Hello!

I'm fairly new to osu! and I am really starting to enjoy the game and get better at a quick rate. For most games I comfortably and accurately use 400dpi, so when I began to play osu! I continued to use this. Full settings:-

  1. 400 dpi
  2. 1x mouse sens multiplier.
  3. Fullscreen at 1366 x 768 (native)
  4. Steelseries Qck+ Mousepad (17.7 x 15.7 inches)

Though I am confident at this lower dpi, I am concerned that I will struggle on harder maps with difficult jumps in the future. Should I keep using these settings, or should I adjust them? (Btw, I am not interested in purchasing a tablet at his moment in time)

Many thanks,
xMedi

No, it is not too low.
Check https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0 and you'll see that some top players use a similar dpi-to-resolution ratio as you do.

Interesting!

I've picked up on the fact that a lot of mouse-only players play with 400 dpi, probably because they need to be more controlled with the mouse (I play with the D and F keys).

I have since switched my dpi to 700 (400 -> 800 -> 600 -> 700) and I find that my arm is not as tired after a few hours of gameplay. I didn't find it too hard to get used to and I can keep a similar if not better degree of accuracy.
