Best monitors for mania?

Im buying a new pc (i5-8400/gtx 1060/16gb) and i want to buy a new monitor as well,i tried testing a new monitor my brother just got (lenovo li226d/60htz/7ms response) and while playing the game i notice this awful ghosting

Any recommendations on a cheap monitor for this? Im trying to be on budget but i will pay more for a smoother gameplay

If you want a smooth gameplay experience 144hz+ is a must. Make sure the monitor also has an adjustable stand, so it won't shake like crazy when you play fast maps.

The cheapest 144hz monitors are around $200 though. Acer 24" XFA240, AOC G2460PF 24” to name a few.

Anything that's 144hz or higher. Trust me you'll see notes a lot better especially at higher difficulties. It's basically a must have in order to climb up

I personally have an Asus ROG Swift but that's overkill. The Asus VG248QE is a great monitor too. I've personally used one

Sadly those monitors cost around 300$ here, i dont think i can afford that much (im also buying a new pc/headphones/mouse/keyboard so it all piles up).
I will probably settle down on a 60htz monitor

Use skin with big hit objects, like beatmania skins with arrows or big circles. It will heavily reduce visual "ghosting" on low refresh rate monitors.

monitors really dont matter in this game tbh it wont make you better or read easier
