Toaph's HD (Done)
00:08:807 (8807|2,8807|3) - You use a double note here, but later use a triple on 00:10:063 (10063|0,10063|2,10063|3) - I think they sound similar, could be a consistency issue but I am indecisive. mmmmk
00:25:927 (25927|2) - I'd add a NM note to go with this LN, there is a drum hit with the vocal. fair
00:28:283 (28283|3) - Should be another NM note here, to be consistent with the part right after 00:28:440 (28440|2,28440|1) 28.440 has a cymbal crash on top of the other sounds so 28:253 shouldn't have the same representation
00:29:540 (29540|1) - Double NM here to be consistent (all these hands could be problems for an HD difficulty though, I recognize that). will accept for now
00:35:980 (35980|1) - Could be double NM, more emphasis on drum sound here. fair
00:36:451 (36451|3,36451|0) - You use a single NM here, but later a double NM at 00:38:964 (38964|3,38964|0,38964|2) - I'd review this section for consistency. don't remember why i did that...fixed
00:40:221 (40221|2,40221|3) - Don't think this needs to be a double NM, its not really different from the rest of the drum roll. there's an inflection in the drum sound that defends the placement of this jump
thanks for the mod my guy! Will send the new result to Hanss through discord for him to update soon

Hi, NM Request from PM.

4K:1|2|3|4

[General]
  1. Make sure you turn off Widescreen Support in all diffs.
  2. The hitsound volume is too high for me. I would suggest some value like 50%.
[EX]
  1. 00:10:063 - Here you can perceive a much stronger drum sound than before, so I would like to make a triple note here. If you want to avoid mini-jack just delete 00:09:985 (9985|0) - , but it depends on you.
  2. 00:21:058 - to 00:22:315 - You can try this way to rearrange your pattern to at least give some more difference with HD: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9385522
  3. 00:22:472 - And for here I would rather think double notes fit with the volume of these strong drums. Try this: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9385527
  4. 00:32:367 (32367|2,32367|1,32524|2,32524|0,32524|3,32681|3,32681|1,32760|2,32838|0,32838|1,32838|3) - It is better to rearrange this pattern so it will not repeat with the patterns before.
  5. 00:34:566 (34566|0,34566|3,34645|2,34723|1,34723|3,34723|0) - You may want to ctrl+h this pattern to mirror 00:33:938 (33938|3,33938|0,34016|2,34095|0,34095|1,34095|3) -
  6. 00:42:105 (42105|0,42105|3,42184|1,42262|2,42262|3,42262|0) - Ctrl+h this pattern to mirror 00:41:477 (41477|0,41477|3,41556|1,41634|2,41634|3,41634|0) -
  7. 01:07:236 (67236|1,67236|2) - Just like HD, it is a nice idea to make them into double 1/2 LNs as they reflect the song better.

Sorry for short mods. Good luck!
Applied everything, thank you <3

Ash's NM (Done)
00:07:079 (7079|0) - I don't know what the LN follows here. I think it flows better as a NM. This covers the 1/4 piano,
which is what I focus on for the next measure. I think it's ok tbh

00:09:592 - The tone of the drum rolls changes here slightly, but you could still continue the LN pattern by putting one on 3 (screencapped for reference).

Fair point, but since the drums moved to the more towards the background, I chose not to map these.
00:26:241 (26241|1,28755|1) - Could be changed to LNs to follow the drum rolls. I think it was more of a personal preference to not have LNs in this small section more than anything else.
00:29:226 (29226|2,29383|0,29697|2) - Same comment as above. I guess I have the same response here then lol

