Limiting default count

I would like to stop the hitcircle default count from going over 9 in songs that do so. If possible, I'd like to return to 1 after going to 9. I've tried increasing hitcircleoverlap to make it so that numbers are to far away from each other but that just left the hitcircle blank after the 9 count. I've tried making the default-0 file blank, but this only prevented numbers that use 0 from being shown completely. Can this be done?

It's not the skin, it's the beatmap's circle/combo count.

I'm happy that you seem to have figured it out somewhat, but I'm confused about how you accomplished it.

You can't make the number go from 9 directly to 1. The best you can do is 1, 2, 3, ..., 9, 0, 1, 2 repeating.

Also, make the hitcircles have a solid background.

ALright, that will do. How exactly is this done? I definitely want to maintain the transparency of circle, so nothing solid.

Ok, well, how about making them dots instead? Some skins do that.

If you still want numbers, then you can try fitting them in the dot.
