Not much of an idea, and I'm not 100% sure anyone has said this, but it might work out better if the notifications in the bottom right corner of your osu! screen was transparent. Right now it blocks everything that's under it, even hitcircles. It rarely affects anything for me, but it does sometimes block hitcircles/approach circles/etc. once in a while, especially when notifications start stacking up really high (though it still quite infrequently blocks hitcircles and such).

I don't really find much need at all for this to be implemented right away, but it could just be a nice touch imo.

Don't really have any pictures, but I think it's easy enough to understand.

Hmmm, I set my notifications to appear during breaks only so I have never really had this problem but I can imagine that it would be annoying when they do block the hitcircles, even more so when one somehow miss because of them.

One of the main issues with changing anything to allow for transparency is that it does induce graphical slowdown.
Now add on however many notifications you receive during a play through or if you're like myself and have checked the messages to pop up during breaks which then floods the righthand side of your screen.

For people with less capable computers (even with how mine is acting lately and lagging frequently) this would become a nightmare for them after all the notifications render in and then disperse afterwards.

Making it transparent doesn't change rendering load at all. It will change readability, though.
If notifications distract you, please being by setting them to appear during breaks.

I agree with peppy. It's not too much of an issue, though if it is really too distracting, then you can just set them to display during the breaks. That may be a bit inconvenient, but aside from that, I also think that the notifications look good they way they are. If they became transparent, then it would have a completely different look.

Making them appear during breaks solves.
