2017-10-24 17:06 Otakujanai: ACTION is listening to [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1450201 Camellia - Ethnik Khemikal Teknologi]
2017-10-24 17:07 Otakujanai: wait this is harder than i think
2017-10-24 17:08 Curiossity: is it
2017-10-24 17:08 Otakujanai: well those triples are quite energy draining stuff
2017-10-24 17:08 Otakujanai: spec me
2017-10-24 17:08 Curiossity: i am
2017-10-24 17:08 Curiossity: and yeah they are
2017-10-24 17:11 Otakujanai: didn't played for weeks
2017-10-24 17:14 Otakujanai: those short LNs make this much harder than i thought
2017-10-24 17:14 Curiossity: yeah
2017-10-24 17:14 Curiossity: not bad so far
2017-10-24 17:16 Otakujanai: rip
2017-10-24 17:17 Curiossity: nice play
2017-10-24 17:17 Otakujanai: i got 04:40:554 (280554|3,280654|3,280854|3,280954|3,281054|3) - this one wrong right?
2017-10-24 17:18 Curiossity: one moment
2017-10-24 17:21 Curiossity: uh
2017-10-24 17:21 Curiossity: in terms of, you missed it or
2017-10-24 17:21 Otakujanai: well probably intended but was bit hard for me after long jack section
2017-10-24 17:22 Curiossity: ah
2017-10-24 17:22 Curiossity: the sound lends itself nicely to the pattern though
2017-10-24 17:22 Otakujanai: yeah
2017-10-24 17:22 Otakujanai: won't put SVs here?
2017-10-24 17:23 Curiossity: hm
2017-10-24 17:23 Curiossity: idk
2017-10-24 17:23 Curiossity: maybe
2017-10-24 17:23 Otakujanai: I would better make this one to 1/4 length triple LN for 05:05:854 (305854|2,305854|3,305854|1,305954|1) -
2017-10-24 17:23 Otakujanai: 05:06:054 (306054|3,306054|0,306054|2,306154|2) -
2017-10-24 17:24 Otakujanai: 05:06:654 - sounds different with this one
2017-10-24 17:25 Curiossity: hmmm
2017-10-24 17:25 Curiossity: i can kind of see it
2017-10-24 17:25 Curiossity: not sure if i want the 1/4 ln tho
2017-10-24 17:25 Curiossity: might be a bit much, or are you thinking remove the 1/4 notes
2017-10-24 17:25 Otakujanai: yes
2017-10-24 17:26 Otakujanai: harder to recognize those sounds at 1/4 and 3/4
2017-10-24 17:26 Curiossity: i still think it's a bit too similar to the pattern 05:06:654 (306654|2) - to make it different
2017-10-24 17:26 Otakujanai: just keep it for now
2017-10-24 17:26 Curiossity: mkay
2017-10-24 17:26 Otakujanai: think about it later with bn
2017-10-24 17:26 Curiossity: i'll keep it in mind tho
2017-10-24 17:26 Curiossity: yea
2017-10-24 17:27 Curiossity: although i think most bns would not look that closely :c
2017-10-24 17:27 Otakujanai: 05:24:354 (324354|3,324454|1,324454|0,324554|1,324554|0,324654|3,324654|1,324654|2,324754|0,324854|3,324854|2,324954|3,324954|2) -
2017-10-24 17:27 Otakujanai: i know you focused on drum
2017-10-24 17:27 Otakujanai: but
2017-10-24 17:27 Otakujanai: main sound is changing so rearrange pattern a bit
2017-10-24 17:28 Otakujanai: 05:27:954 (327954|2,328054|1,328054|3,328154|3,328154|1) - this too
2017-10-24 17:28 Otakujanai: or make it bit easier
2017-10-24 17:28 Curiossity: you mean the synths or
2017-10-24 17:28 Curiossity: ah
2017-10-24 17:28 Otakujanai: the phphahhhpheh??sound is different
2017-10-24 17:29 Curiossity: uh
2017-10-24 17:29 Curiossity: lol
2017-10-24 17:29 Otakujanai: just to give short break
2017-10-24 17:29 Otakujanai: idk how to express in words lol
2017-10-24 17:29 Curiossity: as a transition maybe
2017-10-24 17:29 Curiossity: i think i understand
2017-10-24 17:29 Otakujanai: yep
2017-10-24 17:30 Otakujanai: and starting from 05:31:854 (331854|2,331854|3,331854|0,331954|1,332054|3,332054|2,332154|2,332154|3) - here
2017-10-24 17:30 Curiossity: so how's this for the first one https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9385780
2017-10-24 17:30 Otakujanai: just map bit differently
2017-10-24 17:30 Otakujanai: cuz it's last transition part
2017-10-24 17:30 Curiossity: ok
2017-10-24 17:31 Otakujanai: good enough
2017-10-24 17:31 Curiossity: @.@
2017-10-24 17:32 Curiossity: alrighty
2017-10-24 17:32 Otakujanai: 01:58:054 (118054|3) -
2017-10-24 17:32 Otakujanai: 01:57:454 (117454|1) -
2017-10-24 17:32 Otakujanai: why are these so different
2017-10-24 17:32 Otakujanai: i think only pitch differs
2017-10-24 17:33 Otakujanai: i mean 01:58:454 (118454|1) - this sound
2017-10-24 17:33 Curiossity: well the first one you linked is a much shorter sound, the second one drags on for a bit
2017-10-24 17:33 Curiossity: oh
2017-10-24 17:33 Otakujanai: not the shorter one
2017-10-24 17:33 Curiossity: well
2017-10-24 17:33 Curiossity: i wanted to represent them, and i think 1/2 ln is too tricky with the jacks so i went with 1/4
2017-10-24 17:34 Otakujanai: quite hard to put ln right
2017-10-24 17:34 Otakujanai: well i think
2017-10-24 17:34 Curiossity: yeah
2017-10-24 17:34 Otakujanai: 1/2 would be okay cuz
2017-10-24 17:34 Otakujanai: 1/4 ln is
2017-10-24 17:34 Otakujanai: oh it's not 1/4
2017-10-24 17:34 Otakujanai: 1/8
2017-10-24 17:34 Otakujanai: anyway it's only about 50ms
2017-10-24 17:35 Otakujanai: so while playing it's bit hard to tap lns that short
2017-10-24 17:35 Curiossity: yeah
2017-10-24 17:35 Curiossity: although it's about the same time it takes for you to jack in the other column
2017-10-24 17:35 Curiossity: right?
2017-10-24 17:35 Otakujanai: how about
2017-10-24 17:35 Curiossity: 01:58:454 (118454|0,118554|0) - here, i mean
2017-10-24 17:36 Otakujanai: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9385793
2017-10-24 17:36 Otakujanai: somewhat similar concept with this one
2017-10-24 17:36 Otakujanai: make 1 hand LN and give break
2017-10-24 17:37 Curiossity: what are breaks
2017-10-24 17:37 Curiossity: but, i see your point
2017-10-24 17:37 Curiossity: it would be a bit of rearranging though
2017-10-24 17:37 Otakujanai: just to make hand rest for short period
2017-10-24 17:37 Otakujanai: yeah
2017-10-24 17:37 Otakujanai: up to u
2017-10-24 17:37 Curiossity: not a bad idea
2017-10-24 17:38 Curiossity: i'll sleep on it
2017-10-24 17:38 Curiossity: well
2017-10-24 17:38 Curiossity: i might not sleep tonight so i'll think about it
2017-10-24 17:38 Curiossity: xd
2017-10-24 17:38 Otakujanai: 02:34:054 (154054|2,154154|1,154354|1,154454|3,154654|3,154754|0,154954|0,155054|2,155254|1) - better be LN
2017-10-24 17:38 Otakujanai: oki
2017-10-24 17:38 Otakujanai: bye~
2017-10-24 17:38 Otakujanai: oh
2017-10-24 17:38 Otakujanai: wait
2017-10-24 17:38 Otakujanai: lol
2017-10-24 17:38 Curiossity: lol
2017-10-24 17:38 Curiossity: i'm not going anywhere
2017-10-24 17:38 Otakujanai: thought you'll go to sleep
2017-10-24 17:38 Curiossity: nah
2017-10-24 17:39 Otakujanai: how about
2017-10-24 17:39 Otakujanai: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9385802
2017-10-24 17:40 Curiossity: hm
2017-10-24 17:40 Curiossity: i just made them all 1/8 and the last two 1/4
2017-10-24 17:40 Curiossity: but i like that idea more
2017-10-24 17:40 Otakujanai: kk
2017-10-24 17:42 Otakujanai: well it's not about patterning but
2017-10-24 17:42 Otakujanai: 04:41:254 (281254|3,281304|2,281354|1,281404|0,281454|3,281454|2,281554|1,281554|0,281654|3,281654|2,281754|1,281754|0) -
2017-10-24 17:42 Otakujanai: i think this part should be more dense
2017-10-24 17:42 Otakujanai: compared with
2017-10-24 17:42 Otakujanai: 04:40:654 (280654|1,280654|0,280654|3,280754|2,280754|0,280854|1,280854|3,280954|1,280954|3,281054|2,281054|3,281054|0,281154|0,281154|1) -
2017-10-24 17:43 Otakujanai: those parts
2017-10-24 17:43 Otakujanai: or just rearrange it to harder pattern
2017-10-24 17:43 Curiossity: hm
2017-10-24 17:43 Curiossity: ok
2017-10-24 17:43 Otakujanai: and how about
2017-10-24 17:44 Otakujanai: 04:41:854 - quadstream for a sec
2017-10-24 17:45 Curiossity: hmm
2017-10-24 17:45 Curiossity: really? quadstreams, huh...
2017-10-24 17:45 Curiossity: i like the idea
2017-10-24 17:45 Curiossity: but it's no where else in the map
2017-10-24 17:45 Otakujanai: just forget it then
2017-10-24 17:45 Otakujanai: i suck at consistency
2017-10-24 17:46 Curiossity: nah, i appreciate the ideas
2017-10-24 17:46 Otakujanai: it's just my mapping style
2017-10-24 17:46 Curiossity: yeah
2017-10-24 17:46 Otakujanai: i use quad 01:44:254 - like this point
2017-10-24 17:46 Otakujanai: since new part is starting
2017-10-24 17:46 Curiossity: ah yeah
2017-10-24 17:46 Curiossity: that could be good
2017-10-24 17:47 Otakujanai: and for 02:01:854 - these sounds
2017-10-24 17:47 Curiossity: right
2017-10-24 17:47 Otakujanai: which sounds quite different with other parts
2017-10-24 17:47 Otakujanai: that's why i pointed 04:41:854 - this one too
2017-10-24 17:49 Curiossity: mhm
2017-10-24 17:50 Curiossity: so for that part where you wanted it denser, would this be okay?
2017-10-24 17:50 Curiossity: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9385829
2017-10-24 17:50 Curiossity: a little trill before hand
2017-10-24 17:51 Otakujanai: yep
2017-10-24 17:51 Curiossity: cool
2017-10-24 17:51 Curiossity: didn't feel like messing with the rest of the pattern x.x
2017-10-24 17:51 Otakujanai: well then just keep your patterns
2017-10-24 17:52 Otakujanai: i didn't see your map for long time so don't remember all
2017-10-24 17:52 Curiossity: it was less of liking my patterns and more out of laziness
2017-10-24 17:52 Curiossity: x.x
2017-10-24 17:52 Otakujanai: haha
2017-10-24 17:52 Curiossity: also, what's weird is that without the burst parts here 04:24:254 (264254|0) - the map would be 5.15* or so
2017-10-24 17:53 Otakujanai: wut
2017-10-24 17:53 Otakujanai: that is
2017-10-24 17:53 Otakujanai: a lot similar with my jump
2017-10-24 17:53 Curiossity: yeah
2017-10-24 17:54 Curiossity: but low-5 star feels wrong for this kind of map
2017-10-24 17:54 Otakujanai: if i didn't put quad it was 5.35
2017-10-24 17:54 Otakujanai: yeah
2017-10-24 17:54 Curiossity: also
2017-10-24 17:54 Otakujanai: should be ~6.2 compared with other pp based maps
2017-10-24 17:54 Curiossity: did you notice any anchors in the 1/8 bursts
2017-10-24 17:54 Curiossity: yeah
2017-10-24 17:54 Otakujanai: well
2017-10-24 17:54 Otakujanai: there are some
2017-10-24 17:54 Otakujanai: but that's concept right?
2017-10-24 17:54 Curiossity: like here 01:15:454 (75454|2) -
2017-10-24 17:55 Otakujanai: imo 4 is okay
2017-10-24 17:55 Otakujanai: 5 is not
2017-10-24 17:55 Otakujanai: what i mean is
2017-10-24 17:55 Otakujanai: if we avoid every single anchor
2017-10-24 17:55 Curiossity: ah
2017-10-24 17:55 Otakujanai: there would be less pattern we can use
2017-10-24 17:55 Otakujanai: typically for 4k
2017-10-24 17:55 Curiossity: yeah
2017-10-24 17:55 Otakujanai: so ~4 is okay
2017-10-24 17:56 Curiossity: wait
2017-10-24 17:56 Otakujanai: 01:16:554 (76554|3,76704|3,76854|3,77004|3) - like this
2017-10-24 17:56 Curiossity: so in 7k, 7 is okay?
2017-10-24 17:56 Otakujanai: no
2017-10-24 17:56 Otakujanai: only about 2 or 3
2017-10-24 17:56 Curiossity: lol
2017-10-24 17:56 Otakujanai: lol
2017-10-24 17:56 Curiossity: was being silly
2017-10-24 17:56 Otakujanai: haha
2017-10-24 17:56 Curiossity: but yeah, i se
2017-10-24 17:56 Curiossity: see*
2017-10-24 17:57 Otakujanai: 04:53:054 -
2017-10-24 17:57 Otakujanai: silly suggestion here
2017-10-24 17:57 Otakujanai: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9385839
2017-10-24 17:57 Curiossity: uh
2017-10-24 17:57 Curiossity: lol
2017-10-24 17:57 Curiossity: not sure if it's intense enough for that
2017-10-24 17:58 Otakujanai: actually it's not intense except for 04:54:254 - in the screenshot
2017-10-24 17:58 Otakujanai: i can pass it easily
2017-10-24 17:59 Otakujanai: just suggested for fun tho
2017-10-24 17:59 Curiossity: well, can you pass it easily after 4 mins of jakcs
2017-10-24 17:59 Curiossity: jacks*
2017-10-24 17:59 Otakujanai: yeah
2017-10-24 17:59 Otakujanai: quite sure about it
2017-10-24 17:59 Otakujanai: cuz
2017-10-24 18:00 Otakujanai: first, for ultraplayers this map is not hard
2017-10-24 18:00 Otakujanai: second for players like me
2017-10-24 18:00 Otakujanai: plays those right hand jack as simple jump
2017-10-24 18:00 Curiossity: oh
2017-10-24 18:00 Curiossity: well if you're having to cheese the pattern
2017-10-24 18:00 Curiossity: then idunno
2017-10-24 18:01 Curiossity: not really looking to add things just for the ultra players x.x
2017-10-24 18:01 Curiossity: although, i do like the idea
2017-10-24 18:01 Otakujanai: then
2017-10-24 18:01 Otakujanai: 04:54:054 - ctrl+h till 04:54:454 - could be okay too
2017-10-24 18:02 Otakujanai: then i can pass by playing it as jack
2017-10-24 18:02 Otakujanai: of course you should rearrange some of those jacks
2017-10-24 18:02 Curiossity: right
2017-10-24 18:02 Otakujanai: btw
2017-10-24 18:02 Otakujanai: 04:56:254 -
2017-10-24 18:02 Otakujanai: this one
2017-10-24 18:02 Otakujanai: i mean those 3-2-2-2-3-2-2-2 parts
2017-10-24 18:03 Otakujanai: i'm not sure about it
2017-10-24 18:03 Otakujanai: cuz
2017-10-24 18:03 Otakujanai: i asked kawawa before about let's jump
2017-10-24 18:03 Otakujanai: and
2017-10-24 18:03 Otakujanai: follow me to my map
2017-10-24 18:03 Otakujanai: for a sec
2017-10-24 18:03 Curiossity: k
2017-10-24 18:04 Otakujanai: 05:15:772 -
2017-10-24 18:04 Otakujanai: quite similar layering right?
2017-10-24 18:04 Otakujanai: different style patterning but
2017-10-24 18:04 Otakujanai: it's 3-2-2-2
2017-10-24 18:04 Curiossity: yes, kind of
2017-10-24 18:04 Curiossity: right
2017-10-24 18:04 Otakujanai: although sounds are diverse

2017-10-24 18:05 Otakujanai: i'm meshing? those sounds
2017-10-24 18:05 Curiossity: hm
2017-10-24 18:05 Otakujanai: just not by listening to the sound but by simple patterning
2017-10-24 18:05 Curiossity: i mean
2017-10-24 18:05 Curiossity: i kind of understand
2017-10-24 18:06 Curiossity: cause you've got some 1/4 fading sound and a few other instruments
2017-10-24 18:06 Curiossity: or w/e
2017-10-24 18:06 Otakujanai: yeah
2017-10-24 18:06 Curiossity: that aren't a solid 1/4 but if you use them together they are?
2017-10-24 18:06 Curiossity: not quite sure tbh
2017-10-24 18:06 Otakujanai: he said
2017-10-24 18:06 Otakujanai: try to find main sound
2017-10-24 18:06 Otakujanai: and mix that with drum
2017-10-24 18:06 Curiossity: mhm
2017-10-24 18:06 Curiossity: i see
2017-10-24 18:07 Otakujanai: and focus on intensity of the sound while maintaining consistency
2017-10-24 18:07 Curiossity: makes sense
2017-10-24 18:07 Otakujanai: focking hard for me tbh
2017-10-24 18:07 Otakujanai: so
2017-10-24 18:07 Otakujanai: i

