No claps here? I think they go rather well with the song.

I think the proximity in this map is a tad much. Can make things confusing for the player, but I suppose patience in reading the approach rate solves things.

Kind of debatable, but I would suggest you go over this difficulty and play it through by sightreading a little to see which patterns and notes are more intuitive so you can fix some potential issues with spacing since the Distance Snap is very textbook here.

- 01:30:187 (4) - Stack on slider.

S.S.S Normal:

Like KeA, devoid of claps. Once you go over the hitsound suggestions in the following difficulties. You can apply them here.

- 01:49:569 (1) - Spinner should end on - 01:52:603 -

- 00:53:951 (7) - Remove the claps. Put a clap on the beginning and end of the repeat slider instead.

- 01:00:019 (1,2,3) - Suggestion to use New Combo on (2 & 3) since this pattern make use of a perfect overlap.

The clapping rhythm should be like this: 01:21:591 (1,2) - (1) should have no claps. While the beginning of (2) should receive a clap.

The order repeats itself. You can try variations of clapping style but make sure the claps don't land on the downbeat because that will disrupt the flow. Best to stick with what I wrote here.

- 01:26:647 (4,5) - Move somewhere else. Overlapping here is not pretty.

- 01:32:378 (7) - Remove this note.

- 01:43:164 (5) - ^

Ao no Insane:

Pattern-wise. Moderately clean and almost no bad overlapping. Rhythm is simple and you did not complicate anything, hitsound usage however, is a little misplaced.

- 00:44:176 (1) - Move the spinner to the previous red-tick on - 00:44:007 -

- 01:49:569 (1) - Remove the clap.

- 01:53:277 (6) - Remove the claps on the rest of the notes to come. Don't place them on White ticks here. It's terrible.

- 01:53:614 (8) & 01:54:288 (3) - Now, you place the claps on the White ticks here, rather than the previous examples.

Listen to the rhythm now and you'll catch on. Do the same for the rest of the notes you put claps on.

- 01:55:299 (1) - Clap on this particular repeat. From here on, consistent claps would be pretty nice.

- 01:57:996 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Remove all the claps. Utilize the rhythm I mentioned earlier.

02:04:400 (5,6) - Reverse the clapping position. 6 should have a clap instead of 5.

That's it.
Sorry for not being able to update for a long time. With these edits it looks and sounds much better!

- Kiai time should start at 01:28:943, don't see why you start it at the current place and end at 01:51:864 (don't understand why you end in the middle of a spinner.
- Preview point should be at 01:28:943 as well.
- Please keep end point the same for all diffs so either do a circle for 02:07:876 (Normal, Hard) or add spinner to Easy and Insane at that spot.
- If you're going to map this break at 01:52:369 for Insane, then map it for the other diffs as well. let beginners/casual player enjoy this part of the song as well and not just experienced player and this song isn't very long anyway so having no breaks is fine.
- Same with the beginning, if you're going to map it in Insane map it in the other diffs as well, the only time that it's fine to have a different begin / break time is when it's a guest diff imo.
- Combo colors are slightly different between diff, edit via notepad (File > open .osu in notepad), copy from one of the diff the combo colors, and paste it the other diffs.
- comboburst-1 & comboburst-2 exceed the 500px width limit, resize/crop so that it's lower than this. viewtopic.php?f=15&t=51694
- Just keep tick rate 1. 0.5x tick rate is unrankable now and I don't understand why you use slider tick 2 for Hard.
- Insane has an offset of 1339 which is different, not sure which timing is right so check it. Offset needs to be consistent between diffs in a mapset.
- I'll leave the timing check to someone, I'm not too good with timing, but it feel off to me.

+1 approach rate, current approach rate make the screen feel clustered and your note density is quite high.

00:52:538 (1,2) - It's a better idea to do short repeating slider instead. This pattern feel too hard for a Normal.

[Insane]
00:43:099 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - This is quite an annoying pattern to play, doing shorts sliders instead works better so (1,2) a slider, (3,4) a slider and etc.

This is a lot better than the other diffs. Nice job!

Well this is good if this is your first beatmap. It still need work, but I'm sure with enough mods you'll get there.

No star because of this and sorry for lazy mod since I don't really like the song (It may not look lazy, but it really is, I usually show you a screenshot of what I mean, but here I don't so that's what I mean and I ignore some minor issues as well.)

