[Archived] Skin change not working anymore after corrupt files

Problem Details:

Hello,
After a problem with my hard drive, all the files inside were corrupted, Osu! as well.
I cleaned the hard drive and re-installed Osu!. Everything seems fine, except the skin that do not want to change anymore.
I tried with 3 differents skins at https://osuskins.info/ but the skin remains vanilla.

Any suggestion ? I also tried to spot some cache in appdata but it didn't solve anything..

Try to delete this skin from skins folder and then download skin from this link and unpack it to skins folder.

This one worked, do this mean that the three skins before are no longer up to date ?

No, it propably means your osu! isn't reading .osk files well.

You can install skins, just open your .osk file through rar and then go to songs folder, create new folder and unpack assets from inside of the archive.