2017-10-24 18:08 Curiossity: it's rough with some of camellia's stuff
2017-10-24 18:08 Otakujanai: okay back to your map
2017-10-24 18:08 Otakujanai: yeah
2017-10-24 18:08 Otakujanai: actually i don't think
2017-10-24 18:08 Otakujanai: that algorithm?thing is not good enough
2017-10-24 18:09 Curiossity: the recently qualified one?
2017-10-24 18:09 Otakujanai: sounds are bit more diverse
2017-10-24 18:09 Otakujanai: and also
2017-10-24 18:09 Otakujanai: i don't understand why people kept saying that's p//s v.2
2017-10-24 18:09 Curiossity: well
2017-10-24 18:09 Otakujanai: cuz SVs are much more simple
2017-10-24 18:09 Curiossity: it's the second 1/4 spam 147 bpm map
2017-10-24 18:09 Otakujanai: although other things are the same
2017-10-24 18:09 Otakujanai: yah
2017-10-24 18:09 Curiossity: and it's got the 294bpm jumptrill that can be spammed

2017-10-24 18:10 Curiossity: it's clearly planet shaper
2017-10-24 18:10 Curiossity: jk

2017-10-24 18:10 Curiossity: from*
2017-10-24 18:10 Otakujanai: well not for SVs imo
2017-10-24 18:10 Curiossity: i meant, both maps have svs
2017-10-24 18:10 Otakujanai: but tbh not much players can notice SV quality is different right?
2017-10-24 18:11 Otakujanai: yeah i know
2017-10-24 18:11 Curiossity: yeah
2017-10-24 18:11 Curiossity: evening's svs are

2017-10-24 18:23 Otakujanai: well camellia songs are all the same style
2017-10-24 18:23 Curiossity: so there's not really anything for me to map that's consistent

heya, mod from my queue.

camellia hardstyle
  1. 02:21:254 - the sv here isn't so natural as the other ones with only 1/2 notes. Also it's the only part with highly increased sv that uses 1/4 notes so it's not consistent and might make players miss without a reason.
  2. 02:54:554 - consider smoothing the sv here or even changing the patterns as the sv change every 2 notes works better on ddkkddkkdd patterns or so, changing sv every colour change. Smoothing sv with a lower sv at the end shouldn't be a problem as you lower it even more on the next note at 03:02:654 (1) - with x0,50 sv.

small mod from me as I didn't find much else. My other suggestions wouldn't fit the mapping style you used here.

Good luck with pp map :^)

That kills HD players (testplay proved) with decreasing up to 0.50x. If the game supports figures up to 0.005x that would make this much easier ;w; So I keep for now until I have some better idea on this one

i think the first 53s are too boring to be mapped
and idk why they're on 1/3 1/6 ticks

00:50:154 (50154|2) - at least i tried this, it works better on 1/4
01:51:854 (111854|2) - LN?