  1. 00:09:435 - to 00:09:749 - How about rearranging in this way to make things easier since 1/4 patterns are still a bit challenging for this diff? https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9784209.
  2. 00:24:357 - Same as above. Try this: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9784216.
  3. 00:28:126 (28126|0) - You may rearrange the patterns around to make this LN the same length as the highest diff. It looks a bit inconsistent.
  4. 00:42:419 (42419|0) - There is a stop in this sound, so better split the LN into two, with the 2nd from 00:42:577 - .
  5. 00:45:796 (45796|0) - Why not putting on col4 to finish this stair and help with balance?
  6. 00:46:032 - to 00:51:215 - I don't mean that your patterns are bad, but compared to Normal, it is a huge gap due to the focus on LNs. A solution for you to resolve this gap issue is to abandon either the vocal or guitar sounds you are using LNs to represent for. And it will be reasonable going with no LNs in normal, LNs for one instrument in Hard and for two in Expert.
  7. 00:54:985 (54985|1) - Move to col1 for balance.
  8. 00:56:084 - to 00:54:985 (54985|1) - The same gap issue pointed out earlier. Apply your solution here too.
  9. To avoid 01:02:838 (62838|0,62995|0) - this, you may move 01:02:995 (62995|0) - to col2, and then 01:03:310 (63310|1,63467|0) - flip these two objects.
  10. 01:03:467 (63467|2) - The guitars here seem a bit unclear. Actually following the Expert LN placement here will be nice.
  11. 01:06:608 (66608|0) - If you are following the melody, it should start at 01:06:765 - .
  12. 01:08:179 (68179|2) - Suggest shorten the length of this LN and follow the Expert.
  13. 01:08:807 (68807|0) - 01:13:048 (73048|1) - You may take a look at Expert and adjust your LNs here.
  14. 01:18:231 - Single note here is quite enough compared to the volume of 01:18:388 - such sound.

14:29 Noxus: am ready ;3
14:29 Tofu1222: nice
14:29 Tofu1222: I have already talked with asherz and his diff is ok now
14:29 *Noxus is listening to [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1433598 Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas - Just Awake (TV Size)]
14:30 Noxus: okie
14:30 Tofu1222: and now my first concern will be on your hitsound
14:30 Tofu1222: there are really too many double/triple hitsounds, but they are truly not needed
14:31 Noxus: i just had murumoo do my hitsounds
14:31 Tofu1222: oh
14:31 Tofu1222: they placements are right tho, but there should be multiple same hitsounds on the same line
14:32 Tofu1222: should not be
14:32 Tofu1222: you may talk to him later about this
14:32 Tofu1222: let's look at patterns first
14:34 Tofu1222: 00:12:184 - I guess you can add a note here since there is one melody sound on this line
14:35 Tofu1222: 00:17:210 - ^
14:35 Tofu1222: 00:18:231 (18231|3) - This LN should be on 00:18:074 - for the melody
14:35 Noxus: okie done
14:36 Noxus: alrighty
14:37 Tofu1222: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9784156 you may do some rearrangements like this to avoid 4-note stack
14:38 Noxus: can you give me the time stamp
14:39 Tofu1222: 00:31:425 - to 00:32:524 -
14:40 Noxus: okay
14:40 Noxus: changed
14:41 Tofu1222: 00:34:016 (34016|1,34095|2,34645|1,34723|2) - how about ctrl+h them to mirro the patterns from 00:32:681 - to 00:33:467 -
14:41 Noxus: sounds good
14:41 Tofu1222: 00:36:922 (36922|3) - move to col2 to avoid the 5-note stack on col4
14:42 Noxus: okie
14:44 Tofu1222: 01:09:592 (69592|1) - If you are following the melody not the vocal I think you need to delete this
14:45 Noxus: \okie
14:45 Tofu1222: then this diff is good now
14:46 Noxus: owob
14:46 Tofu1222: you may upload it and I will do a testplay. Then the two things you need to do are to find murumoo for hitsound and toaphster for modding HD
14:46 Tofu1222: and when all done -> bubbled
14:46 Tofu1222: xd
14:46 Noxus: owob
14:47 Tofu1222: (and dont forget to update ash's diff too
14:48 Noxus: okie i did
14:48 Noxus: go ahead and testplay
14:49 Tofu1222: rip SS
14:50 Noxus: ;p

Good Luck! ;)

