As far as I know, Lazer is supposed to be cross platform some day. Not sure what this means for mobile, because for such plays to be rankable the circles would have to appear really small on a lot of devices.

Hmmmm does it really need to be small?
cause i think right now if u play osu!droid the circles are about same size as in pc.
like try playing osu! pc and the circles will also be larger

You should try opsu! It's available on Google Play and it has beatmap downloader. I played it some while ago, but as far as i remember it worked very well.

I don't see it picking up as opsu! is doing a good job to make up for it.

opsu! is kinda how do i say some maps hitcircle are smaller than youre finger's nail
Maybe you should try osu!droid,it's better than opsu! on circle size.
osu!droid will not be continued.
osu!droid will be continued, as osu!lazer won't be playable on Android in the short term.
In fact there are 40000 new registered players in osu!droid, and the latest update was on July-17-2019, it's still a active project.

Hago un reporte del osu!droid a día de hoy(12/12/2022) actualmente el proyecto sigue, hasta ahora sólo contamos con las versiones "stable"1.6.7(17/06/2019)
Y la " pre-release version 1.6.8|third stage"(actualizada hace 21 días)
Aún no hay modo multijugador online pero sí tabla de clasificación global.
En conclusón, el proyecto continúa y va bien👍👍.
