*00:53:377 - 00:53:452 - I can't find the reason to ignore them.
*00:59:227 (4) - Are you sure of the 3/2? Actually I really can't understand why you did it. I guess it will be better to put a circle at 00:59:227 - and 1/1 at 00:59:377 - .
*01:02:827 - What about making here clickable?

I'm guessing that the three circles are the final ones before the spinner.
And yes they are definitely more challenging through linear spacing and higher density but that's the ultimate climax for me so I represented it that way in a way that fit with the map.

So you have lots of 1/4 repeats, some of them have circles after them with 1/4 gaps some have 1/1 gaps etc.
You are following the guitars in the section but I think removing 00:19:477 (4) - 00:29:077 (4) - would show the resolution thing on drums a lot better and gets rid of the constant clicking as its a higher end of the bpms and introduces the gap thing you use on kiais.

[Hazu Hard]

You introduced a little bit of spacing emphasis though if you had some 1/4's similar to the previous hard it would fill the gap better at like 01:06:202 - and 01:15:052 - for example.

00:01:477 (1,1,1) - the sounds that these sliders on might be a sound that you would want mapped, since these sliders end on a tick that has a very noticable drum sound on them. in addition, you seem to map the drums pretty intensely afterwards with huge spacing so skipping a full drum beat by just ending a slider there feels really underwhelming. would personally decrease sliders to blue tick and map a note on the white afterwards
00:04:627 (3,4,5,6,7) - would be cooler i think to have this maybe curved a little, would create a different effect fthan the ones that 00:02:077 (2,3,4) - and 00:06:877 (2,3,4) - give and i mean, the drum sounds are different so if you're going to emphasise them why not go all out on expression?
00:11:077 (4,8) - this could be cleaned up a bit. if lowering the AR youll see what i mean like in this image! rotating 00:12:127 (8) - by ~ -25 degrees will give you this type of pattern which makes the pattern feel more connected in a sense, and yes it is noticable when playing. it makes the angles of the pattern more consistent and feel more natural. if you change, dont forget to switch 00:11:827 (7) - accordingly
00:18:127 (4) - i think this slider could benefit from ctrl+g. it would keep the circular motion of 00:17:227 (1,2,3) - going better that way. if you wanted a flow change, 00:17:827 (3) - would make more sense to have a flow change on, cause first you had them on only notes like 00:17:227 (1,3) -
00:23:527 (2) - can this slider be moved to the right a bit more? this is the only time you have a slider start this close after a 1/1 slider and with the forced directional change, this becomes really awkward since the spacing choice here makes it very sudden
00:32:827 (1,2) - i get that you're emphasising vocals here, but i think a note inbetween the sliders (so you get something like this) would be better here since eventhough the vocals calm down, the drums intensify. if you wanted to let the sections feel like a break along with them, simply stacking the notes under the slidertails should be a good fitting fix. same goes for future situations
00:41:377 (2,5) - really nazi, but pixel overlap :(
00:48:127 (5,6,7,8,1) - it felt really wrong when playing to have the low spacing here. in the intro of the map you introduce the 5taps as something majorly spaced, which is then continued on visually on the triples but here you didnt space it out at all? all in all makes for a very inconsistent pattern and a random feeling when playing. space this out too if the rest already is!
00:58:777 (4,5) - since vocals are the main focus, shouldn't this be a slider in that case? there isn't a vocal doing anything much at 00:58:927 (5) - so i dont get why you let me snap so hard to the note. same goes for 01:01:777 (2,3) -
01:06:877 (4) - don't know if you wanna space out this note really, there is no drum emphasis on this note! (it could work greatly if stacked with 01:06:727 (3) - and then just angle 01:07:027 (5) - a little differently
01:09:427 (5) - something should be mapped on the tail of this. you seemed to have mapped the final sound of the vocals consistently before so suddenly not doing it here seems rather strange. same for 01:11:827 (5) - 01:14:227 (5) -
01:19:402 (1,1,1) - i don't believe the NCs are required here. they simply overpressure the section and dont help readability at all. in fact, when playing i thought these were 1/3 cause of the weird way the NCs were done. it'd be better to keep the reading consistent to prevent possible chokes here
01:27:727 (4) - as a fun finisher, why not make this a big 5tap too! is only more fun if you do so!

General

  1. Could you make all your backgrounds the same resolution, or at least in a 4:3 ratio? waji irl.jpg and wallpaper.jpg aren't on a 4:3 ratio so they cut off screen a bit, making them off-centered.
  2. Change Marvollo's easy to Marvollo's Beginner? Comparing the spread, the difference of note density between Gero's Easy and Normal is about the same as the difference between Gero and marvollo's diffs and how the increase in sv across the 3 diffs is exactly .2 higher than the previous, so to keep the spread linear I suggest the beginner tag > easy.
  3. I think another diff should be mapped to fill the considerably large gap between Loki's Insane and Hazu's Hard. (Probably Hyper or Light Insane) For guest diffs the rules can be bent, but considering how the spread was linear, never roughly above .6* but here it goes up by more than a full star I think is too lenient.

