Welcome!

After an extensive amount of discussion with seasoned and experienced players, I have decided to introduce the ONE and ONLY skill
measurement you will EVER need in osu! Standard:

The Kotoba Dans

As we all know PP system is extremely flawed and by
no means an accurate measurement of skill (especially
on higher levels), and this course serves as an alternative
for skill level measurement. Tournaments are arguably more accurate, but let's be frank here,
not everyone are interested in playing in tournaments or simply cannot (blacklisted, schedule problems, etc)

There are a total of 13 dans, increasing in difficulty. It ranges from the accessible 1st and 2nd dans for plebians, to the absurd Kotobama which most players would dream of just passing it with No Fail mod.

How this dan course work is REALLY simple. You pass the map, you clear the dan.

Rules
1. You are not allowed to use any mods other than Hidden, Flashlight, Hard Rock, DoubleTime or Nightcore.
2. You are also not allowed to pause midway through the map.
3. Dont cheat, there's nothing to really gain from this aside from self-achievement.
4. You can submit your scores in this thread. Feel free to post even recording of failed runs or whatever.

Q: Is Kotobama clearable by anyone at all?
A: @shige

Q: Why not separate the maps instead of making them one giant course?
A: Convenience? Hello?

Q: Why is X/Y map not there?
A: We think that it doesn't fit, either the map is too hard/easy or is simply too low quality.

Q: Can I do xth dan without doing the dans before them?
A: Yes, you do not have to play the dan courses before a particular dan to attain that dan grade.

Q. Is this a duty?
A. No. If you don't want to, ignore this.

Q. How many combo's in each courses?
A. 1st dan has 1364 and Kotobama has about 1364 combo.

Q. What's the sr of each dan?
A. Dan 1 is around 6.8 SR, and Kotobama is around 9.3 SR.

Q. What is prize?
A. You get to flex on people with dans below you.

Q. Where can I get more information of every courses?
A. Yes.

Q. What happens if i can pass Kotobama and still want another challenge?
A. Yes.

Q. Can i ask more specific things of this?
A. Maybe.

I am a bit confused on how a single low hp singletap map is supposed to adequately compare people's skill.

completely ignores consistency, streaming skill, acc, speed, tech,, etc.. not real skill sets anyway I suppose.

ok real talk though im sure its way harder to make actual dans on std than on mania considering how many sub skillsets r out there
(im sure azer tried and gave up on the project some time before)
and thats without taking AR into consideration

u can kinda oversimplify them and make stream - aim - tech (????) - alt/finger control and whatnot, but its still going to be too broad and that'll leave fair share of skill bias (see: 4k dan 5 and JS) while trying to make them true to the categorization leads to far less map choices or even none which leads to even more inaccuracy (7k dan 0 being harder than 1 for a lot of people, same as 9 being easier than 8 unless you're speed player or smth, shadow of cats being random meme filler on tachyon)
(not to mention there's no ACTUAL definition or agreement on what tech means)
as for how this obvious joke/jab over a fair portion of o!m community flew over all of your head thats for another discussion
