Just like to mention that a year has passed since the 3/11 earthquake that devastated Japan. Here are some excellent side-by-side images of how the rubble has been cleaned up and transformed in affected regions. Many have recuperated and returned to their usual lives, much of the damage has been cleared and the economy has steadily begun to pick up. A huge thanks to everybody for their support and assistance over the past year.

it's been a year

You're welcome.

Listening to the BBC this morning about it. What a recovery in such time.

How the fuck has it been a year?
Scarth
Good to see that things are all back in order.

Because one revolution of the Earth about the sun has been completed, i.e. ~365 days.

My prayers go to the people in Japan.

Edited out some of the offensive comments, ShangMing there is no need for that kind of response here either.

Back on topic I am happy to see things are looking much better over there.

Very interesting.
That last picture actually hit my heart; happy things are working out there now.

Lol ok, but I don't think I said anything wrong because:

oh look, another useless post.

How about instead of praying, you actually do something that helps?

I'm being an asshole, really?

I thought it would be more practical to actually, you know, donate money and do charity events than to "pray" to an imaginary man in the sky (or get my osu forums post count up).

I'm not too sure, but I think that those who actually did something last year made a bigger impact than the ones who stayed home on their computers and "prayed". Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

You are wrong. An Earth year is 365.26 days.
Backfire
Ok, where can I send my imaginary money to?
I don't have any means to give money to them, if i did, I would.

I am not wrong, I clearly included "~", which means an estimate.

Anything else?

while praying does not help, preying on those praying doesn't either.

I was reminded of this earlier thanks to the expiration of my supporter tag.

Good to know they're keeping up.
Pretty interesting pictures, haven't seen anything like this.

Can I first get osu supporter status because I pray for you and the site every single day? I mean, it's the same as donating, right?
ychao
Somebody's had (or is still having?) a really tragic childhood.

Anyway on-topic, it is great to see such positive improvements almost a year on. Hope my little donation made at least some difference.

I've donated to the Japan cause and I still have them in my thoughts, since I'm not exactly religious. What have you done, since you're obviously critical on this?
xRayne
It's great to see that Japan is on it's way to a great recovery ^^

Apparently, a 6.8~6.9 (Whatever) earthquake hit hours ago, after a bit more than a year. Glad they're fine though.

...I honestly can't tell what you're trying to say.

- Religious people don't have the Japan cause in their thoughts?
- Whatever amount I donated or did not donate is actually relevant to the principle of donating vs. praying?

A thread called "ShangMing's bitching's on religion/relgion's inefficiency." could be created. Then all religiously inspired commentary here could be left alone. I'm exaggerating but clearly his determination is not going to let him stop posting where he has fuel.

It's nice to see Japan rising up after everything that has happened.

Y'all must watch this preview. It's really touching.
