"Next-Level" Levels?

Hi,

I've played geometry dash before and the hardest levels are bloodbath, cataclysm, bloodlust, and other various hard levels

Could someone tell me what the "Hardest" levels are here?

(ranked or approved because in geometry dash, the super hard ones are all verified and that's the equivalent of being "ranked" in osu)

i only know easy , normal, hard, insane, and extra only but I use the old site.

lots of mapsets are labelled insane < extra < ultra, but the labels get fuzzy near the top because the top difficulty often has a custom name

you learn to look at maps more in terms of BPM/OD/AR and who mapped it

also, galaxy collapse

ehm. i think what op meant was the hardest ranked maps? at least i looked up what he said and i think the difficulties in geometry dash are these https://www.reddit.com/r/geometrydash/comments/3t80pg/geometry_dash_difficulties_and_what_they_mean/ and cataclysm etc. are maps there?

Just use stars as a base indicator of difficulty.

People here already gave the basic names, but there are plenty of maps where you can argue a lower star map is harder than a higher star map. Names don't really do much unless you know the usual styles of the mapper.

there is no map that is the "hardest" what could be hard could be easy to the person next to you, that being said, there are maps that are universally hard, star rating is flawed but it does a decent job of identifying hard maps from easy maps.

Stop thinking in terms of levels. There is difficulty rating called star rating that goes from 0 to wtf.

Star rating faulty tho, so you may get some harder or easier maps despite them having same star rating, but that is better than "levels" which tend to be even more arbitrary depending on the beatmap set.

This is why I love difficulty naming in Taiko.
The "levels" are reasonably consistent in that gamemode and don't depend as much on SR. Or used to at least, the current RC looks like it might have changed a bit.
