What skills do i need to improve on to play these kinds of maps better? I can play jump maps decently but when it comes to technical maps my fingers just go all over the place.

low AR maps
It's a good skill to have, but not really that useful for learning how to play technical.blackmen2x wrote:
Really? Isn't low AR useless for later?

Start with wub song maps (i.e. Sakuraburst, Function Phantom). They'll give you a better idea of how to react to quick rhythm changes.

Just play more technical maps. You get good at something by doing it.
EDIT: I suggest using https://osusearch.com/ to find maps. It will make you play a wide variety of maps which will help you improve. When you find a map you suck at, add it to a collection and play it later.

Low AR isn't useless. Playing low AR(7/8) improves your reading and rythm sense.blackmen2x wrote:

This is bad advice. You can't just use a filter to sort by tech maps.
I think finger control and reading (especially weird/dense patterns) are the most important skills for technical. Maybe rhythmic stuff too, but especially the first two.blackmen2x wrote:
