I'll start off by saying. My votes are based purely on performance, what I think and not biasness like "Oh I'm good friends with him therefore he should be on the list".
1. LanJay
- After getting a new set up with the 144hz, He has shown a major improvement in literally everything. He is able to perform consistently on every mod, tech maps and has also shown excellent performance in various tourneys too. His climbs and achievements gave him the number 1 spot from me for this year.
2. Elegant Loli
- Not jesus without a reason. He is that no mod and aim god. Any no mod maps he finds difficulty passing it that map must be broken. We've seen countless of crazy plays from just no mod maps alone, thus allowing his climb to the top 10 Singapore with skills that's way beyond what players his rank could do. In tourney, he has also clearly shown his abilities as he was able to perform really well. However his only flaw would be performing well and consistently on mods and high AR, otherwise he would've gotten the number 1 spot.
3.GSBlank
- Missing out on GSB would be my greatest sin as a singapore player. As a long time player in osu, he has shown steady improvements and consistent performance, maintaining his SG#3 rank for throughout the time. Only recently we,ve caught a glimpse of his incredible consistency on the Save Me Tragedy map, with mods HR HD FC. Excluding Hidden which he is most not confident with, he shown his capibilities on the 2 mods DT and HR in the bancho rankings and in tourneys. A player that really deserves more attention.
4. _Xancos_ (Javen)
- Laptop keys. Impossible? If it is then here is Javen proving you wrong. The idea such that scores done on laptop keys simply shows many players that you don't need a really good set up or keyboard to bring you to a high ranking or enable a high level of playing. I think he can be a good inspiration to lower ranking players who finds themselves complaining about their set up and how it's impossible to play with it. In tourney, he can perform pretty good too. He is that one player who would come to your mind when considering who you are to choose in an upcoming tournament be it score v1 or v2.
5. estellia (Emillia)
- I've known him as Estellia from the start so I'll shall refer him as that. It's is mainly due to his iconic playstyle with incredible aim and speed which is even able to land him in the global top 10 and not just the singapore top 10. Hands down to him. However, due to osu still being a rhythm game, I still have to enforce the idea that his accuracy might be what even made me think he's number 5 on the list. Not to mention his accuracy might be the very factor which can lead to many results in a tournament and how I might really reconsider to pick him should the chance arises. If all those were fixed, I'm very sure he would be way more successful in this osu career than before. I also hope he can communicate with the SG community more so we don't get the feeling he's far away simply because he is in the global tops.
6. Jolene
- Legend in the past and still quite a legend even as of now. A queen that is most likely never get dethroned until someone comes with a challenge. She was known in the past in 2014 for the SS in Can't Defeat Airman map by Blue Dragon(Mismagius) and came back from unban with still the undefeatable FC in that map in start of 2017. Her ability to perform on mods like DT and HR is simply amazing. 2014 was good and 2017 she came back even better. Although she may not be pursuing in terms of ranks too much, she is still a player that deserves respect for her skills.
7. Raindrop
- Clearly a seasoned mouse player with a great amount of experience throughout his years in osu. His ability to perform every mod consistently is commendable. May not be exactly the best, but he is not exactly the average either. Before his enlistment into National Service (NS), he has clearly shown his capabilities as one of the top singapore player through the scores he had made. I've been in tourneys with him before and needless to say, it is really reassuring to have him on a team with you. His consistency is amazing not just in multiplayer but in tournament, he plays a very huge part. Shame he will be inactive but given more time, he is bound to be that player who can progress way more than what he is now.
8. SeeL
- Maybe not as seasoned as Raindrop as a mouse player, he is still a name that is to be mentioned in this list. SeeL has clearly shown his amazing performance throughout the scores he has made(excluding you know ;')). He has the ability to maintain his high accuracy despite on long maps and also made really good scores like yuikonnu - caramel heaven [Skystar's Caramel] with a good accuracy. Being able to perform more than just decent on mods, he also does have great potential in advancing to more than just a top player in SG. Tourney skills wise, I might have to participate more with him to find out what I really think and not mindless comments.
9. Crafticious
- I'm not surprised if players don't really include him into their list, however as someone who spent the most time with him irl and watching his performance, he clearly deserve this spot on my list of top players. Why? Maybe Hidden may seem overrated to many, but the great scores he made, majority might not even be in his top ranks. As a mouse player too, his ability to play marathon and long maps consistently is beyond his ranks capabilities. In fact this very ability alone has already far surpassed most of the top players you might probably find now. His accuracy is great, decent on mods he don't normally much do like DT and HR. However he still made iconic plays on long maps with mods like HRHD on maps that is nearly 2k combo, in my opinion, really commnedable. He doesn't give himself negative remarks and give up right afterwards, he tries and on maps he can't do, he'll simply try again in the future until the results comes out. He does have a secret talent for tech maps, which leads to my surprise because most of the tech maps he's able to do, even I and most top players have difficulties on them. Shame that he have never participated in any tourneys yet because I trust if he does try in at least one of them, a good show is to be awaited.
10. Rtyzen
- Was planning on Nakano, but decided Rtyzen instead. This 2 players are known for their consistencies throughout from the past and even to now. However the reason why they are last on my list is not because I hate them or anything, but the topic for this is 2017 top Singaporean players. Sure they have made insane plays this year, however compared to others, they might not have been active as much. Like for example Nakano- and his AR11 plays on a 60hz monitor, simply amazing, not to mention Inferno HR FC. As for Rtyzen, I can be so damn sure majority of the SG commmunity can agree with me he is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too underrated. His skills are far beyond where he stands, even comparable to global top players. Being in tourneys with him quite many times, he has shown his insane tourney abilities too. Even for OWC, Singapore really needs to have him on the team. It's a shame he doesn't really try hard to even bother aabout rankings and have fun in his own way, which to me I find really admirable. If only this two players might have been on their prime this year, the last placing on my list might have not even been them.
