Team Requirements
- This is a 2v2 osu!Standard tournament using ScoreV2. 2 players min, 3 players max. This tournament is open to players from any country.
- In order for your team to be accepted into the tournament, your team must fit the following two requirements: 1. your team's performance index, defined the sum of the squares of the PP values of your team's two highest-ranked players. (For example, if your team's PP values are {2000,3000,4000}, your PP index is 3000^2 + 4000^2 = 25,000,000), must be between 13,000,000 and 60,500,000, inclusive, by the end of registration. (We reserve the right to extend but not shrink this range.) 2. your team cannot contain 2 members who have achieved top 3 in any badged tournament targeted primarily towards 5-digit and low 4-digit players.
- Potential individual players may join the Discord server in hopes of finding a team, but will not be considered official players until a team is formed.
- This tournament will accept the first 64 teams that sign up. If N < 64 teams sign up, the number of teams accepted will be max(2^n, 3*2^m) such that 2^n and 3*2^m are less than or equal to N.
Match Format
- This tournament consists of two stages: the Group Stage and the Bracket Stage. The Group Stage is single-elimination, while the Bracket Stage is double-elimination.
- All Group Stage matches will be BO5 (first to 3). RO32 and RO16 (winner's bracket) will be BO7 (first to 4), Quarterfinals will be BO9, Semifinals will be BO11, and Finals and Grand Finals will be BO13. Loser's bracket RO16 will be BO7, QF will be BO9, SF and Finals will be BO11. The third place match will be BO13.
- All matches will be played Team Vs., Score v2
- At the start of each match, each team will roll. The team with the higher roll bans second and picks first out of the mappool for the corresponding round. The winner of a map wins one point. Teams then alternate picks until one team garners enough points for victory. Banned maps may not be picked.
- For any match using the GS, RO32, or RO16 mappools, there will be one ban per team. Otherwise there will be 2 bans per team.
- When a team garners the necessary number of points to win their match (e.g. 3 points in BO5), and is at least two points ahead of the losing team, the losing team is allowed a chance at redemption by playing one of the 3 "Redemption Maps." In order for redemption to succeed, the losing team must achieve 1.2 million points (score v2), and neither player may fail the map (this is enforced by putting the two team members on different teams with Team Vs).
- If redemption fails, the match concludes with the winning team victorious.
- If redemption succeeds, the winning team's most recent point is voided, and the match continues (regarding picks - if it’s A vs. B, and team A picked the map that triggered redemption, then team B picks after the redemption). However, the losing team may no longer attempt redemption. For instance, if the winning team proceeds to win the next map, the match concludes with the winning team victorious.
- There will be no warmups during the Group Stage. During the Bracket Stage, the team with the lower roll picks the first warmup map, and the higher roll picks the second, not to exceed five (5) minutes in drain length.
- Mappools will be released approximately one week in advance
- GS will be 4NM/2HD/2HR/2DT/3FM, all bracket stages that are not quarterfinals, semifinals and finals 5NM/2HD/2HR/2DT/3FM, Quarterfinals will be 5NM/3HD/3HR/3DT/3FM and Semifinals and Finals will be 6NM/3HD/3HR/3DT/3FM
- There will always be one (1) tiebreaker map, and three (3) redemption maps.
- At least one mod per team must be used during free-mod (FM) maps. Mods may be chosen from EZ, HD, HR, and FL.
- Mods may be used during tiebreaker and redemption maps, though they are not required.
- Disconnections will only be honored once per team, and only if they happen in the first 30 seconds of a map. If a disconnection is honored, the map will be replayed with no penalty.
- A team fail results in a point for the other team.
- If a situation occurs that is not covered by the rules above, the referee will have the final say.
