Hello All,
First off I wanted to give a Huge thanks to ElectroYan, Animexamera, & Several others in the Osu All-Mode Player Community. This wouldn't have been possible without their help.
So some of you may remember my attempt at this a long time back but it was a manual system and only was for top 50. https://osu.ppy.sh/community/forums/topics/566349 Well we have been working on a new Beta version for a more comprehensive weighted All-mode Leaderboard!
Also this is to go along the lines of the feature request for cumulative leaderboard rankings. <https://osu.ppy.sh/community/forums/topics/804658> Perhaps if Peppy likes this system he might consider something like this to appear in-game someday! (probably not but I can dream =D)
Anyways Quick explanation although it's all explained on the first tab of the googledoc.
TPP:This is ranking of players based on straight addition of Standard + Taiko + CTB + Mania PP
SPP:This is same as 1st but with 2* STDEV being subtracted from the total. This is to weight players that are more balanced in the 4 gamemodes the highest
UPP:Same goal as SPP but using a calculation of having the lowest PP mode contribute the most to the ranking as well as reducing based on Standard Deviation
As an FYI, none of the systems will ever cause a negative final PP nor will you ever lose PP by gaining PP.
As of right now this list is just a beta and still is being worked on. I'll update here as the project goes further along. Atm only players in the top 1K of any of the 4 gamemodes are being pulled for the list. Eventually we plan to expand this to top 10K of all modes (as this is most that is displayed on Osu Website)
Let me know what your guys thoughts on this are and if you have any suggestions/feedback!
