Almost couldn't find the quick reply box

er, lin-san (no way I'm calling you by your new name), do you want a diff title change/more mods for muzu? I'll ask garven to hold off a bit longer if you do.

lol ._.

If the bg has no name change, keep it, might as well. I did this map when I had my previous username, so I prefer it be kept like that.

oops, posted again. taking up thread space... sorry bout that! ><

First off; This is DEFINITELY not muzukashii- this is a lesser Oni. So, rename appropietly or easy this up. going for an easier diff, so lets do this.
Tips: avoid random triplets, keep 1/2s to a series of 5 1/2s beats if possible and make regular pauses.
if you're doing combo colors do them right. They seem absolutely random. red is o and O, blue is o and O. not sure how this is random.
you should get my point with a few examples
00:02:229 (2,3,1) - avoid this; this is definitely overmapping, not suited for a hard by no means. done.
00:06:757 (2,3,1) - easen up ^
00:05:767 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,3,1,1,1,2,3) - add pauses between beats^
00:12:135 (1,2,3) - remove triplet ^
00:13:267 (1,2,3) - remove triplet etc ^
00:18:644 (1,2,1,1,1,2,3,1,1,1,1) - too hard for muzukashii ddk d k kkd k is an oni pattern. (observation by a kurisu) ^
00:28:691 (1,2,1,2,1,2,3,1,1,1) - lessen the note density, do something like three beats pause three beats pause ^
00:49:069 (1,1,1,2,3,1,1,2,1,1,2,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,2,1,2,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,2,1,2,1,1,2,1,1,1,2,1,1,2,1,1,2,1) - this is a LOT better for a muzukashii; point to have a map a lot like this
00:58:196 (2,3) - remove these. done.
00:59:328 (2,3) - and these ^
01:02:088 (1,2) - or for example remove these so you can keep the triplet :| nah but I fixed it so the triplet is gone.
okay finished and made my own tweaks as suggested, should be good now. it's now 33 notes easier :3 thanks ~

I'll send my update when I come back ; have something to do.

EDIT: how to attach

EDIT 2: er, figured out you actually can't anymore ; given to Nyquill.

[Cherry's Taiko Muzukashii]

- For the most part you didn't really follow the drum beat which bothers me when playing.
- Return Stack Leniency to default 7.
- Remove All of the 1/4th in this diff. 1/4th at 212bpm a muzukashii does not make. Most taiko players that would be at the muzukashii level of play would probably have to alternate everything in this diff, and throwing 1/4th in the middle of alternating is not easy.
- There are a lot of finishes that are difficult to hit. (i.e. 01:28:833 (1,1,2,1,2,1,2) - The two in this combo, and others like it where you have "smallnote-Largenote-smallnote" and vise versa. At this bpm it's just too hard. It even confused me the first couple times I tried to play it.)
- Consider OD 4 instead of 5 because of the bpm.
- Use 1.4 slider velocity. Below and above that are only meant for very high or very low bpms, and this is neither even though it is fast. (Plus your finishes won't overlap which looks bad.)
- On a side note, I deleted the BG cuz I was playing outside my room.

I'm going to point out the things that bothered me the most here, but you should go through it yourself and rework a lot of it into easier patterns.

00:00:531 - Add large don
00:00:673 (1,1) - remove both of these
00:05:342 (4) - remove note
00:14:540 (1) - Don't use finishes for these piano notes
00:15:106 (1) - ^
00:15:531 (1) - ^
00:15:956 (1) - ^
00:17:371 (1) - ^
00:18:361 (1) - ^
00:19:069 (1) - ^
00:19:635 - I'm not sure why you are using longer strings of 1/2 notes here when this is the least dense part of the song musically, you may want to change it up a bit. I would say add a .8x slow down, but you may not want to do that in a muzu. Otherwise though this section from here to 00:37:748 needs to be much less note dense.
00:38:739 (2) - remove note
00:39:871 (2) - remove note again as it's copy pasted
00:56:852 (1) - remove finish
00:49:069 - You used d k k d a lot in this kiai. There's nothing wrong with that, but it does get a little boring playing the same pattern over and over.
01:05:484 (2,1,2,1) - This finish pattern is too hard
01:07:606 (1) - remove note
01:18:503 (2,3,4,5,1,1) - This finish pattern is too hard as well
01:27:842 (1) - remove finish
01:29:540 (1) - remove finish

I hope that helps P:

EDIT: And please don't respond to this mod with that green color text that you used to respond to the one before me. I can't read it at all even with my glasses.

