[Archived] This app can't run on your PC

Problem Details:

Okay, so I noticed that Osu! had an update, so I clicked on it. Then it exited as usual. But when I tried to open it again, Windows gave me a message saying "This app can't run on your PC; To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher."

Hopefully you guys can help me out with this, and I'll be grateful for any help ! :D

Hits me too. Just only this update.

I was just playing fine right until it updated.

I've done everything the website told me (though I really think those will not help because
a)If there's an error in the registry or in your hard disk, I think you should have more important problems than Osu!
b)Smartscreen only works when you're trying to install something, not helping here because it's already installed/updated.
c)It's not network related.
Just my 2 cents.)

Hesitating to redownload Osu! because the launcher is just plain meh imho (it resets to 0% idk if its my net or the actual program) but will do it if I have spare time. Repair Osu!.exe also does the same error btw.

Any more tips?

Found something that might be useful on update.log under the Logs folder.

I updated the game works fine for me. Try reinstalling the game. If it's not working again post it as a bug.

Edit: Don't forget to save your beatmaps by copy pasting them in another folder

I accidentally fixed it without reinstalling.

I ran the installer I used to install the game.
Date of download: September 5, 2017

It 'updated' the game to a lower version, idk what version it was. The game worked, and updated once again to this version.

b20171031.24. Is this even the latest stable version? Anyway it is working now lol :D

Well, apparently there was an issue with the latest osu! update. Running the osu! installer (without uninstalling the game) should fix the issue.