  2. 00:24:357 - Same as above. Try this: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9784216. i see what you want, but I'm gonna make a small change to that pattern to avoid the anchor right at the end
  3. 00:28:126 (28126|0) - You may rearrange the patterns around to make this LN the same length as the highest diff. It looks a bit inconsistent. this is specifically done for PR so I'd rather not change it
  4. 00:42:419 (42419|0) - There is a stop in this sound, so better split the LN into two, with the 2nd from 00:42:577 - . sure? this one is pretty hard for me to hear but sure
  5. 00:45:796 (45796|0) - Why not putting on col4 to finish this stair and help with balance? Don't necessarily see the point but w/e
  6. 00:46:032 - to 00:51:215 - I don't mean that your patterns are bad, but compared to Normal, it is a huge gap due to the focus on LNs. A solution for you to resolve this gap issue is to abandon either the vocal or guitar sounds you are using LNs to represent for. And it will be reasonable going with no LNs in normal, LNs for one instrument in Hard and for two in Expert. yeah that's fair
  7. 00:54:985 (54985|1) - Move to col1 for balance. i suppose, but didn't change it for "balance", which isn't my main concern. Did it to avoid a small "minijack" type thing, and tried to avoid it anywhere else.
  8. 00:56:084 - to 00:54:985 (54985|1) - The same gap issue pointed out earlier. Apply your solution here too. Thought you were talking about like gaps between notes at first lol. Figured it out tho. Fixed owob
  9. To avoid 01:02:838 (62838|0,62995|0) - this, you may move 01:02:995 (62995|0) - to col2, and then 01:03:310 (63310|1,63467|0) - flip these two objects. good catch, talked about earlier
  10. 01:03:467 (63467|2) - The guitars here seem a bit unclear. Actually following the Expert LN placement here will be nice. tfw expert placement is wrong but i have to follow it smh. Fixed tho. 01:12:577 (72577|3,73048|1) - these two are staying as is to follow the length of the sound though
  11. 01:06:608 (66608|0) - If you are following the melody, it should start at 01:06:765 - . how about i start it at 01:06:294 - instead
  12. 01:08:179 (68179|2) - Suggest shorten the length of this LN and follow the Expert. no. That one is following the length of the voice,
and shortening it sacrifices quality imo. Plus this is really minor so
  13. 01:08:807 (68807|0) - 01:13:048 (73048|1) - You may take a look at Expert and adjust your LNs here. somewhat fixed, not following the EX for the lengths of some of the notes
  14. 01:18:231 - Single note here is quite enough compared to the volume of 01:18:388 - such sound. sure
Thanks for the mod! Hope everything is good to go now, will send it to Hanss and he'll probably get the hitsounds fixed or w/e and it'll hopefully be good enough quality to go!

Hitsounds redone by yours truly. Hopefully not a problem now :P

BNs please check that "hithat.wav" is no longer present in the mapset as it is no longer used.

00:37 Tofu1222: Well, I was suggesting noxus to find a hitnormal sample for just awake since the default one is really not good to hear (quite loud too)
00:37 Tofu1222: and he said you are in charge of hitsound
    00:37 Asherz007: I am indeed
00:37 Tofu1222: are you able to find any sample and message to noxus?
00:38 Asherz007: wdym by it's not good to hear
00:39 Tofu1222: cuz it is too loud, and when adding with other hitsounds you added, they sound somtimes even louder, which I don't think you are going to let hitnormal be the most representative one i guess
    00:40 Asherz007: where exactly might I ask
00:41 Tofu1222: 00:11:006 - to 00:20:744 - they are a bit misleading(?) when they are with other hitsounds
00:41 Tofu1222: in normal for example
00:43 Asherz007: I mean I can nerf the hitnormal volume
00:43 Tofu1222: yeah you also can definitely
00:43 Asherz007: Since there's a point in Expert where I make it louder deliberately
00:44 Tofu1222: was thinking that finding a new sample would be easy for all hmm but yeah that's a way too
00:44 Asherz007: tbh I'm not really seeing it as too much of a problem
00:45 Tofu1222: it may be my own dislike of default ones but well if you can nerf some volume that would be nice tho
00:49 Asherz007: was that just to my diff
00:51 Tofu1222: maybe yes cuz becuase there are much more hitsounds placed on higher diffs they look more compact and stronger than hitnormal
00:51 Asherz007: you can nerf the hitnormal hs volume through the timing points
00:51 Asherz007: since everything else has volume overrides
    00:51 Tofu1222: yeah
    00:52 Tofu1222: (it
00:52 Tofu1222: it's just my preference to have new samples xd but anyway both way can solve this
    00:52 Asherz007: lol
00:53 Asherz007: I was just working with what was there already
00:56 Tofu1222: and hitsounds would be fine for all diffs
00:56 Asherz007: I changed the hitnormals on mine to 33%
00:57 Asherz007: except a couple intentionally left high
    00:57 Tofu1222: nice
    00:57 Tofu1222: 'w'
    00:57 Asherz007: 'w'
  1. Besides, hitsounds in all diffs are checked. They are fine now.