Kuriossiti's Jungle Karnage
i think the first 53s are too boring to be mapped I don't think this part of the song is boring, it's the intro.
and idk why they're on 1/3 1/6 ticks The harp or w/e that's playing usually lands on 1/3 or 1/6.
00:50:154 (50154|2) - at least i tried this, it works better on 1/4 again, the harp thingy is 1/6 here, i'm not following the voice
01:51:854 (111854|2) - LN? Nah, not here. The LNs elsewhere are for the synth sound.
sorry i can't check the hardest parts since i can't even enjoy them.
Thanks for the mod, even if I didn't accept most of it c:
lucari0lu
00:34:254 (34254|3,34254|0,34320|2) - These currently start on the beat, in the music the instrument ends these 2 notes on the beat. This should be mapped accordingly and should be moved back by one space

the OD9 - HP 8.7 are way too much, please consider to use bigger HP rate and lower OD rate, 8 or lower and higher HP is somehow better for jacky map like this imo

and 02:01:954 (121954|2,121954|3,122054|1) - i suppose the double should be at 02:02:054 (122054|1,122354|2) - instead to highlight the kick, its louder

04:55:054 (295054|1) - stuttering sv would be great

05:02:854 (302854|2,302954|1,303154|1,303254|0) - kinda unfortunate to not layer the playing synth around this part and using JS-ish jack instead

the OD9 - HP 8.7 are way too much, please consider to use bigger HP rate and lower OD rate, 8 or lower and higher HP is somehow better for jacky map like this imo i guess that's fair, and with some of the shorter lns a lower od makes sense. od->8, hp->9.1

and 02:01:954 (121954|2,121954|3,122054|1) - i suppose the double should be at 02:02:054 (122054|1,122354|2) - instead to highlight the kick, its louder meh, i think it's more of the double highlighting the end of the snare sound instead, the kick isn't super apparent to me in this case

04:55:054 (295054|1) - stuttering sv would be great if i get around to it i will add this for sure

05:02:854 (302854|2,302954|1,303154|1,303254|0) - kinda unfortunate to not layer the playing synth around this part and using JS-ish jack instead yea, but the sound you show here kinda dissolves into the rest of the music so i think it'd be better to follow stuff you can hear

Thanks for the mod! I'd love to add svs at some point, just when i get around to it, but the map seems fine on its own anyway.

Also added some of my own changes, mostly for the slow parts and some of the first kiai: new edition
vrnl
here for taiko :3

general: none

map:

00:39:254 (81) - k? for high vocal
00:59:454 (196) - d, i think K K k is a little uncomfortable to play. and lower pitch here
01:15:454 - personal preference, but (dddd)k is weird. having dddk instead works better for me and id say most players? but im not sure
01:42:654 - ^
01:50:854 - is the green line here on purpose? if it was here 01:50:654 - it would work fine too.
02:06:654 - no 1/6?
02:41:654 (754) - i dont think finisher is needed, the finisher sound is good enough on this note 02:41:454 (753) -
02:54:454 - this looks cool :3
03:26:354 - this feels better if it is 1/4 triple starting on the red tick.
04:37:154 (104,105) - maybe delete these 2, there is a pause in the music. if you do that then i think there should be a note here 04:37:454 -
04:53:154 (248) - delete? to give more emphasis on this stream 04:53:254 -
05:20:554 (503,504,505) - very quiet here, maybe dont use finisher or SV
05:27:454 - kddk 1/6?
06:00:254 (17) - k , 06:01:054 (19) - d , (small detail but fits better)

map:

00:39:254 (81) - k? for high vocal I keep because of the dkd dkd pattern. I use it quite often in these parts
00:59:454 (196) - d, i think K K k is a little uncomfortable to play. and lower pitch here Change to D instead for consistency with later parts.
01:15:454 - personal preference, but (dddd)k is weird. having dddk instead works better for me and id say most players? but im not sure They are mapped for the progression of harder 1/6s
01:42:654 - ^ Same as above
01:50:854 - is the green line here on purpose? if it was here 01:50:654 - it would work fine too. I want all the big notes in the kiai stay a high SV, so I mapped like this
02:06:654 - no 1/6? The 1/6 here is not obvious and it would be too straining for players as it is going to another kiai
02:41:654 (754) - i dont think finisher is needed, the finisher sound is good enough on this note 02:41:454 (753) - It is to be consistent with the previous parts
02:54:454 - this looks cool :3 Thanks :D
03:26:354 - this feels better if it is 1/4 triple starting on the red tick. Changed to start at the first blue tick.
04:37:154 (104,105) - maybe delete these 2, there is a pause in the music. if you do that then i think there should be a note here 04:37:454 - I don't think so. I make pauses here when every melody sound sustains/breaks.
04:53:154 (248) - delete? to give more emphasis on this stream 04:53:254 - Nice catch
05:20:554 (503,504,505) - very quiet here, maybe dont use finisher or SV Again. I want it to be consistent.
05:27:454 - kddk 1/6? I use 1/6s here at specific locations. In this case, I choose not to include it
06:00:254 (17) - k , 06:01:054 (19) - d , (small detail but fits better) I think it is fine because I purposely mapped kk dk dk kk dk dk... to make it more fun to play.

[Kuriossiti's Jungle Karnage]
  1. 00:27:654 - 00:31:454 - 00:32:054 - 00:33:054 - As for consistency, I think you need double notes for these points to represent the vocal sounds.

  2. 00:36:654 (36654|1,36654|2,37054|0,37054|2,37054|3,37254|3,37254|1,37454|2,37454|0,37654|3,37654|1) - Actually I would prefer you to make them into single so you can keep your focus rather on the vocals throughout this part, which adds to consistency here.-

  3. 00:37:854 - 00:38:054 - 00:38:454 - 00:39:054 - Then for these points, you can have double notes for vocal.

  4. 00:39:254 - And you don't need double here.

  5. 00:43:254 - 00:46:654 - 00:51:654 - 00:52:054 - More places to make things into double notes for vocal.

