So here is the problem, I play Osu with only one standard setting and once somebody came over to play and switched the mouse input value and later he changed it back to the original state. Problem was, it didn't go back to the original state and I had to readjust myself to the new setting. So just a question but can I create a backup copy of my settings and later once somebody has changed it, I just reset it by replacing the default file? Just asking nyeh. Thanks in advance!

You can backup osu.<username>.cfg file. It saves every settings available.
You can also edit that using Notepad. So if anything happens, just re-edit that back to the default settings.

You could also make a separate user account and play on that, which would handle their settings automatically