00:55 Tofu1222: Hey toaph, still got a few issues with your diffs. Mostly about spreads. solve -> bubble
    00:55 Tofu1222: xd
00:56 TheToaphster: mmk whats the issues my man
00:57 Tofu1222: 00:06:294 - to 00:08:493 - your layering ( i mean note amount) is just the same with expert, but actually this causes a huge gap with normal
00:57 Tofu1222: a solution is to nerf those double notes in between
00:57 TheToaphster: ye i figured this part would come up
00:57 TheToaphster: would doing a jump for every 2 that are there now work?
00:57 TheToaphster: like 1 every other white line?
00:58 Tofu1222: hmm, may you screenshot your idea?
    00:58 TheToaphster: https://imgur-archive.ppy.sh/FOiXZlI.png
    00:58 TheToaphster: something like this?
00:58 TheToaphster: actually looking at that its missing jumps from my initial plan but ya know
00:58 Tofu1222: yeah its nice way
01:02 Tofu1222: 00:11:006 - from here, the layering somtimes are even denser than expert. A solution is to nerf triples to doubles, so the logic will be "LNs keeps, but whenever you hear a drum you only place a single note but not discerning snare and kick with 1 or 2 notes"
    01:02 Tofu1222: is it clear?
    01:03 TheToaphster: ye i getcha
    01:04 TheToaphster: ok fixed
    01:05 Tofu1222: and some more about this thing like 00:27:027 - 00:28:912 -
01:05 TheToaphster: would you want me to do some toning down of the little transition 00:20:587 (20587|3) - here?
    01:05 TheToaphster: 00:22:315 -
    01:05 TheToaphster: sorry
    01:05 TheToaphster: here
01:06 Tofu1222: toning down? what kind of transition do you mean?
01:06 TheToaphster: ok the part you mentioned i took out the doubles and made em singles
    01:06 Tofu1222: nice
01:09 Tofu1222: 00:36:451 - 00:36:765 - 00:37:079 - 00:37:393 - and so on, such doubles are suggested to nerf to single cuz the 1/4 notes make a gap already with normal, and it will be reasonable to just use single for better spread
    01:09 Tofu1222: 00:39:592 - till this one i guess
    01:09 TheToaphster: yeah, fair
    01:10 TheToaphster: alright fixed
    01:10 Tofu1222: 01:05:980 - double here is enough? its a W not a C here
    01:11 TheToaphster: u right
    01:11 TheToaphster: fixed
    01:11 Tofu1222: 01:08:807 - from here maybe doing the same nerf thing as 00:11:006 - ?
01:14 Tofu1222: and others that I haven't pointed out are parts only C sounds present, and because they are quite noticeable, I believe you double them in those parts are logical. The parts I point out have snares and kicks both in
01:14 TheToaphster: ok hold up i did something wrong and now a bunch of the changes got reverted
    01:14 Tofu1222: oh rip
01:14 TheToaphster: so i need to go back through the map and fix it again
    01:14 Tofu1222: ;w; i will wait for you
    01:14 Tofu1222: 00:34:095 (34095|1) - maybe wanna move to col1 to avoid stack?
