2006年から、ライブハウスやインターネット上で音楽活動をするアーティスト／ボーカリスト。
ふとした日常やノスタルジックな風景、童話のような情景を描く音づくりを目指している。
2009年、supercellからオファーを受け、「nagi」名義でゲストボーカルを担当。
一度聴いたら忘れられない繊細な声質と、印象的な楽曲の世界観が支持され、
メジャー／インディーズ問わず活躍の場を広げている。
2011年、「麻枝 准×やなぎなぎ」コラボレーションプロジェクトが始動。
2012年2月29日、TVアニメ「あの夏で待ってる」EDテーマ「ビードロ模様」でメジャーソロデビュー、
6月には、TVアニメ「ヨルムンガンド」EDテーマ、「Ambivalentidea」のリリースを予定している。

I used to heard her Melt cover on NicoNico, that's a really special voice without much mixing, you may find that somewhere in youtube but I'm not sure. (not the 3M version) At that time I don't know who she is, and just forget about that quickly.
Till one day, Kimi no Shinaraimonogatari, the Bakemonogatari ED, stunned me and went me mad. I have to admit ryo x nagi is the best in history. (ryuka is good but too few works) The reason ryo decided to cooperate with her is that her Melt cover is just amazing.
She works with supercell and produced ”君の知らない物语”, ”さよならメモリーズ”, ”うたかた花火/星が瞬くこんな夜に” (3 singles) and ”Today Is A Beautiful Day” (1 album).
With the new guest vocal for supercell coming, she went her own business and started using yanaginagi as new name.
For now she's working with Maeda Jun on the 「終わりの惑星のLoveSong」Project, and also performed the ED of Ano Matsu de Matteru.
I more thing I want say is if you feel like her works as nagi, you should try to find her earlier works for binaria, CorLeonis and the new songs for project-ALCA- and so on. You will like them.
