Buying my first tablet, should I get a CTL 490 or not?

I'm simply asking because I've heard very split opinions on it. Some people say it's got some serious input lag and others say it's working just fine. And considering my current skill-level I'm sure I can't even notice some tiny issues 4-digit player might.

Whether I decide to get it or not I would also like to know if any of you know the length of the cable that comes with the tablet. I can't it in any specsheets and it would be nice to know beforehand if I need to buy an extra cable.

I'd not suggest the 490, i have had two of them and then i got a 480 because of the input lag the 490's had was unplayable in the high stars.
Thats my personal experience atleast.

The 480 has been good, I do recommend that one.

I would definitely get the 480 if it was easier... There are no retailers in my country selling them and I cant find any used ones. And the only listings I found on Amazon were either outdated or cost several hundred bucks.

Are there any other cheap tablets popular for osu?

I never had any input lag with my 490, but that's just me. The Huion 420 is pretty cheap as well as the XP Pen G430s.

I began looking at the H420 indtead and at this point I think thats what Im gonna get. Im just kind of confused as to what the main difference of these 3 listings are...

The difference is that the Huion 420 has no buttons on the tablet, and the Huion H420 has 3 circle buttons on the side.

Huion has cursor delay though, so it gets harder to play the higher you go in Osu!. Edit: Huion tablets don't have cursor delay if you don't install the tablet drivers, but then you can't adjust the active area size or get pen pressure with them. The Huion H430P might be good without installing the tablet drivers.
Wacom CTL-490 also has cursor delay when hovering, but no delay when dragging (aka when pen nib is being pressed, so if you tape the nib, the cursor delay is gone even when hovering). Oh, but I've heard that the CTL-490 is like a lottery with some people getting cursor lag and some people not, so I'd suggest to avoid it either way.
The previous generation Wacom CTL-480 had no cursor delay.

I suggest XP-Pen G430 and XP-Pen G640 because they don't have cursor delay whether you install the tablet drivers or not, and they use passive pens (no-battery/no-recharge) like Wacom, plus they're way cheaper. Or if you can find a cheap Wacom CTL-480, that's a good choice too, but it's pretty hard to find for cheap nowadays.
Doxycyklin
I Personally use cth-490AK which is the art version of wacom intuos and dont feel any noticeable input lag. Ive tried my friends wacom intuos draw and it felt a little bit lagier. But the difference was not huge it was there but not so bad that it made me play worse. If you have no option to get the 480 go for wacom intuos art. Imo the huion 420 is not very good, I could not keep my aim steady with it. The cable length is about 4.9 feet or 1.5 meters in non retard units

I ended up ordering the H420. It was literally the only tablet I could find that shipped to Sweden.

The XP-Pen Store ships to Sweden though? Sweden is among the countries listed that you can ship to.

XP-Pen G640: https://www.storexppen.com/buy/54.html
But I'm guessing you were talking about Amazon.

i'm pretty sure the huion drivers on toy's profile have no input delay https://osu.ppy.sh/u/2757689

i've been using those and have had no issues with the h420 (although i'm not really sure if i'd be able to tell either way)

Ah I see.
I wouldn't be surprised if those old drivers really don't have input delay like you said because the Huion drivers have changed quite a bit since that version.

Yeah I meant amazon, didnt even think to check any other site since I already had such trouble finding a single tablet available in Sweden.