  6. 00:52:454 (52454|3,52454|0,52520|2) - I think the snap here should not be like that if you use double for vocal. Instead, the double should be placed on 00:52:587 - , 1/6 snap, where the vocal really starts, so I would suggest you try this pattern: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/10854556

  7. 00:56:954 (56954|2,57054|1,57154|2,57254|1,57354|2,57454|1) - 00:58:554 (58554|1,58654|2,58754|1,58854|2,58854|0,58954|1,58954|3) - I don't really think you need such stacks at the beginning part of this map. Try to rearrange them a bit.

  8. 01:05:054 (65054|3,65354|3) - LN end on 1/8 makes less sense than ending them to 1/4 as they are the right place where the sounds stop. 01:05:654 (65654|3) - For this you can have some difference but I'd prefer 1/4 for simplification.

  9. 01:06:254 (66254|1,66354|1) - Move to col[1] so you can use each column for a jack for once in this bar.

  10. Better change 01:09:854 - to 01:09:854 - to the same patterns as 01:11:454 - to 01:12:254 - for more variation but not random since you are using different patterns each for twice.

  11. As you can see, from 01:15:454 - you are first using rolls to the left, and then 01:15:854 - right, so I would suggest 01:16:254 - here to use left roll and then 01:16:654 - right roll for balance.

  12. 01:18:654 - Some general problem for me starts from here. As I go through this buildup part, the patterns are rather too repetitive for me. As you can see, those continuous jacks are already very challenging, so I wonder if you really can rearrange a bit to mix more patterns into it, like you can move 01:18:954 (78954|1,78954|0) - this kind of double notes to col[2][3], or you can do them to col[1][4]. It is better for you to use patterns that repeats for twice but not four times to actually reduce a bit on the pressure about the original patterns and have more varieties into your map.It continues until 01:37:454 -

  13. 01:43:054 (103054|3,103104|1) - ctrl+h so that from 01:43:054 - to 01:43:454 - you can have all your notes rolling to the right.

  14. 01:43:754 (103754|0,103804|1) - Also, ctrl+g so that you can then have notes rolling to the left for the next interval between white lines. Maybe then you can move 01:43:604 (103604|1) - to col[1] for consistency.

  15. 01:44:254 - This whole kiai has some similar problems with 01:18:654 -, as the stacks are repeated for a bit too many times that really add unnecessary pressure to the players. I think you can do something similar as before too, like mixing more patterns and making them repeating for twice each.

  16. 01:50:654 - Double note fits better here as no C sound is present.

  17. 02:03:454 - Same as above. You can delete this LN 02:03:454 (123454|0) - instead.

  18. 02:06:654 - Something similar as previous rolls. Better making them rolling to one direction between one interval formed by white lines, and then to the inverse for the next.

  19. 02:35:454 - Still similar problem as before. Non-kiai is even much harder than kiai.02:35:554 (155554|1,155954|2,156354|1,156754|2,157154|1,157554|3,158754|2,159154|1,159554|2,159954|1,160754|0,161554|1,161954|2,162354|3,162754|1,163154|3,163554|2,163954|0,165154|0,165554|2,165954|1,166354|2,167154|0,167954|1) - These notes first can be deleted as they are not the major part of the music here. Besides, you don't need those double stacks at all in my opinion, as the drums here don't have such big impact that requires emphasis from the stacks. This ends at 02:48:254 -

  20. 03:04:254 - 03:07:454 - 03:11:454 - 03:13:854 - 03:14:654 - 03:17:054 - 03:17:854 - 03:20:254 - 03:21:054 - 03:21:854 - 03:22:654 - 03:23:454 - 03:24:254 - 03:25:054 - If you really wanna emphasize, double notes are enough.

  21. 03:26:387 (206387|1,206454|2) - How about moving these notes to col[1] and col[2] and then 03:26:254 (206254|2) - make this into a LN that ends at 03:26:654 - ? It resembles what you did for 00:52:654 (52654|1) -

I will continue my check later. I think the map really needs some improvements in its variety and hand balance Since it is a very challenging map, you have to always consider about these elements and mix basic patterns to avoid overly repetitive parts. Good luck!

  1. 00:27:654 - 00:31:454 - 00:32:054 - 00:33:054 - As for consistency, I think you need double notes for these points to represent the vocal sounds. sure, applied most. for a few of them, adding a double would have made the 4 note stream a bit messy, and i feel there wasn't enough to emphasize with a double.

  2. 00:36:654 (36654|1,36654|2,37054|0,37054|2,37054|3,37254|3,37254|1,37454|2,37454|0,37654|3,37654|1) - Actually I would prefer you to make them into single so you can keep your focus rather on the vocals throughout this part, which adds to consistency here.- okay

  3. 00:37:854 - 00:38:054 - 00:38:454 - 00:39:054 - Then for these points, you can have double notes for vocal. fixed all but first and last. for first, i think that it's more important to emphasize the note after, since the vocals don't really do anything there, but i added a note. for the last one, i think the main emphasis on the word is one beat later instead.

  4. 00:39:254 - And you don't need double here. see last point, i think there's more emphasis here instead

  5. 00:43:254 - 00:46:654 - 00:51:654 - 00:52:054 - More places to make things into double notes for vocal. accepted some, but in some places i think the instruments and vocals aren't loud enough to make it a double

  6. 00:52:454 (52454|3,52454|0,52520|2) - I think the snap here should not be like that if you use double for vocal. Instead, the double should be placed on 00:52:587 - , 1/6 snap, where the vocal really starts, so I would suggest you try this pattern: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/10854556 eh, i don't think it starts there... pretty sure it starts on the white line.