Deppy's Breaker Extra

  1. 00:02:827 (1,2) - I think the rhythm here should be consistent with the first bar. I understand this part of this song could be viewed as a different bar ( A bar is every 4 white ticks in this case, for maps with 5/4 timing 5 white ticks makes a bar, etc.) and thus it's patterns don't need to build off of the first bar, but this bar is a repeat of the first one, so the important sounds here that create the rhythm should stay the same. I think the variation at 00:04:177 (4,5,6) - however is interesting as it catches the subtle sounds and builds up for the finisher at 00:04:627 (1,2,3,4,5) - basic music theory. To create variation in rhythm while staying consistent is complicated to explain as a lot of factors apply, but for now I'd keep your changes in rhythm subtle. As in, mapping 00:02:977 (2) - where in the first bar at 00:00:577 - is empty, isn't subtle. Subtle changes would be variations in rhythm that don't affect gameplay. If I could give you an example using your patterns: https://puu.sh/yv6jf/c31e359fa2.jpg What I did here is remove 1 and 2, and moved the reverse slider to the previous white tick. Doing this you have captured the important sound at 00:02:827 - that was also mapped in the first bar. So what about the reverse and the slider tail? Since those parts of the slider remain unclickable, they don't mess with the rhythm the player is following. This is why modders tell you to 'follow the important sounds' because these notes tend to repeat, and repetition creates rhythm. 00:04:177 (2,3,4) - While the triple starts on a red tick which wasn't mapped in the first bar, it puts emphasis on 4, which if we look back at 00:01:927 - was mapped as well. In conclusion, you still want to map the important sounds, but when you add variation, do it in a subtle way that doesn't hurt playability. I suggest going through your diff and trying to find other instances of inconsistent rhythm, and finding some mods to speed up the process. I really apologize for the long post, it's a lot to take in, so if you're confused please let me know through irc, I love discussing concepts and theories with mappers, so don't be afraid to ask.
  2. 00:06:727 (1,2) - These notes might be misread as 1/4 notes considering how they share the same spacing and nc pattern as 00:05:077 (1,2) - I suggest ctrl+g on 00:06:877 (2,3) - so as players aren't given the opportunity to screw up.
  3. 00:11:227 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - 00:13:627 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - 00:16:027 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - All these patterns play differently despite being used to represent a repeated section. Variations in patterns aren't as complicated as variations in rhythm, but it's still a lot to take in. Playability doesn't always mean flowwy patterns and circular flow, it means you distinguish how patterns play and use that knowledge to apply ideas to repeated sections of a song. So lets analyze the first pattern 00:11:227 (1,2,3,4) - (since this is the first pattern the player will see) Sharp turn from 2-3 and 3-4 00:11:827 (1,2,3,4) - right angle from 2-3 and 3-4. For a pattern that represents a repeated part of the song, it has it's own characteristics shown by how it plays, and you want your patterns to share those characteristics to compliment the rhythm. Without a consistent idea in your patterns, the player won't be listening to the song anymore. They have to ignore patterns and hints in order to not be thrown off, and that doesn't create an interesting experience. I suggest going through the diff and applying this knowledge where it seems empty, as I think you could make this diff more interesting this way. Again, if you're still confused let me know, I'm always open for discussion.
  4. 00:28:627 (1,2,3,4,5) - I don't think 1/4 jumps fit here. While they do share the same distance as your spaced streams, there was no previous occurrence of 1/4 jumps, so this pattern might be misread as a stream, since that is the only concept the player is prepared for. I suggest shrinking these 5 notes into a more compact shape with ctrl+s so as they all overlap. Basically doing this the player needs to only aim where all the notes overlap, so they don't the movement required to play 1/4 jumps.
  5. 01:19:401 (1,1,1) - I understand this as an 'epic finisher' but I think this doesn't fit as there's no previous occurrence of 1/4 jumps besides the flower pattern at the end of the first kiai. I think replicating the flower pattern you did back at 00:28:627 (1,2,3,4,5) - would be interesting, as you close off the map with a reminder of the beginning. Makes the map more memorable in my opinion.
  6. 01:19:026 (2) - unsnapped note pls fix
  7. 01:28:027 - There's an audible sound here that I suggest mapping as it's the final beat before the remaining sounds quiet down into a conclusion.

Extra

  1. 00:02:827 (1,2) - I don't think 2 circles here fit considering how you mapped a 1/1 slider at the other sections. 00:00:427 (1) - 00:05:227 (1) - these parts are no different, so I think it'd be more interesting to map them all with the same rhythm.
  2. 00:22:627 (4,5,6) - The circular flow switches unexpectedly, as you kept the flow clockwise at 00:13:477 (1) - now that I realize, there's very little variation in the flow. For the most part it's clockwise until it unexpectedly switches here before beat.
  3. 00:19:627 - Building off of my previous point, to add some variation in flow, could you flip from this point to 00:29:152 - horizontally? I think it makes the map more interesting by switching the flow where the bar repeats and makes the map more engaging by making the player go in a different direction.
  4. 00:29:227 - to 00:48:427 - Some of the places where you switch your circular motion seem out of place. What I mean is mappers tend to have a pattern to where they switch directions so as to compliment rhythm and make the map more fun to play. Without consistency in where you switch circular flow, the player wouldn't be able to anticipate the movement of the notes.   2. 00:19:627 (1,2) - Same here. The visual distance is identical to 00:20:227 (3,4) - yet it's a 1/4 gap.
  3. 00:31:627 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,1,2,1) - This whole pattern here is too cool. pls fix
  4. 00:35:527 (2) - I think the flow here is inconsistent, as the direction here is clockwise compared to 00:30:427 (1) - where the flow was counter clockwise.

Hazu's Hard

  1. Could you use different note colors? These don't fit the bg, which in my opinion is only an issue when the purpose of the colors were to compliment the bg of Kibb and Loki's diffs.