01:15 Tofu1222: call me when you are done with changes xd
    01:15 TheToaphster: will do
01:17 TheToaphster: alright everything is fixed plus stack avoided owob
    01:17 Tofu1222: nice
01:18 Tofu1222: now maybe let noxus update and i will go thru this real quick
    01:18 Tofu1222: xd
    01:18 TheToaphster: update sent
01:27 Tofu1222: why no hitsound on ur diff qwq
    01:27 TheToaphster: I dont know
01:27 TheToaphster: ill figure it out
01:29 Tofu1222: hmm i still have a few concerns on your patterns tho. Might we fix em first?
01:30 Tofu1222: 00:22:315 - to 00:23:571 - Actually you don't need to double all cuz this will create many stacks, which increases the difficulty tbh. How about only double 00:22:315 - 00:22:786 - 00:23:257 - where you can hear C sounds on them?
    01:31 TheToaphster: sure
    01:31 Tofu1222: 00:24:828 - to 00:25:770 - following my previous idea, might wanna double 00:24:828 - 00:24:985 - 00:25:456 - 00:25:927 - ?
    01:32 TheToaphster: done
    01:33 Tofu1222: 00:34:880 - to 00:35:980 - , might wanna double 00:34:880 - 00:35:666 - 00:35:823 - 00:35:980 - these only?
01:34 Tofu1222: and for above did you rearrange to avoid stacks as possible?
01:34 TheToaphster: hold up a sec dad is calling
    01:35 Tofu1222: yeah
    01:35 TheToaphster: alright back
01:36 Tofu1222: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9795419 how about rearranging in this way at last to avoid all the stacks lol?
01:36 TheToaphster: alright i will look at the mod in a sec, i figured out the problems with hitsounds
01:36 TheToaphster: will have it fixed in like 4 minutes
01:36 Tofu1222: (noxus said he will fix for you
01:37 TheToaphster: nah this is ez pz
    01:37 Tofu1222: oh ok owo
01:37 TheToaphster: it was because i accidentally editted a version without hitsounds
    01:37 Tofu1222: oh gosh lol
01:37 TheToaphster: got one with it and am just fixing it up to be like the new one
01:37 TheToaphster: which wasnt too many changes
01:38 Tofu1222: so you may just making the hitsounded one by looking at unhitsounded one?
    01:38 TheToaphster: yeah
    01:38 Tofu1222: owob
01:38 TheToaphster: i have it in the reference thing and am just copying it
    01:46 TheToaphster: done
    01:46 Tofu1222: fixed all i said?
01:46 TheToaphster: it is now fully hitsounded and updated to the mod that isnt the link you sent
01:46 TheToaphster: will look at the screenshot right quick
01:48 TheToaphster: ok looked at it
01:48 TheToaphster: and id prefer not to change it to be only regular notes
01:49 TheToaphster: kinda takes away from the point of the map
01:49 TheToaphster: and the conventions i applied seconds earlier
01:49 Tofu1222: so you think the stacks can express the music at the end better?
    01:49 Tofu1222: well that's a way to think too
01:49 TheToaphster: plus i avoided a majority of the stacks by moving stuff around a bit

