I was thinking about getting a rechargeable pen for my huion 420 tablet, and ik that it is significantly lighter, but i was wondering how much of a difference the weight would make? like will i overaim more often (i hover) or not be able to hold the pen steady or whatever, until i get used to it at least

Nope, some people prefer the battery powered pen for the added weight, but after the initial 30 minutes of using a rechargeable pen you get used to it. I honestly prefer the rechargeable one personally because i thought the battery one was too heavy, but thats probably just me. And whenever i got my rechargeable pen i didnt notice any issue with overaiming.
For the price of a new pen you could just buy a decent wacom tablet
