Hello!


I would like to know of some advice on how to improve in this because I want to catch the beats better.

I would also like to see the skins that the this community made here because why not
I am not gonna judge since I am not a skin expert or something like that.

Anyway I just wanna have fun here.

Welcome! The best advice I can give is play for fun :) Don't worry about pp, just do what feels nice for you! For me, I played only specifics, but lots of people have fun playing converts. Just figure out what you prefer and enjoy the ride

Just keep playing, it takes a while to get use to the mechanics. most players including myself often use skins that have very simply fruits that aren't to distracting, it helps in sight reading for example

Thanks for the advice! I played only converts on CTB, because I am too lazy to download beatmaps but I might play some specifics soon.

I think it's normal to only play converts at the beginning. But trust me - once you go near 3* non-converts are really fun! I've actually stopped playing converts too. A top player privately told me to play converts too to improve but i just hate playing them by now so won't do that.
For skins: yeah, most use those circle ones. Others use squares. Theres exgon's skin which is incredibly hard to read. But there's also hyperw's skin which is quares but actually looks nice.
Personally i'm playing with default skin just less fleshy colors. I'm at uni right now, will insert links later if needed

Thanks! I really appreciate the skins you gave me! They actually helped me a lot because the skins I got were very flashy and distracting.

If you liked those skins, you probably should visit the skinning-completed skins- minimalistic skin forum and go see the lists of good skins that are 'minimalistic'.