01:50 Tofu1222: well yeah this looks better too xd
01:50 TheToaphster: by doing this theres only one stack (assuming im interpreting what you mean by stack correctly) and its basically unavoidable with the mapping choices here
01:50 Tofu1222: if it fits your idea, then I am totally fine with this
01:51 Tofu1222: you may send to noxus

well this is not how i would go about this map honestly.

okay its hard to make objective points with this map since im basically contradicting your mapping style but i thought id say something after i heard concerns from a couple people.

m o s t of the map is charted with vocal or guitar over the drums. and quite frankly i feel that they have all blocked you from creating any sort of interesting patterns or concepts and instead its just a blur of LNs which seriously aren't nice to play. there is tons of strain and pressure behind them and it really ruins the experience from a playing point of view. from a mappers view, it doesnt give any emphasis towards the drums, which in this song are prominent throughout the song and since you prioritised (by the looks of it) the guitar, vocals etc it takes away that kind of emphasis or feeling that the drums give off during the song.

oh god and kiai. ah kiai. if this didnt exist i wouldn't make this post but here i am. my god kiai is an absolute state. since you again charted vocals AND another synth sound thing it takes this feeling of lost emphasis to a whole new extent. it feels extremely overmapped to the point where it feels like an attempt at something cool but instead is a mess of LNs that contradicts the music. the song itself is very sharp and in a way sophisticated and by charting LNs it completely goes against what the song is trying to convey. if it was another keymode it would be less of a pain to play and chart but since its 4k you're stuck with the mess that is this section.

the whole kiai is also very sudden and in a way shocking after the whole note spams at 00:36:294 - to 00:46:032 - . you would kind of expect more notes but i guess this is fine.

take a look at ash's diff, specifically kiai. its pretty much exactly how i would map this, and if these concepts were applied to higher diffs, it would work perfectly.

now this was a pretty subjective argument, since i disagree with how you've mapped the song as a whole, rather than sections within the map. im not asking you to change anything since its your mapping style and you're allowed to have that, i just feel in this instance it gets in the way of what the song is trying to portray/convey. if you were open to changes (which i doubt since its bubbled and blocko is on the way) i recommend you chart the drums over all else within the map. it would show the song (imo) alot better than it is now, since there will be more emphasis on the more prominent sounds which is essentially a basic osu mania principle.

here's a mod bc i found some stuff

[top diff]

i have to say it is pretty well polished.

00:06:294 (6294|1,6372|2,6451|1,6608|2,6686|1,6765|2,7079|3,7158|1,7236|3,7707|0,7786|3,7864|0,8100|3,8179|1,8257|3) - this whole section is infested with some weird trills which kinda make it awkward to play and hinders flow slightly. if its intended then go ahead but i personally would prefer rolls or bursts rather than trills because they are more comfortable to play

00:10:535 (10535|1) - like umo said, this should end 1/4 earlier but its up to you really, since it would flow better as 1/2

00:11:948 (11948|0,12184|0) - this LN shield here makes no sense to me since it only makes it cancer to play and doesnt give any chart benefits or whatever. a simple solution is to CTRL+H these 00:12:184 (12184|0,12262|3) -

00:33:624 - triple for cymbal, right? or a quad like at 00:38:493 -

01:00:011 (60011|3,60090|2,60168|0,60247|3,60325|0) - these need to trill like at 00:49:959 (49959|3,50037|0,50116|3,50194|0,50273|3) -

nothing here was meant to be rude. if i came across as rude then i apologise.

btw alluka doesnt appear until one of the later arcs in hxh and the song is from the first arc so pls change bg kthx

Charting Keys, Vocals and Drums in the same part to make a dense, challenging and rewarding section to hit. It's the hardest difficulty after all. Not going to make this another bland TV Size, sorry. The whole twist of the chart people won't see coming is a nice barrage of LN which are reasonable.

take a look at ash's diff, specifically kiai. its pretty much exactly how i would map this, and if these concepts were applied to higher diffs, it would work perfectly. I'd prefer the current style I have in the kiai section. Thanks for your opinion though.

00:10:535 (10535|1) - like umo said, this should end 1/4 earlier but its up to you really, since it would flow better as 1/2 - No change, I prefer the flow.

00:33:624 - triple for cymbal, right? or a quad like at 00:38:493 -Fixed, changed it to a triple chord. Avoided the quad chord at 33 seconds in to avoid an insane stack on the 1st and 4th column.

  1. 00:44:147 (44147|0,44304|0,44461|0,44618|0,44775|0) - Maybe you can rearrange this part to avoid this stack?
  2. 00:49:645 (49645|2) - I think this LN should be splited into two cuz they represent different melody sounds.
  3. 00:59:697 (59697|0) - Same as above.

Not really spot any other problems. Check these first and I guess this diff should be good to go. ;)

i think this rebubble is incredibly hasty, expecially because of how... questionable the top difficulty is.

Some of the mods that have been posted have either been shoved to the side or straight out ignored and i really thing as a mapper you really should go back and read the mods and think about what people are asking you to do before you respond.

From what ive seen in discord talking to you and others who have also spoken to you, you seem incredibly reluctant to change even when its clearly beneficial.