- For the most part you didn't really follow the drum beat which bothers me when playing. yeah this was originally an oni and also my first so it's not stellar quality... bear with me.
- Return Stack Leniency to default 7. I thought... what the... I never even touched this, thanks for noticing. Wonder how that got there...
- Remove All of the 1/4th in this diff. 1/4th at 212bpm a muzukashii does not make. Most taiko players that would be at the muzukashii level of play would probably have to alternate everything in this diff, and throwing 1/4th in the middle of alternating is not easy. alright consider it done.

- Consider OD 4 instead of 5 because of the bpm. lowered HP alongside this.
- Use 1.4 slider velocity. Below and above that are only meant for very high or very low bpms, and this is neither even though it is fast. (Plus your finishes won't overlap which looks bad.) yeah I thought so too, until someone suggested otherwise *eyes fellow mappers in diff set*
- On a side note, I deleted the BG cuz I was playing outside my room. because people will automatically think you're watching porn

I'm going to point out the things that bothered me the most here, but you should go through it yourself and rework a lot of it into easier patterns.

01:27:842 (1) - remove finish did something different.
01:29:540 (1) - remove finish ^

I hope that helps P:

EDIT: And please don't respond to this mod with that green color text that you used to respond to the one before me. I can't read it at all even with my glasses. lucky I read this first, you should've put this at the top. just a warning.
Note: sorry if this mod seemed really vague, I don't have much time (you might be able to tell the time), so sorry in advance.

[General]

  1. Use CS3, AR0 in Muzukashii to lower the star rating (needs to be lower than Oni at least)
  2. Use CS7, AR10 in Oni to raise for ^

[Cherry's Taiko Muzukashii]

  1. Note: this was modded on the diff that was updated after Fiya and not the latest version updated on the server.
  2. I know Fiya said to use 1.4, but really it's just too fast for a muzu... Since it isn't mapped heavily, its like using AR9 in a normal/hard for standard (keep in mind: 212 BPM). The problem isn't really in making a difficulty fit for a muzu, but in the readability when something isn't mapped much. You will know what I mean if you try playing a random easy diff on AR10 compared to the standard insane that has AR9+ (you should notice that playing the easy is harder to hit with accuracy than you may think because the insanes basically lead players into the next note quickly, making high AR easier to play). The finishes don't (or at the most, very very slightly) overlap on 1.2 SV and since you don't have anymore 1/4, that part isn't a problem anymore. What about using 1.23 (hold CTRL while adjusting SV) instead? If you still have other reasons for using 1.4 SV besides to be authentic (not even sure 1.4 is authentic for a muzu) then please explain.
  3. HP4 isn't needed because of how short this song is (but hey it lowers star rating).
  4. Overall I'm not really sure if I'll be able to properly mod this; I just wish you would try to follow the drums a bit more. I probably won't be able to help much on this tbh, but I'll skim through it...
  5. Side note: suggestions that have no spaces between them (ex. "dk") will be 1/2 instead of the usual 1/4
  6. 00:06:333 - d here, then remove 00:06:474 and 00:06:757
  7. 00:10:861 - k
  8. 00:11:144 - d
  9. 00:11:427 - k
  10. 00:13:691 - kd dk
  11. 00:14:540 - d (if you are trying to follow the piano, then follow the piano in this whole section instead of switching back to drums at 00:15:389)
  12. Erm... I'll stop with the drum related suggestions, but I'm sure you know what I mean now. It just seems like you are trying to map to your own beat when following the drums here would be much better and more fitting.
  13. 00:19:210 - k
  14. 00:34:918 - d
  15. 00:35:342 - d
  16. 00:41:993 (1,2) - Completely random finishers that are inconsistent with the other phases
  17. 01:05:625 (1,1) - What's with this very awkward timing pattern (plus they are finishes so timing by AR is harder to read). Use white ticks or something? I see what you are trying to follow but it just doesn't play well
  18. 01:20:625 - d
  19. The Kiai overall follows the drums very nicely. If only the rest of the map was like this :<
  20. 01:29:540 - kk

[Taiko Oni]

  1. Remove the bookmark spam
  2. 00:14:540 (1,1,1,1,1,1,1) - Don't use finishes here please... It's a pretty piano D: (plus not consistent)
  3. Already previously sent my comments on IRC so~

I'm getting tired of these suggestions, it reminds me all too well of the problem I had with my previous rank. chase the light much? can this be finalized somehow? I'm not going to get caught in the crossfire again; I'm trying to believe everyone knows what they're doing and listening to other authorities but I don't want to have to make a choice when if I pick one option, the other will think I'm wrong. if it comes down to this, Nyquill can make the ultimate decision, it's his mapset.

01:01:380 (4) - This is the only slider that is 1/2 away from a previous note. What I suggest is removing 3 and make 2 a 1/2 slider with an added note on 01:01:097.
