I don't actually think loved maps let you get the the star rating medals, at least I believe that's the way it was a long time ago and I don't specifically recall that changing. I don't have any medals left that I could easily test, so if someone has an example of a loved map actually giving one of the SR achievements that would be nice to know for sure.
They should apply to other achievements though.