This mod inparticular expresses concerns with the map, most prominently the play-ability of the song during the kiai time which had some very valid points that absolutely could of been resolved or reasoned against.
Instead from all i can gather theres reluctance to change, or even consider change.

I feel this map still has a ton of room for discussion and think its way to early to result in a bubble, i feel more selfmodding / mods from other modders should be gathered to assist this map in becoming the best it can be.

TO CLARIFY ; Im not making this post to be an ass, im making this to help have this map be the best it can be, especially since its clear your going for ranked.

your replies to mine and crumpets concerns have been condescending and very passive aggressive. we have said our concerns about the map in a relatively civil way and you've just replied like you don't give a shit about your own map. seriously, stop acting like you are above us because that is seriously the vibe you're giving off.

i'm really not happy with any of your replies. they dont help with trying to improve your own map let alone help us try to help you, or even just understand the map some more. everything you have said it just treated like trash and thrown away before we can act. now i beg that you grow up and reply to the concerns placed in front of you properly instead of reply with something like "are you blind? lmfao". this shit is just rude and immature.

Ok so I'm gonna make a response to some of the complaints that have been noted in recent posts, and while this isn't concerning my difficulty (which is pretty weird since I utilized a pretty similar mapping style and should probably be getting hit with some complaints too, which will probably bring me to one of the points I'll be making). Don't know if any of what I'm saying will really matter, or if I am articulating any of this properly, but I'll try.

The biggest problem with the map that I'm seeing people complain about is the kiai.

I'll take error_exe's statement first in which he makes the claim that by using LNs to represent the vocals and synth instead of going with regular notes for drums instead it takes away from the overall "sharpness" of the song. Lets say we take this into account, get rid of LNs, and replace it with some basic ass chords. There likely wouldn't be any more complicated rhythm than there already is, and would be arguably far more boring and unrepresentative of the "sharpness" that you think the LNs are taking away from it. Not only that, but the LNs, to me, help convey the sounds being played in the music much better than the simple chords would be able to.

Now for the fact that its a mess and unplayable in the kiai. This shouldn't be a complaint, honestly. A map being hard and uncomfortable to play isn't a reason to go against it, especially if the mapping is done in a way that represents the sounds well. This "lack of playability" thing is also an interesting argument to bring up because this might be the reason for something I mentioned earlier: no one is talking about my difficulty's use of LNs and how its not as sharp because of it or w/e. Obviously my difficulty is more playable/easier, since its supposed to be the hard and not the insane, and trying to nerf Achromatic's kiai section to a point where it is "playable" will likely ruin the difficulty spread, making the kiai's of two maps that are supposed to be noticeably different in difficulty rather similar. There was a comment about Ash's diff and how it was mapped "exactly how [error_exe] would map it." This kind of argument, with respect to the spread in general, isn't really particularly valid either I'd like to say. It is something to note, since it doesn't exactly line up with the mapping styles of the two difficulties above it, but we've already discussed that the LNs are making it less playable/more uncomfortable, and throwing those into a normal difficulty map would cause problems on its own.

Now then, there was also a statement that using LNs forces Noxus to avoid interesting/creative patterning, but im not quite sure how getting rid of LNs would, in any way, result in more creative/interesting patterns. Its all going to be basically the same rhythms and what not, so making the LNs should give way for more interesting patterns, not less. I would even argue that (going back to the comment about Ash's difficulty) mapping the kiai like that would be really boring and same-y.

For what I saw these were the main arguments, though I did just skim over the mods, so if there was anything I got wrong about the suggestions, I'm open to be wrong about it. This is just my opinion about the map and the style used, nothing is definitive. I just wanted to put my opinion out there and defend what I think is a map that is fine.
I'll finish off by saying (like everyone else) that I'm not trying to be aggressive or angry with anyone or say that they're stupid, just trying to keep a map from being torn apart and reduced to something really basic because of a lack of playability or uncomfortable patterns

This mod inparticular expresses concerns with the map, most prominently the play-ability of the song during the kiai time which had some very valid points that absolutely could of been resolved or reasoned against.
Instead from all i can gather theres reluctance to change, or even consider change.

