Continuing on with last season, a place to post first impressions of this new season. (As a note, this is for the northern hemisphere's summer. Please don't get it confused with the winter thread from before)

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita:
SPOILER
I really didn't know what to expect when I first started this series. We have a post-apocalyptic world (well in some ways maybe not, but society has been in decline) with a bunch of hunter-gatherers who are farming chickens and researching fairies... Add on top an art style I didn't care for, I was not looking forward to the series, and then I get a load of jokes about cooking chickens, chicken rights, manipulating information, and bloody toast... (here are some pics http://puu.sh/FbzS http://puu.sh/FbFR http://puu.sh/FbH7 http://puu.sh/Fcf2 http://puu.sh/FclY http://puu.sh/Fcmo http://puu.sh/Fct1) After those jokes the show won me over instantly, so I am definitely watching episode 2
Tari Tari:
SPOILER
More PA Works, which means more high quality walls!!! If you watched Iroha, you pretty much know what to expect of the art: nicely done backgrounds with great amount of detail even showing things like the residue after erasing chalk from a blackboard (It seems a little lower budget than Iroha but that is to be expected). As for the rest of the show, it is a slice of life show where some people are too serious about music. Oh well, the characters were okay, so I'll stick around for a while.
Chitose Get You!:
SPOILER
Yay slideshows, we love slideshows right??? Well, here is a fairly low budget 3 minute slideshow show that basically has to sell on its humor. Maybe it is because I am watching it late at night, but I didn't think the jokes were funny at all, dropped.
Arcana Famiglia:
SPOILER
Yuru Yuri S2: Action Shoujos... not exactly the genre I wanted to watch, oh well. Unlike many shonene shows, they did not cheap out in action scenes, but the action scenes felt so slow paced that I couldn't call them enthralling. Add on top lack luster backgrounds and cliche storyline, and you don't really get much..... I'll stick around for an ep or 2, but I doubt I can recommend this.
SPOILER
As many others have said, it is more of the same as last season. If you liked it before, you'll probably still love it. If you hated it before, nothing really has changed. As for the episode itself, they had an interesting introduction that does intorduce characters a bit, but it will be hilarious for those that know the series. As for the rest of the ep, more of the same jokes that you have come to love/hate.
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate:
SPOILER
AIC Build has come again, and this time with yet another school club that doesn't do anything that useful. Wait. This time there is a dark background showing someone getting run over by a car in the first, episode. Will this develop into anything..... who cares? Most VN adaptations don't really do dark plots very well, but on the other hand, we have what we expect of AIC Build, decent backgrounds (showed some texture but still pales in comparison to PA Works), a bunch of comedy, CG sections, a episode preview that is framed.... This is going nowhere. All I can really say is that it has potential, there is nothing too wrong with the first episode besides a censored section. Even if the dark section is a letdown, AIC Build has delivered on comedy and animation, and from its track record, will continue to do so.
Campione!:
SPOILER
I am not exactly happy with where they started the show. I still think starting with the actual first arc is a better choice, but what is done is done. They start the series off in the 3rd arc (the past arc), and show how Godou ascends to power. Overall, the episode is decent animation wise, but some of the action does look a little cheap (the jump when she put on Hermes's shoes and her shield removal). Plot wise, the pacing felt a little rushed with very little explanation as to why Erica knows Japanese or various other small details, but it did flow and show what needs to be shown. The only thing I have against this show is the narrator and his seiyuu. When he does the ending lines of the episode (the beginning line of the novel) he says it in a plain epic voice that don't portray the dual-sided nature of the blessing and curse of being a campione. Whatever, I doubt the narrator will hurt my experience too much. I just need the storytelling to be decent and the show will be alright.
Kono Naka ni Hitori Imouto ga Iru:
SPOILER
Even though I would love to enjoy a show with a StylipS op,this show is so low budget and is not that amusing. The plot is pretty much typical harem stuff with the slight twist of incest, so I don't think that will go very far either. I don't really have anything positive to say about it.
Dakara boku-ha H ga Dekinai:
SPOILER
Fanservice galore. There are loads and loads of fanservice in this shows. Expect all the humor to be perverted in some way or another. Looking beyond the fanservice, the animation is subpar for a good chunk of the ep with cut interactions, panning, and more things along those lines. To make matters worse, some of the scenes have considerable blur, making it hard to make out what is happening. However, there were also a few nicely animated battle scenes as well, making the show almost bearable. Basically, your enjoyment of the show depends on how much you appreciate the perverted humor.
Sword Art Online:
SPOILER
This show reeks of cash xD. The animation is astounding and music was solid. This is pretty much all you can hope for in an adaptation (okay fine, they could have had PA works level backgrounds, but let us overlook that). In addition, the adaptation is fairly accurate so far with all the training scenes included xD. The only thing I am not happy about is them covering the sidearcs since their storylines are terrible and deserve to rot imo. I rather have them rush to the main story, and finish up that way. Oh well, that is not something that should interfere too much with your experience watching.
Hagure Yuusha no Estetica:
SPOILER
From the makers of Queen Blade, you would expect a lot of pointless fanservice right? Well, you might be disappointed since this show actually doesn't have that much fanservice.... (there are still a bunch of blatant breast and pantie shots). In addition the show cheaps out on quite a few actions scenes, but at least did 1-2 short scenes right.... As for the plot, it could be interesting......, but knowing these people I am pretty sure the plot won't be that great. In short, I can't recommend this series to anyone, but the show has kept my interest enough to watch episode 2.
Dog Days':
SPOILER
It is time to see the return of our favorite hero voiced by Miyano, Mamoru (Ginga Bishonen, if anyone remembers). Oh well Dog Days is back in all of its glory. The same great animation, furry cast, and bizarre wars. Like the case with most sequals, your viewpoint of the first will probably continue on to the second. For those new to the series, the first episode is a terrible way to rate the show due to the episode being almost pure character introductions, but it does at least the charm of (or reason to hate) the series
Binbougami ga!:
SPOILER
Yet another show doing things hayate style, spam as many references as possible and create humor that way. Well it seems to work with jokes like the unfortunate Vegeta. Besides that, animation is sort of lackluster, and your enjoyment will fully depend on its humor, so try an episode and see how you like it.
