I wonder whether glass secret base items are going to be a thing again, and, if so, whether the prices for the larger ornaments will be adjusted.

I remember spending hours with max repels, making the most efficient path through route 114 to nab as much soot as possible. Fun times. With the advent of streetpass being more accessible, I think it would be funny to keep them as hard to obtain as they were.

I actually did enjoy preparing for and doing them back then. I can't say for sure I'll like them now, though...

The fact that I (still) had OCD back them drove me crazy trying to get the "best paths", but I'll admit I kinda had fun doing all of that collecting. Too bad the music on that Route wasn't fitting...

I think I got it down to only needing one extra step on the largest patch of grass, and that's only because it was shaped weirdly.

The last link Blaze posted makes it pretty clear that this is a special Pikachu. As such, it's probably going to be the only one.

yeah i hatched like 8000+eggs back in pokemon platinium to have one :/, oh well shineys arent that special annymore annyway with that chain fishing, ect

I've actually never cared about Chain Fishing; all the Shinies I got on my Y have been from random encounters (Gyrados and Spewpa), Hordes (Bellsprout and Wingull), and a Friend Safari (Kirlia).

Could be that Detective Pikachu game.

Maybe we'll get a few new Mega Evolution releases as welll.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a big Anime or manga project, and I honestly would be pretty OK with it.

Doubt that Pikachu game would be that shocking... Maybe Mega Evolution releases, but that'd have to be a huge surprise. And if it was a new animé/manga project (preferably animé), I hope it's something similar to the Origins special or the B2/W2 video they showed before.
