[Archived] osu wont let me published

so i actually copy a map (a cimetery one). i deleted all he work and rebuild my own map because i wasn't able to find the song. i finished it to get my first rank but osu don't let me so what do i do now

(i know why osu do that)

I don't fully understand the issue. Are you talking about uploading the map or getting a Global score on it?

Global ranks / scores cannot be achieved on maps that are not Ranked, loved or approved.

If you are having issues uploading the map because it tells you that you are not the owner, check out this thread.

He probably says that he grabbed a ranked/ or an uploaded map and then removed all of the mapped parts and mapped his own version using the osz file he got somewhere. He finished mapping but he cannot upload it.

You should have copied the mp3 from the song folder instead of editing the beatmap. Because you can't change the beatmap creator through the osu editor.
