[Archived] Osu Not Letting Me Log In (?)

I recently changed my password and I can log in on a web browser but not the client.
When I press log in it just disconnects instanly.
I am 100% typing my password and user name correctly.

edit:
I've restarted my pc multiple times
disabled my firewall
run osu as admin
Re-installed osu multiple times
tried to repair osu
nothing still seems to work


Video or screenshot showing the problem: Nothing worth showing. it only shows what happens if you type your password or username wrong.



osu! version: 20171215.2 (latest)

Does it work with your older password? would be odd if that's the case

no, still shows the same thing
(the stuff it shows when you type your password / username wrong)

Make sure you are not typing spaces anywhere the should not be.

Make sure you have the correct input language selected for the osu! Window.

If neither of those solutions work, try typing your credentials into a different window (maybe a notepad file) and copy+pasting them into the correct input boxes.

I fixed it now.

I download a 2014 version of osu and it let me log in again.
Don't know why but I can log in again.

Its half fixed...

I can only log in with fallback version of osu?

After you have logged in, are you able to switch release streams back to Latest and remain logged in?

Yes! I can.
But if I log out I can no longer log back in unless I log in with the fallback version then switch.

So I guess this is still half fixed...

Delete osu!.<username>.cfg in the game directory, launch the client and then login.

so im permanently unable to log in right now...

Switch to cutting edge, try to log in one more time, and provide the network.log file in your osu!\Logs folder.

If you are able to access another computer, try logging in on that.

Make sure you are only logging in to one computer at a time if you do have access to another machine.

I tried logging in with another computer and it still wont let me log in
