Problem Details: Since around 5 months ago I experience lag spikes. A few times per play the input lag rises and the fps drops for a second. It makes for a very frustrating game experience. I run osu on a 4.0 GHZ i7 and with a GTX 970. Windows 10 and a 144hz screen. I play in Fullscreen mode. I can see no particularly stand-out spikes or drops in the GPU or CPU performance. I can run games like Forza Horizon 4 or Battlefield on the same setup without any issues. The lags are more frequent if there is something running in the bg, and if the game runs for longer, but they appear from the get go anyway, even if nothing is running in the bg and I just started the PC.
"Fixes" I tried:
- Disabling Superfetch
- Changing process priority
- reinstalling the game
- changing just about any option available in osu itself
- running the game in compability mode for older versions
- reinstalling Nvidia drivers, without Geforce Experience
