As far as I'm concerned, at the moment Ducky is far ahead of any other Irish player in terms of overall skill. He is incredibly versatile, leaving me wondering if there's any kind of map he can't play, capable of pulling off incredible scores in terms of aim, reading, speed and his specialty - streams. Over the past year, Ducky has really kicked his streaming speed and stamina into high gear, achieving feats such as a 1000x combo on mazzerin's 8* nightmare deathstream "The Deceit/The Violation." I can't wait to see what will happen next time he decides he wants to get pp.
If there's one thing I've learned about natnat over the two years I've known him, it's not to underestimate him. He is the strongest tournament player Ireland has, boasting incredible reading and accuracy amongst many other things, even competing on teams with high level players like Wilchq and WubWoofWolf in tournaments during the year.
Throughout the year, Kujinn has thoroughly improved his all-round versatility and accuracy, starting out the year as a HDDT player, ending it capable of setting impressive scores in nomod, hdhr and hddt.
"The most loved Irish player" Swishi has incredible capacity for setting hidden scores with incredibly complex reading and tapping patterns, probably boasting the most global leaderboard scores any Irish player will for the foreseeable future.
(i couldn't put the brackets in the name because of the formatting) [ Robert ] is a skilled hr and nomod player, pulling off crazy jumps that not many others in the country can.
Gee is an incredibly skilled player in terms of his reading, aim, accuracy and consistency, however he did not do much this year, so I cannot place him higher than this on my list. I hope to see a big comeback from Gee next year, possibly retaking a top 5 spot.
Admittedly, I don't know much about Pedro yH and his skillset, but it's clear from the scores that he's set that his aim and accuracy are both to be taken seriously. He is one of the best hdhr players Ireland has seen, and it will be interesting to see what other kind of scores he will set.
To put it frankly - wackobako has the best reading in Ireland, paired with great aim and accuracy, but he didn't do really do much during the later months of 2017, for that reason he takes #10, this would have been much higher if he was more active in 2017
Figured I'd throw my votes in as well. I'm not the most active in the community but certain names have been popping up a lot more with impressive scores. It's nice to see a ton of improvement from players over the past year and hopefully everyone continues to improve this year.
Thank you to everyone who voted, I will be releasing a video showcasing the results hopefully in the not too distant future, I will be reaching out to people for commentary in this video, however- if you would be interested in doing commentary for a player then feel free to reply to this thread or just DM me through discord, twitter or osu, all should be easy enough.