From what I can tell from looking at it, problems are most likely dealing with hitsounds. I'll do a full mod when you fix the offset~

Yeah, Faust was right, this is a impressive map considering it is your first submitted.

What's great about the diff is that it feels fairly fun to play despite you are completely new to this. The weaknesses you should probably work on are spacing, hitsounds, and more elaborate patterns and jumps, none of which are not obtainable with more experience.

00:44:459(1) - make this a curved slider to make a blanket.

00:28:280(1) - like my suggestion on easy. its too far near the middle.

I spot one .osb file in your folder. If you don't use Storyboards, then delete it.
I'm not really sure but I think you might need a Futsuu / Muzukashii for the Taiko diffs. t/92508

You deserve a star, mate. Thankfully I have one round of Star inside my pocket, so I'll shoot it. :D

00:00:760 (1,2,1,2,3,4) - These... are kind of complex to play as far as Easy difficulties go. Think you can simplify them a bit? The song is really quiet here, so it's hard to establish that kind of rhythm easily.
00:44:643 (2,3) - I don't recommend notes so soon after short repeat sliders like this in Easy difficulties. It's hard to tell when the slider is going to finish.
00:47:340 (1,2) - ^
00:55:429 (1,2) - ^ I'm not going to point any more out. I suggest you change them.
01:03:014 (1,2,3,4) - It would be better to simplify this rhythm instead of using so many short sliders. Using a repeating longer slider to emphasize the triplet rhythm would work best.
01:08:407 (1,2,3,4,5) - This isn't newbie friendly at all rhythmically or readability of the pattern. Please simplify it.
01:13:800 (4,5) - Using this kind of rhythm with circles only is pretty cruel for an Easy.

[Normal]
00:54:250 (4,1) - Using consecutive variable short multiple repeat sliders like this isn't recommended in a Normal. Keep the rhythm that they use consistent.
01:03:014 (1,1,1,1) - Please don't new combo spam
01:21:216 (5) - And now a 4-hit one. I'd re-think your use of this here. There are others, but yeah. Try picking one and sticking with it. Right now it's going to be a big guessing game for players of this level.
01:32:677 (7,1) - This jump was kind of surprising to come across after playing the rest of the map
01:52:059 (1) - Fairly soon after a spinner for a Normal. I'd give it a bit more time. The rhythm that the spinner and slider make sounds strange anyway.

[Taiko]
Consider adding a red line at 27726 and omitting the first barline. If you do this, add it for all difficulties please. This will remove that double line that occurs here.
Don't use taiko-specific BGs anymore, please.

00:54:250 (6,7,8,9,1,2) - Giant spacing -> tiny spacing when the music picks up. Doesn't make any sense.

01:07:396 (4,5,6,1,2,3,1,2,3) - I... really don't know what you're trying to follow in the song here.

01:36:553 (4) - The approach circle is very difficult to see against the video here, and considering the circlie is covered by a hitburst, it makes for a bad read. Consider changing things up here.

Basically fixed everything...looking back at my old mapping style i dont even know why i did some of those stuff from today's point of view ><
Except for the spinner bg though, it represents some events that happened in the game which kinda has a special meaning to players like me. If you think its too explicit then i dont mind replacing it with something else.

It's not that the spinner image is explicit - it's just that it doesn't really fit the theme of the rest of the skin elements imo. This is coming from the perspective of someone with no knowledge of the game at all.

[Taiko]
That part is still incredibly overmapped... then again, I guess the entire thing is pretty bad in that respect. Ah well.

Anyway, good work with the fixes. This looks a lot better now. Rebubbled!

  2. video quality is quite poor, try this (you may need to adjust the video offset, around -843ms maybe): http://puu.sh/1YM4g
  3. romanized artist should follow the asian names rule, that is: Kotera Kanako
  4. Title: 碧い軌跡 Aoi Kiseki -Opening size- (don't use or trust baidu if you're doing something Japanese related, romanized title is fine)
  5. and source: THE LEGEND OF HEROES: AO NO KISEKI (Falcom may call their works 英雄伝説XXX before the release, but have never given a number in the actual name.)
  6. tags: Falcom Sound Team jdk
  7. highly suggest you add a blanked sliderslide for the soft intro part, try http://up.ppy.sh/files/blank.wav if you agree on this

The 1/8 does sound like the fading point more than the blue tick, so its probably more appropriate
