[osu!catch] Fruit Bash 2018 | Open Rank | [Completed!]

Congrats to Touch Me & MasterForcer for being the victors of Fruit Bash 2018!



Thanks to Valelup for the graphics work!



 

  1. The tournament is a 2v2 tournament.
  2. All registrations are solo, this means you may register yourself to play, but not a team. All registrants will be entered into a massive player pool. Teams will be drawn at random and formed based off results. These teams will then be seeded accordingly.
  3. Teams will be seeded based off average rank and pp count of the team members. The pools will consist of High, Medium, Low and No Seed.
  4. This is an osu!catch, Score v2 tournament.
  5. The tournament is open to all players, there's no restrictions on country or region.
  6. The maximum amount of players per team is set at two to help making teams and getting averages easier.
  7. All match timings are in UTC, unless otherwise specified.
  8. The tournament will feature a 4, 4, 4, 4, 2, 1, 1 format, with 20 maps per stage pool. Free mod is it's own pool and requires at least one player per team to use any combination of mod. (4 NoMod, 4 HRs, 4 DTs, 4 HDs, 2 FMs, 1 FL, 1 TB)
  9. There is no rank limit, but in the case of excess registrants, teams will be selected first by their registration timestamp
  10. Grand Finals will be two matches, with a bracket reset if LB wins their match.

  6. WINNERS BRACKET FINALS 1 + LB 3: Nov. 30th ~ BO11
  7. Grand Finals: Dec. 8th ~ BO11
  8. TOURNAMENT END: Dec. 9th
  9. Schedules are tentative, but most matches will occur on Friday Night, Saturdays and/or Sundays.
  10. Match times are decided by the team's average times via UTC timezone.

We are extending the invitation to players until we reach 24 teams.
From that point we will discuss the possibility of increasing one more time.

Live drawings are tonight, schedules will follow. Once more, to those who aren't in the discord, you are putting yourselves and your team mate at risk if you can't stay up to date with announcements and schedules.

I know the tourney got off to a shakey start with a small lack of staff and some breakdowns in scheduling and rescheduling, BUT I am super grateful for everyone who helped out, I really can't thank those who went above and beyond to help out (you know who you are!). I do really wish I could give you all something, for now, I offer my love and appreciation and extend my offer out for Fruit Bash 2019 should any of you wish to come back!

Special shout out to [Ted] without you I don't think we'd've made it past Groups, your help with organizing, scheduling, emoting and shittalking everyone behind their backs in admin chat with me.
Thank you also to the staff who came on board midway through to help out like Sartan and Yumeno Himiko to name a few.

I really can't thank everyone and this post is too long now, so once again, thank you for being apart of Fruit Bash 2018, my first ever tourney. I hope everyone had fun and will return again next year
