Problem details:
So whats happening is that the background image of a beatmap is not the same as the preview, that first starting appearing on no background maps of mines but I feel like its been spreading to one with backround images. Its not big but its kinda annoying.

osu! version: Stable 20181212.2 (latest)

Make sure you have osu! closed. Navigate to your installation folder (by default this is in local/appdata) and move the "osu!.db" file outside of your osu! folder. Once you start the game again and head to the song selection screen you should see all of your maps start to process, that means you removed the correct file.

Just one note, doing this will mark your maps as unplayed (just in case you use the "Recently Played" beatmap grouping) and it will remove any beatmap specific settings you have, like local offset, mania scroll speed, etc.

Its still happening.

Did your maps reprocess after your restarted the game? If they didn't, you didn't remove the correct file. If you don't have file extensions enabled the file you are supposed to remove is just called going to be called "osu!", which is pretty easy to miss.

This is the only known instant solution. Apparently it can fix itself over time, but I don't know how true that is.
