00:15:483 (1,3) - also beats like these have different sounds to 00:15:147 (4,5,2) - could try differentiate the two a bit more by using sliders to make important stuff clickable I changed 1 to a 1/4 slider for the wave sound

This set was used as the basis of the osu mentorship's practice modding, where we got together and modded a map. We gave constructive criticism on how we modded. Sergio forgot to post the mod here, so some of the stuff is outdated. Note that the mod is super unbalanced on what diffs we did, sorry link :/

00:12:969 (1) - Your storyboard flashes are too fast, they're just annoying. Lower the maximum brightness of them. The stuff at 01:13:304 (1) - is fine
There are no hitsounds for the first 12 seconds on some diffs. I'd suggest adding some samples that are slightly muted, they'd match the song and would give feedback.
Your storyboard could be more interesting, some basic things like particle effects could be used to enhance it a lot.

I won't mod link or avena's diff, I've already said what I wanted above.

00:10:287 (2) - Try adding some whistles in basically all this slider (except the sliderbody) to follow vocals. I can understand if you don't want to add hitsounds in 00:01:572 (1) - because everything sounds really quite, but I think they are necessary here, they sounds really good.
00:29:728 (2) - I personally think you can move this slider some grids down, doing that it won't touch the HP Bar. I know this is a bit nitpicky but it'll help you in term of aesthetically. Try moving this slider some grids down by using Grid Size: 4 (tiny).
01:02:577 (1) - Similar as 00:10:287 (2) - . In this case, it'll help you to follow the new sound in the instrumental, if you know what I mean.
01:20:008 (3) - This is a bit nitpicky as well, but this slider head is touching a bit the HP Bar with the default skin. You can fix it easily by moving this object some grids down, I recommend you to select all these notes 01:20:008 (3,4,1,2,3) - - so you don't have fix anything in this nice pattern and adapt 01:23:695 (4) - to the spacing afterwards, it is really easy to fix that, so you should give it a try. Same as before about using Grid Size: 4 (tiny).
01:44:980 (4,1) - This is the only pattern in 1/2 in the whole map, there is no need to make this map more difficult, in addition this pattern becomes inconsistent due this reason. If you replace the slider (4) for a single note in 01:44:980 - you'll make this pattern more consistent with the rest of the map.

[Normal]

00:11:628 (1,1) - The recovery time after the spinner is not high enough for this difficulty because the BPM is not that slow. There aren't that much ways to fix that, I don't know if you want to use a slider instead of this spinner, anyway I tried something different that I'd like to show you. If you try to move the objects closer to the middle of the screen, I think the recovery time will be enough because the cursor movement won't be really abrupt. Take this as an example
01:21:851 (x) - I think you can add a note here to follow vocals closer, it won't be difficult after all and breaks a bit the 1/1 pattern that it doesn't sound really good.
01:23:360 (3,4) - I think 4 notes don't work really good here, you can take advantage of vocals here and try to use a slider instead of these.
01:32:075 (1) - This note as a single combo is not following really good your combo'ing. I'd try to remove it and just emphasize the next one with a new combo, where the music becomes stronger.
01:42:131 (1,2,3,4,5,1) - vs. 01:46:823 (1,2,1,2,3,4) - Try to make the combo'ing between these patterns consistent please, the music is basically the same but you used a different way to add them. I'd try something 01:42:131 (1,1,2,3,4,5) - vs. 01:46:823 (3,1,1,2,3,4) - , I personally think you can have a single combo when the music sounds like 01:42:131 (1) - & 01:47:494 (1) - . Give it a try please.
01:44:645 (1,1,1) - This combo spam is not really necessary in that kind of difficulties, I see your idea but still these notes are following the same thing in the music. I'd use a simple (1,2,3) here.
01:52:857 (3) - Add a New Combo to emphasize the end of the map?

- I didn't find major problems in this difficulty but the comboing becomes weird at the end of the map. Would be better to fix that.

00:33:751 (4,1,2) - 00:44:477 (4,1,2) - I know, these overlaps are intentional but are they really necessary? I think you're trying something different in your map but sincerely it doesn't look really neat. You can maybe find other way to don't have these overlaps, I'm sure you can do that much better.
00:40:287 (2,3) - 01:47:326 (5,6) - Minor stuff, stack them properly. You used quite a lot stacks in this difficulty and all of them are well stacked except for these.
01:19:840 (x) - I really missed a beat here, it sounds really empty without it. Would be better to add an object (or at least a slider end) here, you can leave without objects 01:20:510 - , in my personal point of view this is less important.
01:36:600 (5,6,7) - This pattern sounds a bit weird, I think you can represent much better the music here. I tried this rhythmical patterns, I think it'll cover better vocals and instrumentals.
01:55:036 (T) - Can you reduce the volume in this inherited timing point? Actually, it sounds loud to the end of the song, try using around 20% instead and you'll find a better effect.

- Not bad. Maybe not the best difficulty in terms of aesthetic but it flows well in general. Good job!