oh god and kiai. ah kiai. if this didnt exist i wouldn't make this post but here i am. my god kiai is an absolute state. since you again charted vocals AND another synth sound thing it takes this feeling of lost emphasis to a whole new extent. it feels extremely overmapped to the point where it feels like an attempt at something cool but instead is a mess of LNs that contradicts the music. the song itself is very sharp and in a way sophisticated and by charting LNs it completely goes against what the song is trying to convey. if it was another keymode it would be less of a pain to play and chart but since its 4k you're stuck with the mess that is this section.
Not only that, but the LNs, to me, help convey the sounds being played in the music much better than the simple chords would be able to.

though i disagree with some patterns, the map generally follows the same concepts consistently - i do have a few small concerns, however. i'm aware that some patterns are likely intentional but these are just clarifications mostly

1. synth LNs don't distinguish between the shorter and longer synth sounds
2. end of vocal LNs not snapping to the end of the particular sound, rather, snapping to the beginning of the next vocal sound
3. 00:11:948 (11948|0,12105|1) - the second sound clearly starts on the blue tick. i understand it's mapped as a regular note there but in toaph's diff, that sound is not mapped.
4. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9902542 achromatic | toaph's hard - is this intentional??
5. 00:57:184 (57184|1,57341|3,57498|1,57655|3,57812|1,57969|3,58126|1,58283|3,58440|1) - and 00:59:383 (59383|1,59540|2,59697|1,59854|2) - is there a reason for them to be mapped like this?

overall good map, i actually enjoyed the kiai aside from the fact that some of the LNs didn't really end when i expected them to haha

1. synth LNs don't distinguish between the shorter and longer synth sounds not exactly sure what you mean by this, but after checking through the maps, there are a few synth sounds that are over/underextended (at least in Noxus' diff, and probably also mine but I just skimmed through the maps), though I'll let him sort that out if he wants to change it.
2. end of vocal LNs not snapping to the end of the particular sound, rather, snapping to the beginning of the next vocal sound most of the time I think the vocals in the song transition like they are connected anyways, so having the LNs stretch to the next vocal sound usually isn't too much of a problem. Again, will let Noxus respond to this regarding his own map if he would like to
3. 00:11:948 (11948|0,12105|1) - the second sound clearly starts on the blue tick. i understand it's mapped as a regular note there but in toaph's diff, that sound is not mapped. this one I can respond to, and I stated something like this in one of the earlier mods, but since its a HD, I tried to avoid any triplet patterns like that while holding LNs to avoid any bursts with LN that might be seen as a diff spike. Not sure if its worth changing but I'd likely have to work with the rest of the map and add in triplets like that throughout if I changed it
4. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9902542 achromatic | toaph's hard - is this intentional?? no idea, should probably let Noxus handle this one
5. 00:57:184 (57184|1,57341|3,57498|1,57655|3,57812|1,57969|3,58126|1,58283|3,58440|1) - and 00:59:383 (59383|1,59540|2,59697|1,59854|2) - is there a reason for them to be mapped like this? Another thing Noxus would look at, but I think it might just be something he overlooked.
Not that its too big of a problem but we'll wait to see his response when he finds it

overall good map, i actually enjoyed the kiai aside from the fact that some of the LNs didn't really end when i expected them to haha

So I'm listening to the sound in the editor, and I'm not sure what sound you are referring to. If it is the synth you are saying starts on a blue tick,
I don't know if that is valid, since at full speed the synth is starting on the red tick, though I can see what you're saying in terms of it seeming like it might be starting on blue. The sound not only sounds to me like it starts on red, but with respect to the song, the sound is meant to be on that red tick, and changing the position of the note based a very minor property of the synth sound itself would probably be weird, especially when players try to time it right

Broke bubble because hitsounds were not optimized (which asherz fixed), did one last thorough self mod and put in a suggestion from qqqant and added in soft-hitnormal in the song folder as requested by Litharrale. Also changed the source from "HUNTER X HUNTER" to "HUNTER×HUNTER" as requested by multiple meta data checkers from the meta data discord server. Thanks all for your help!