  7. 00:56:954 (56954|2,57054|1,57154|2,57254|1,57354|2,57454|1) - 00:58:554 (58554|1,58654|2,58754|1,58854|2,58854|0,58954|1,58954|3) - I don't really think you need such stacks at the beginning part of this map. Try to rearrange them a bit. conversely, i believe that they add a nice element to the map of a somewhat 'back and forth' rhythm. just streams here would be boring, and the jungle drums end up playing quite nicely with the stacks/trills/current patterns.

  8. 01:05:054 (65054|3,65354|3) - LN end on 1/8 makes less sense than ending them to 1/4 as they are the right place where the sounds stop. 01:05:654 (65654|3) - For this you can have some difference but I'd prefer 1/4 for simplification. i think i see what you mean. i just tried to do this for some consistency since the sounds are the same, but i'll see what i can do.

  9. 01:06:254 (66254|1,66354|1) - Move to col[1] so you can use each column for a jack for once in this bar. oops good catch

  10. Better change 01:09:854 - to 01:09:854 - to the same patterns as 01:11:454 - to 01:12:254 - for more variation but not random since you are using different patterns each for twice. added variation, and tried to follow some sort of pattern that you mentioned.

  11. As you can see, from 01:15:454 - you are first using rolls to the left, and then 01:15:854 - right, so I would suggest 01:16:254 - here to use left roll and then 01:16:654 - right roll for balance. i made some changes to get closer to what you asked for

  12. 01:18:654 - Some general problem for me starts from here. It is better for you to use patterns that repeats for twice but not four times to actually reduce a bit on the pressure about the original patterns and have more varieties into your map.It continues until 01:37:454 - i did as you asked, made the patterns only repeat twice. feels a lot better now, thanks

  13. 01:43:054 (103054|3,103104|1) - ctrl+h so that from 01:43:054 - to 01:43:454 - you can have all your notes rolling to the right. i made some changes here, good call

  14. 01:43:754 (103754|0,103804|1) - Also, ctrl+g so that you can then have notes rolling to the left for the next interval between white lines. Maybe then you can move 01:43:604 (103604|1) - to col[1] for consistency. fixed i think

  15. 01:44:254 - This whole kiai has some similar problems with 01:18:654 -, as the stacks are repeated for a bit too many times that really add unnecessary pressure to the players. I think you can do something similar as before too, like mixing more patterns and making them repeating for twice each. aye, fixed like the prev. part you mentioned

  16. 01:50:654 - Double note fits better here as no C sound is present. nah, i think a triple suits it better as it's a heavy sound regardless.

  17. 02:03:454 - Same as above. You can delete this LN 02:03:454 (123454|0) - instead. same as above, i think the sound is strong enough to require a triple

  18. 02:06:654 - Something similar as previous rolls. Better making them rolling to one direction between one interval formed by white lines, and then to the inverse for the next. i split up the direction between intervals of two white ticks, but still much better than before

  19. 02:35:454 - Still similar problem as before. This ends at 02:48:254 - I did end up removing all the triple jacks in this part, but i still kept the double stacks as i think there's still enough going on to make it reasonable. i want to keep up the intensity going into this part, as the driving kick is still quite intense as well.

  20. 03:04:254 - 03:07:454 - 03:11:454 - 03:13:854 - 03:14:654 - 03:17:054 - 03:17:854 - 03:20:254 - 03:21:054 - 03:21:854 - 03:22:654 - 03:23:454 - 03:24:254 - 03:25:054 - If you really wanna emphasize, double notes are enough. yup, fixed all

  21. 03:26:387 (206387|1,206454|2) - How about moving these notes to col[1] and col[2] and then 03:26:254 (206254|2) - make this into a LN that ends at 03:26:654 - ? It resembles what you did for 00:52:654 (52654|1) - alrighty, i made some pattern changes to make it a bit better.

I will continue my check later. I think the map really needs some improvements in its variety and hand balance Since it is a very challenging map, you have to always consider about these elements and mix basic patterns to avoid overly repetitive parts. Good luck!
Thanks for the mod! I definitely appreciated the changes you suggested to both the rolls and the sections with triple jacks. I went ahead and propogated those changes to the rest of the map, and also made some pattern improvements in the second half - hopefully the map gets updated before you continue.

[Kuriossiti's Jungle Karnage]
  1. 00:37:854 - Double for vocal.

  2. 00:44:254 - 00:44:854 - 00:45:854 - You have doubles here but not 00:31:454 - 00:32:054 - and 00:33:054 - .These are essentially the same music going, so please double check the consistency of note-catch and note amount used in these two similar parts. You might also need to add a few notes such as on 00:44:454 - to be consistent with the previous part as well.

  3. 01:25:654 (85654|2,85654|1,85754|1,85754|2) - Shouldn't you repeat this pattern first then going to 01:26:054 (86054|3,86054|0,86154|0,86154|3) - , just like the previous patterns? Also, 01:28:454 (88454|1,88454|0,88554|0,88554|1,88854|2,88854|0,88954|0,88954|2) - Why you suddenly change to another one? It just doesn't follow a good consistency here.

