Problem Details:

Since the latest Cutting Edge update whenever i open OBS it makes osu! stuck at very low FPS and gets huge stutters. every driver is Up-to-date

My system specs are: NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti , I3 6100 and 8GB of RAM

Does it still happen on Stable Latest?

Are you sure it's not OBS causing the issue?

On stable its happening after like 10-15mins. Just opening causes it without streaming etc. after i close OBS it stays and i have to restart osu!

Is OBS opening as a "High Priority" process in Windows?

Just from the top of my head, that could be a cause. Encoding frames while playing with a high process priorty will cause a steep performance decrease, especially with an i3 processor.

From experience low end computers, especially with an i3, no matter what you're encoding with it's going to be taxing on your CPU. What's most likely happening is OBS' preview is using up the majority of your CPU, you should check task manager or another application to view things of that sort to see what your usage is.

The usage is 7% on OBS and osu! is like 5% on the menu soooo yea... and there is nothing else open

If you used GPU encode before and it's only now messing up with osu! then your best bet is to check if osu! is even using the 1050ti in the Nvidia Control Panel, preferred GPU option.

Do you use a multi-monitor setup?

Is osu! even the active fullscreen Window?

Maybe you haven't configured OBS correctly or a setting was modified?

I wouldn't know specifically what's causing it but I'll see if I can find anything. Respond if you resolve it with the solution attached.

Does it happen while only recording locally on the Stable build?

Streaming: https://www.reddit.com/r/obs/comments/3 ... _for_best/

Local Recording only: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/ ... rdings.16/

it happens by just opening. and it happens on every version

I have the exact same issue. I did a clean install of OBS and immediatly after opening my ms drops from 1.4 to 4.0 and the red dropped frames indicator cubes max out. When i tab out of osu it's fine, but when i tab back into osu the problems seem to return after about 101-30 seconds. my cpu and memory usage are insanely low with everything closed so this is not the issue.

Go to Nvidia geforce experience, settings in-game overlay Off

Worked for me, solution from reddit :D

I simply uninstalled it lol
