So I read a nostalgia convo involving Pokémon... It eventually led to this:
Their batteries last 15-ish years. It's been someplace around 14.5 years since Pokemon premiered in the USA, so many will die, killing your buddies. If only we could trade from G/S/C to R/S/E/FR/LG...Bye-bye Lvl 100 Pokémon with "glitched" Mew and Surfing Pikachu ._.
Either way, Yellow versions will still last a year or two more. This is also why R/S tells you that the game is still playable but time-based events can no longer occur.
I gotta play some of my Blue.
I've seen some save batteries last even less then that... Particularly mine. Lost all my epic oldschool pokemon. They will be missed.

I'm gonna hate it when my Ruby dies out... That had so much on there, including the event-only Neon Ticket...
Why not just transfer the save to your computer?
