Their are spacing problems thatll be fixed.

Somebody said the map has boring concepts. I say the map has fundamentals.

The following are suggestions that you should not implement before considering their implications and the feel of the map. They may be in no particular order.

Insane
  • General
  1. This map is circle size (CS) 3.5. Most maps are CS 4, though not all maps need, or should, be. Higher CS means more focus on aim precision and more space for patterns, whereas lower CS allows for crazy patterns that are playable because the player doesn't have to aim as precisely.
  2. The BPM of the map should probably be the BPM of the actual song instead of a multiple of. That being said, if the notes are on time, it's not a huge deal.
  3. I don't think you need the second red timing point. Check to make sure; I've been wrong before.
  4. I assume, since you noted that the spacing is off, that you will fix the spacing. Therefore, I will not mention spacing in the rest of the mod.
  5. I won't talk about hitsounding, but the map could use some work in this area.
  6. Starting at 00:44:345 (2) - and 02:13:647 (4) - there are breaks. If you feel that breaks fit the song at these times, then you should definitely have them there. However, at this difficulty, you don't need breaks if you don't want them. If you do want breaks, think about starting the first break at 00:37:384 (1) - and the second at 02:04:578 (1) - since these are where the music seems to change.
  7. The first kiai is a standard chorus kiai, but the second highlights the pre-chorus and stops at the beginning of the chorus. For consistency, you may want the second chorus to have kiai, in which case you should think about removing the pre-chorus kiai. If you keep the pre-chorus kiai, flip kiai off and on at the beginning of the second chorus for effect.
  8. Storyboard: when the blue image fades in, it's a different size.
  9. 00:00:171 (1,2) - These look like they were meant to be blanketed, but they clearly aren't if you enable stacking in the editor. I'm of the opinion that mappers should always enable stacking.
  10. When designing sliders, try to keep the final anchor point relatively close to the actual slider end. Also, you can copy-paste these and use Ctrl-Shift-R to rotate them for consistent curvature
  • Rhythm
  1. 00:02:031 (1,1,1) - Nice
  2. 00:05:519 (3) - Looks and plays quite well, but seems a little out of place because the music doesn't have the kind of rhythm that would support it. One possibility is to make slider velocity (SV) really low for just this slider with green lines. Off the top of my head, look at the sliders in Sing's chrono diver -fragment- for examples of what other mappers do (one example at 0:40)
  3. 00:12:031 (1,2) - Looks good, but keep in mind that the sounds these are mapped to are different from those before. (You don't need to change this, just be aware of it)
  4. 00:27:147 (1,2) - Right between these, there's a vocal note that's not mapped. These are mapped to guitar sounds, parallel to 00:25:287 (1,2) - but the vocal means they'll probably need different rhythm patterns.
  5. 00:31:101 (4) - The slider head falls on a vocal, but the slider end falls on a vocal and a guitar sound, meaning the beat the slider ends on is stronger than the beat it begins on. You might be able to get away with this if you make it a reverse and remove hit circle 5. Turning the slider into two hit circles is another interesting choice because the other vocals in the phrase are mapped on slider heads and ends and this option would cause the vocals to be on circles.
  6. 00:34:589 (1,2) - Vocal note not mapped, very similar to the pattern at 0:27.
  7. 00:39:679 (2,3,4) - I mentioned these weren't snapped in PMs. Mentioning here again for record-keeping
  8. 00:41:089 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2) - Neat
  9. 00:49:462 (1) - Consider making this spinner end at 00:51:787 - because there's a drum hit there
  10. 00:52:252 (1,2,3,4) - This pattern feels a little off as stands. If you stack 2 and 3 atop 4, it may work.
  11. 00:57:601 (3) - I'm generally not a big fan of buzz sliders unless they're really well-supported by the music. That's an opinion though
  12. 00:58:066 (4,5,1) - See the note at 0:52
  13. 00:59:694 (1,2,3) - ^ except instead of stacking atop, you can stack beneath.
  14. 01:02:252 (2,3,4) - The only triplet in the chorus that isn't connected to a slider, so it stands out a bit. If that's not intended, you may convert 4 and 5 into a slider
  15. 01:03:648 (4) - Interesting. I like it
  16. 01:09:694 (1,2,3,4,5) - See the notes at 0:52 and 0:59
  17. 01:18:996 (4,5,6) - See the note at 0:52
  18. 01:24:113 (5,6) - Increase in rhythm density that isn't well supported by the song, then goes back to the previous style
  19. 01:31:555 (1,2) - ^
  20. 01:36:671 (3) - Consider turning into two circles to make the stream a full stream. The song also supports this option
  21. 01:42:252 (3) - If you are going to have buzz sliders, this one needs to be the same speed as the one at 0:57
  22. 01:43:008 (5) - I think this belongs on the white tick, but check to be sure
  23. 01:43:182 (1,2,3) - Unexpected spacing because the other triplets are all stacks or streams
  24. 01:49:694 (3) - See the note at 1:42
  25. 01:50:159 (4,5,6) - 6 makes for a rhythm that's already pretty weird, but 5 makes it harder because it lowers the amount of time the player has to figure out what the timing on 6 is
  26. 01:51:555 (1,2,3) - See the note at 0:52
  27. 02:19:694 (1) - Consider ending this spinner on the vocal at 02:21:089 -
  28. 02:26:903 (3) - As it's a buzz slider, consider making it the same speed as 0:57
  29. 02:29:927 (4,5,1) - Consider making 4 and 5 into a slider like 1
  30. 02:32:717 (4) - See the note at 2:26
  31. 02:35:275 (1,2,3,4,5) - Neat
  • Slider ends

    I'm a placement nazi but that's not helpful until much later in the map's life, so I won't mention anything that's just a nudge or small angle out of line.
  1. 00:11:101 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - Nice
  2. 00:19:008 (2) - Cool shape. I tend to associate cool shapes with unique sounds in the song, though, so it may seem a little out of place
  3. 00:22:264 (1,2,3) - Elsewhere in the map, triplets into sliders are stacked, but triplets that aren't connected to sliders are streamed
  4. 01:10:857 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2) - Nice
  5. 01:16:206 (3,4,5) - The last slider is shaped differently, which often indicates a change in the rhythm or music
  6. 01:22:020 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4) - Different slider shapes, interesting design choice
  7. 01:30:392 (5) - This is the only different slider shape in the segment
  8. 02:06:671 - Just a note, reminds me of 01:22:020 -

As a whole, I like the feel of the map quite a bit.

00:44:357 (2,1) - has alot of mapping potential here, so why not tap into it? :D

00:45:752 (1) - unusual placement of extra long slider, out of place and will probably catch a lot of people off guard.

00:49:473 (1) - work on the spinner placement timing too. tbh this entire section just feels shabbily mapped as compared to the starting of the map, which was well mapped. :|

00:57:612 (3) - unusual highly condensed reverse slider placement... highly reccommend to fix this :o maybe change it to this: 01:42:263 (3) -

01:00:054 (2,3) - does not follow the previous patterns, such as 00:58:310 (1,2,3) - or 01:02:031 (1,2,3) - .pls adjust accordingly ;)

01:05:286 (1) - feels somewhat off. :o

02:26:914 (3,4) - does not flow well with vocals and/or beat.

02:32:728 (4) - ^

02:36:217 (5) - maybe continue mapping a bit after this and throw a slider where it starts to fade off, that would be nice :)
