the qualification weekend, players can sign up for whichever lobby fits their time availability.
If you cannot attend any of the available lobbies, you may make a request for an "extra" lobby. This is only allowed in extreme cases when there is no possible way for you to attend any of the qualifier lobbies, the hosts hold the right to deny your request.
Each lobby can hold up to 15 players.
Each lobby will have 1 assigned referee, who will be in charge of everything running smoothly.
The map pool format for qualifiers will be 3 No Mod, 2 HD, 2 HR, and 2 DT.
The lobby will play through the entire map pool once.
Your score on every map in the pool will be added up, and compared to the total scores of all other players competing in qualifiers.
80 players will make it out of qualifiers and will be separated into 5 different seeds based on qualifier positions.
The seeds from qualifiers will then be used to draw players into groups for the group stage

*The following images are examples of qualifier layout, not actual mappool/results

Group Stage

80 players will advance from qualifiers
There will be 16 groups of 5 players each
Each group will consist of 1 player from each seed randomly drawn into the group
Every player will play against the other players in their group once, for a total of 4 matches in a group
Group standings will be decided on Challonge following this criteria in order
  1. Match wins
  2. Head to head
  3. Map win/loss difference
  4. Map wins
The top 2 players from each group will advance into RO32, which will begin the bracket stage

*this image is an example of a finished group

Bracket Stage

The top 2 players from each group will advance into a bracket stage starting at RO32
1st place seeds from groups will be matched up against 2nd place seeds from other groups
Double Elimination Bracket means a winners bracket and a losers bracket. All players will start in the winners bracket.
Players who lose in winners bracket are not eliminated from the tournament, they will be sent down into losers bracket

Players are expected to adhere to the osu! Community Rules and In-Game Chat Rules at all times. There will be no exceptions, disqualification will occur should these rules be broken.
All registered players will be screened by the osu! staff team to check for any past infractions of the community guidelines. Players may be denied entry to the tournament based on the results.
Match format is Head to head, Score V2
Failed scores count
, if a player ends a beatmap with a failed score, their score at the end of the beatmap will be counted as their submitted score
This also applies in qualifiers, failed scores in qualifier lobbies will count
Free mod picks are forced mod, players must have at least one mod enabled for a free mod pick
The choices of mods are HR, HD, FL, and EZ
EZ Scores will be multiplied by 1.6x, this makes the multiplier for the EZ mod a total of 0.8x a no mod score.
Mods will be allowed on the tiebreaker, but not required.
Roll rules - for when players !roll at the start of a match:
  1. The winner of the roll will decide whether they want to pick first or second.
  2. The loser of the roll will decide whether they want to ban first or second.

Qualifier Lobby Procedure
  1. There can be a maximum of 15 players in a lobby, with one slot open for the referee
  2. The referee will begin to invite players to the lobby 5-10 minutes before the scheduled lobby time, players are expected to be online to receive the invite
  3. Players will have a 5 minute grace period to join the lobby before the lobby starts without them.
  4. Qualifier lobbies will not have a warm up
  5. Once the lobby is ready, the referee will begin with NM1, then cycle through the map pool in order until all the maps have been played once.

  2. If a player is late for their match, each map they miss will be counted as a submitted score of 0. Players will be allowed to replay missed maps at the discretion of the referee. It is the referee's time you are using, so it's up to them to decide if they want to give you a chance.
  3. If a player disconnects at any point of the map they will be allowed to replay the map after the lobby has finished cycling through the map pool. This will only be allowed once, any further disconnections from the same player must be within the first 30 seconds of the map in order for a replay to happen.

  14. The Grand Finals and the bracket reset may be scheduled for different days or the next week if the players do not have available time. This must be handled before the match, and no reschedule will be accepted after the first Grand Finals match has been played unless both players agree

Miscellaneous Rules
  1. If a player shows up after the match has been DQed and considered a noshow, they will be allowed to reschedule the match. This can be done only with the approval of the opponent, the referee of the DQed match, a host, and a referee to ref the rescheduled time.
  2. If a player disconnects within the first 1/4th of the map, they may reconnect within 10 minutes and replay the map. This will only be allowed once per lobby per player. Any disconnections after the first will be a map loss.
  3. If a player disconnects after 1/4 of the map has been played, they will lose the map
  4. If a player disconnects at any point near map completion, their score at the time of disconnecting will be counted if there is reliable evidence that they had that score.
Evidence counts as - a registered local score showing the time of the score, a stream/video/screenshot of the score before disconnecting, a referee in lobby who had access to the live score during the match, scores being submitted in IRC, etc, ask the referee if you are not sure if something is counted as evidence or not.
  5. If a player fails to reconnect within 10 minutes of disconnecting, they will be considered a forfeit. If the referee and the other player in the match agree for a delay, they may give the disconnected player more time to join the match.
  6. If the referee feels that the players in the lobby are prolonging the match or "stalling", they have the choice of enforcing a 2 minute timer for bans, picks, and readying up.
  7. If a player doesn't ban or pick on time once a timer is enforced, their ban or pick will be given to the opponent. This does not effect the order of bans/picks.
  8. If a player fails to ready up on time once a timer is enforced, the match will be forced to start by a !mp start 15 command.
(if they have to use the toilet, just let them go and give them an additional minute or two)
Throughout the tournament, referees will be trusted to make reasonable decisions on a case by case basis as each situation presents itself. If something is not stated in the rules, the referee will be allowed to make judgement based on common sense and valid reasoning using logic and/or evidence.