  4. 01:34:854 - Same inconsistent thing goes from here.Well things should be grouped in 4 first, so like, 01:36:054 (96054|1,96154|1) - these two should be on col[1].

  5. 03:37:054 - Double for vocal.

  6. 03:41:454 (221454|1,221454|3) - Just single should be enough since no sound actually needs to be emphasized here.

  7. 03:47:054 - ^

  8. 03:55:554 - I think from here you can try something like this to more accurately follow the music: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/10912949

  9. 04:03:354 - For consistency you should have a W hitsound and a double here.

  10. 04:07:454 (247454|3,247454|1,247554|3,247554|1,247654|0,247654|2,247754|0,247754|2,247854|3,247854|1,247954|3,247954|1,248054|0,248054|2,248154|0,248154|2) - 04:09:054 (249054|2,249054|1,249154|2,249154|1,249254|3,249254|0,249354|0,249354|3,249454|2,249454|1,249554|1,249554|2,249654|3,249654|0,249754|3,249754|0) - I don't mean it'
s wrong, but using such tiring jacks inside this long jumptrill part really makes it not suitable for a build-up part for the second-kiai. These kinds of jacks are some of the most exhausting kinds.

  11. 04:27:454 (267454|0,267554|0,267654|0,267804|0,267954|0,268104|0) - 04:27:554 (267554|3,267704|3,267854|3,267954|3,268054|3,268204|3,268354|3,268504|3) - Can you rearrange this part a bit to avoid these imbalance?

  12. 04:37:454 - Add W.

  13. 04:49:454 - I would suggest delete C here cuz the drum isn't like W+C.

  14. 04:54:654 - Maybe add a C?

Patterns of latter half part looks way better. Call me back when everything is replied. Also I would strongly suggest you to double check the hitsounds in the map as a whole, and be aware of the consistency of the calm vocal part in the beginning and in the middle.

[Kuriossiti's Jungle Karnage]
  1. 00:37:854 - Double for vocal. fiiine

  2. 00:44:254 - 00:44:854 - 00:45:854 - You have doubles here but not 00:31:454 - 00:32:054 - and 00:33:054 - .These are essentially the same music going, so please double check the consistency of note-catch and note amount used in these two similar parts. You might also need to add a few notes such as on 00:44:454 - to be consistent with the previous part as well. i changed quite a bit of the slower part, hopefully it's more consistent.

  3. 01:25:654 (85654|2,85654|1,85754|1,85754|2) - Shouldn't you repeat this pattern first then going to 01:26:054 (86054|3,86054|0,86154|0,86154|3) - , just like the previous patterns? Also, 01:28:454 (88454|1,88454|0,88554|0,88554|1,88854|2,88854|0,88954|0,88954|2) - Why you suddenly change to another one? It just doesn't follow a good consistency here. I was hoping to avoid having 1313 jack twice, but i realize i did the same with 14 and 12, so i fixed it

  4. 01:34:854 - Same inconsistent thing goes from here.Well things should be grouped in 4 first, so like, 01:36:054 (96054|1,96154|1) - these two should be on col[1]. aye, fixed up a bit (but this one was less important imo)

  5. 03:37:054 - Double for vocal. yep

  6. 03:41:454 (221454|1,221454|3) - Just single should be enough since no sound actually needs to be emphasized here. done

  7. 03:47:054 - ^ ^

  8. 03:55:554 - I think from here you can try something like this to more accurately follow the music: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/10912949 i added more lns, but the 1/4 are fine since there's sounds there for sure. not sure about extending that first ln, i feel like it has a natural cut off that allows for the player to focus on something else when this stuff kicks in

  9. 04:03:354 - For consistency you should have a W hitsound and a double here. mkay, jacked it

  10. 04:07:454 (247454|3,247454|1,247554|3,247554|1,247654|0,247654|2,247754|0,247754|2,247854|3,247854|1,247954|3,247954|1,248054|0,248054|2,248154|0,248154|2) - 04:09:054 (249054|2,249054|1,249154|2,249154|1,249254|3,249254|0,249354|0,249354|3,249454|2,249454|1,249554|1,249554|2,249654|3,249654|0,249754|3,249754|0) - I don't mean it'
s wrong, but using such tiring jacks inside this long jumptrill part really makes it not suitable for a build-up part for the second-kiai. These kinds of jacks are some of the most exhausting kinds. i think it's fine as a buildup part, but i see where you're coming from. i made some changes that fix those issues.

  11. 04:27:454 (267454|0,267554|0,267654|0,267804|0,267954|0,268104|0) - 04:27:554 (267554|3,267704|3,267854|3,267954|3,268054|3,268204|3,268354|3,268504|3) - Can you rearrange this part a bit to avoid these imbalance? that's intentional, i wanted to get away from the 1/8 js i had earlier. this is less dense, but much more difficult, which fits i think. plus, there's no imbalance hand-wise, it goes from left to right, twice. and it fits the theme of the first half with triple jacks. it's just really hard lol

  12. 04:37:454 - Add W. ok w

  13. 04:49:454 - I would suggest delete C here cuz the drum isn't like W+C. yea dunno what that was doing there, fixed

  14. 04:54:654 - Maybe add a C? sure, why not

Patterns of latter half part looks way better. Call me back when everything is replied. Also I would strongly suggest you to double check the hitsounds in the map as a whole, and be aware of the consistency of the calm vocal part in the beginning and in the middle.
thanks for part 2! c:

i think i made some fixes to the slow parts, and hopefully smoothed out the hitsounds.
