This is an osu!standard tournament.
This is a free for all tournament, meaning you're alone, but you're not playing against just one person at a time.
This tournament takes up to 64 players per tier. As long as the tier reaches at least 32 players, it's going to happen.
Anyone with their rank between #5.000 and #40.000 can sign up. A 500 rank buffer on both sides is applied, as well as a Badge Weighted Seeding (BWS). So the effective rank range is #4.500 - #40.500 BWS rank. The exact BWS formula is shown further down.
The three tiers are:
High Tier - #4.500-#12.999
Mid Tier - #13.000-#24.999
Low Tier - #25.000-#40.500

You need to be in one of these ranges when you sign up and when the registrations end, otherwise you will not be able to participate.
We, the staff, keep the right to prevent any and all suspicious players from entering and playing in our tournament. If you've recently (in the last year) been unrestricted, unbanned etc., you can not play in this tournament.
Joining the discord server and changing your nickname to your osu username is required for each player.

Rules

This is a free for all tournament, Head to head, Score V2, point system tournament.
An osu!standard tournament that is open to all countries globally.
The maximum number of players we will accept is 64 for each bracket.
Player entry is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Players will be seeded randomly. We understand that this might create some rough initial groups, but I'm afraid you'll just have to deal with it. After first round ends, we'll randomize the players again, but this time using their first round placements as seeds.
There will be a new mappool for every round. Maps star rating will largely depend on your progress in the tournament. Roughly starting at 5,3 stars to 6,2 stars max for the higher tier pool, around 4,9 stars to 5,8 stars max in the mid tier pool and around 4,5 stars to 5,4 stars max in the low tier pool. Each mappool will consist of 4 No Mod, 2 Hidden, 2 Hard Rock, 2 Double Time and 3 Free Mod maps. During Free Mod maps, each player must pick at least one mod, but not limited to one. Allowed mods are Easy, Flashlight, Hard Rock and Hidden. All Easy scores will be doubled. We will specify which mappool to use when in the general spreadsheet.
Schedules will be done for each group of players separately, but everyone will play on the same weekend. Please try to be as flexible as possible; we need to put 8 players, from possibly completely different time zones, into 1 time.
We’ll try to stream everything. No promises though. Twitch link is provided at the important links above.
ALL announcements will be made on the Discord server, so we highly advise for you to check frequently for updates happening. EVERYTHING will be posted in the Discord, tournament-wise, and nowhere else. Find the link for the server in the important links section above.
We have the option to refuse players who have suspicious account details. Some suspicious accounts may include(s): newly created account with awkwardly high pp growth, weirdly spaced pp plays, and/or accounts with restricted/banned status. We will check player profiles constantly.
Badge Weighted Seeding is a tournament-minded seeding method intended to more accurately seed players and enforce rank restrictions based on the player's tournament badges. This is the formula we'll be using:

rank^(0.98^(badges*(badges+1)/2))

Basically what this does is, it ranks up players according to how many badges they have. BWS calculations will be done by us, so at sign up please enter your normal rank. Also, the one we're using is a bit harsh and that's for one simple reason; we're here to have fun and hopefully not give extra supporter to derankers.

All other questions will always refer to here as a guide, or ask one of the admins in the Discord server, if you believe the question hasn't been answered or is unclear.

Tournament structure

This tournament is a 1v1 free for all Tournament. How does that work, you ask? Here, let me explain.
Who will play who will be decided by the way of a live drawing on our Twitch channel every week. There will be 8 groups with 4-8 people in each bracket, selected randomly.
All matches will include a referee and they will lead the match. In the match itself, all players should be present at the same time.
All players will roll and the lowest roll can pick a warmup. The warmup can't be longer than 4 minutes.
There will be no banning. After warmups, highest roll picks a person to start the host rotation (they can pick anyone, themselves included) and that person picks a map and picking proceeds via host rotation system. Each player picks only 1 map in each lobby.
The map is played out and points are given out corresponding to the placement of players at the end of the map.

1st place = 10 points
2nd place = 8 points
3rd place = 6 points
4th place = 5 points
5th place = 4 points
6th place = 3 points
7th place = 2 points
8th place = 1 point

After points are allocated, host rotates and the next player picks a map. After each player has picked a map and that map has been played, the match is over.
Points from all maps are calculated for each player and the 4 players that have the highest amount of points proceed to the next round.

In the case of a point tie for any of the top 4 places (for example: 4th and 5th place have the same amount of points), a random map from the mappool that hasn't been picked yet is selected and the winner of the map proceeds to the next round.

Match procedures

The tournament matches will ALL include referees. The referees will create the rooms and invite the players they are assigned to. The players must join the room at the appointed time and play out their match. The referee will post the result with the multiplayer link in the results channel in the Discord server.

1. Referee creates and sets up the room appropriately
2. Players join and !roll for points
3. Lowest !roll selects warmup
4. Highest !roll decides who picks the first map
5. Players pick maps via host rotation until everyone has picked 1 map
6. 4 players with the highest amount of points proceed to the next round

Schedules

Registrations: 29th March - 13th April at 22:00 UTC+0
Round 1: 20th April - 21st April

Signing up

To sign up, reply to this post with your username, rank and time zone. Please use UTC.
Concerning all people that are affected by Daylight Savings Time, please use the time zone you will be in after it takes effect this weekend. If you have badges confirmed, but not on your profile count those as well. If we find out you've lied about the amount of badges you've won, you will be disqualified on the spot, no matter if the tournament has started or not. Of course, only osu!standard tournament badges count.
