What is the Drum Circle?
In short, it's a group of osu!taiko mappers responsible for creating map packs for osu!'s featured artists! Here's some examples of our work to give you an idea of what we do:Backfire's hot chocolate | Midnaait's Final Moments

Some of you may have already heard of the Mappers' Guild, a group of osu!standard mappers on which the Drum Circle is based on. Their goal is to provide osu! with a library of ranked maps using licensed music and to integrate osu!'s featured artists into the community, and this is what the Drum Circle's goal is as well.
So far the Drum Circle has functioned privately, with the maps and mappers being made and selected behind the scenes. For now, we'll continue to work this way, but in the future there will be ways to apply to this group and be part of the Drum Circle. However, we think it is now a good time to announce this group's existence and purpose publicly, to be as transparent as we can in our current state.
The Drum Circle receives support from the osu! staff, and we will continue to work with the staff as we grow, enabling us to make even bigger osu!taiko projects and supplying you with more osu!taiko maps to featured artist tracks. There will be more to announce soon!
Who's in the Drum Circle?

How can you join the Drum Circle?
For the first map pack, the members were hand-picked. We will continue to work like this for now, but we plan on opening applications once we feel the Drum Circle has reached a comfortable size.That's it for now. regarding other game modes
As mentioned in the introduction, the Drum Circle is based on osu!standard's Mapper's Guild. To my knowledge there is nothing to announce yet for osu!catch and osu!mania.
