EDIT: I didn't know this was called 2B mapping lol. but here it is without sliders (two circles at the same time)
I'm a pretty avid rhythm gamer, and osu! and Clone Hero (technically Guitar Hero) are my two favorites. While a friend much better at CH than me was giving me tips, I thought about how osu! and CH/GH differ. One of the bigger differences is that CH/GH can have (for lack of an official term I should probably know) these double taps (or triple, or quad, or quint).
Now, osu! doesn't really have something along these lines. We have two tap buttons, CH/GH has five. So I thought, what if someone created a "double tap" where you had to press both of your tap buttons at the same time? I took to the beatmap editor (my first time ever opening it not on accident) and tried it out with a pretty simple beat (video link at the end of this paragraph). I think it's definitely interesting to say the least, but past that, I have no clue what this really entails. It could just be total garbage and that wouldn't surprise me at all, or it could be something new (or something already done; if it has been done, PLEASE PLEASE tell me so I can stop trying to make this better).

beatmap: if anyone cares enough to have it, please tell me how to upload it thanks
I pulled this off by mapping the beat regularly in 93BPM, adding bookmarks to the circles I wanted to make into double taps (all the threes above the center; all the circles below the center are singles). I then changed the BPM to 10,000 and added a circle one beat divisor thing after the bookmarks, effectively creating a double tap. This could be made closer to a "true double tap" by making the BPm bigger and the divisor smaller, but just for a proof of concept, this works well enough.
Practically speaking, this would be insanely hard to use in a beatmap, especially if the circles are aligned perfectly, since you're probably not going to even notice that there's two circles there, and not one. But I dunno, I just play the game, I'm not a mapper. Thought this would be interesting to make a proof of concept of and share with everyone to see what they think. Maybe it's cool, maybe it's stupid, maybe it's interesting.
P.S. If you watch the video, don't mind the 100s I keep getting, I'm bad