[GIDZ'S Hard]

01:19:002 (2) - 01:29:728 (2) - 01:32:410 (2) - I'd add New Combos in all these objects, to emphasize the music pitch and those flash kiai that you decided to use.
01:44:645 (3,4,5) - Try reducing a bit the volume in those slider ends mainly, they don't fit really well to the song. In addition, I didn't like to see this pattern stacked, it doesn't flow really well comparing with the whole difficulty, I think you can unstack them as well.

- Good rhythm + Constant spacing = There isn't much more things to mod here

[Starfy's Hyper]

00:31:739 (1,2) - 00:42:466 (1,2) - I prefer to see them unstacked, or at least a bit more separated so players can notice this 1/8 slider. When you play the map, the repetition is not really simple to notice it and it looks like a simple note. Try to make those repetitions more noticeable, so players can expect this pattern much better.
01:20:343 (3,4,1) - 01:21:013 (3,4,1) - 01:31:069 (3,4,1) - 01:31:739 (3,4,1) - Can you rearrange a bit the combo'ing here and transform those antijumps into (1,2,3) - (1,2,1) - (1,2,3) - (1,2,1) respectively? You generally used compressed streams in this kiai section but the usage of those antijumps are understandable here as well, but if you don't make something to make these pattern easier to read, player will probably think this is a simple 1/4. Yeah, you can probably say "players who play this difficulty are not noob to read that" but sometimes they need something like that for a better playability. I'm telling you that because I had a experience in one of my maps in the past, with a similar pattern and some pro players told me to represent better that kind of things and I personally think that makes sense.
01:54:198 (1) - What do you think about ending this slider 1/4 or 1/2 earlier? If you listen the music in 25% playback rate, I think the music stop there.

[Insane]

00:01:572 (1,2,3) - I don't really agree with the rhythm usage here, I prefer to see the idea of Starfy and Avena instead, 3/4 sliders doesn't have anything to do/represent here and the last 1/1 sounds quite off. Just in case, I'd like to see that instead.
00:11:628 (1) - Use a spinner instead of a slider? You did that in Normal and I have to say a Spinner is more difficult than a simple slider. In addition, you can take advantage of this looking that you don't have any spinner here.
00:17:829 (2,3) - I'd like to see a higher spacing between these objects because appear a new sound in the music, if you listen to it properly, you'll notice it. You can maybe do something like that, take this as an easy example, you can maybe have a better idea than me xD.
00:23:024 (1,1) - The spacing between them can be a bit higher too. Try moving 00:23:192 (1) - around x:384 y:336, you'll emphasize the new sound in the instrumental.
00:24:700 (1) - This 3/4 doesn't sound that bad but in this difficulty you can innovate a bit more in my opinion. I think there is enough sound in 00:24:868 - and especially in 00:24:952 where I think that passive mapping doesn't cover the song enough in this difficulty in particular. If I were you, I'd reduce this slider in 1/4 and add a single note in 00:24:952 - to provide the music a better rhythm, you should give it a try. If you do agree with me, do that in 00:47:494 (1) - too.
00:31:739 (6) - Increase this slider length in 1/4? Long vocal section that can be good represented with that technique. You can reduce the volume at this slider end for a better sound effect.
00:38:443 (1,2) - A bit minor, but for a weird reason this is the only manual stack in the whole difficulty. Would be better to stack them properly for consistency.
00:41:963 (4,5) - In this case, the downbeat at 00:42:466 - isn't well emphasized due the passive mapping, I think a slider start should be placed there. Following my suggestion at 00:31:739 (6) - as well, you can use this rhythm instead.
01:20:678 (6) - A constant 1/2 doesn't benefit the song at all in the kiai, you have a lot of things to follow instead of the simple instrumental that always goes in 1/2. I think you can follow vocals here, by doing a pattern like this
01:43:639 (2,3) - You can use a jump here as I mentioned in 00:17:829 (2,3) - . Take this as an example.

- Some things can be emphasized better, despite that, this is a good difficulty.

[Avena's Extreme]

00:31:739 (1) - vs. 00:42:467 (1) - This sections are basically the same rhythmically but you're leaving a rest time in 00:31:907 - that isn't really necessary. Use a 1/2 slider as you did in 00:42:467 (1) - .
01:01:153 (x) - It's an extra, you can fill this blank with a note in my opinion. The sound is higher enough to have an object.
01:11:963 (T) - Reduce the volume in this green line, the slider is following that background sound but actually it sounds pretty loud. Try using 15% instead.
01:15:902 (x) - 01:26:628 (x) - If you can do some tweaks in these patterns to have notes in these points would be excellent because there is a good sound to follow there, but well, if you can't find a good solution I'm not going to bother you that much.
01:21:348 (1) - Can be extended in 1/4 to cover better both instrumental/vocals.
01:46:153 (1,1) - The reverse arrow isn't complete hidden by the note, but in some way it can cause confuse due the fast slider. I think (1) can be moved some grids to don't have any problem in the future.
01:54:030 (1) - I'm a bit sad because this slider doesn't end in 01:55:036 - where the music stops completely. Can you do that for me? :3

- "Priti" nice difficulty in general xD. Still, it can receive some more mods because I only see one in all this thread.

Give it a try please. I think I fixed the problem
01:44:645 (1,1,1) - This combo spam is not really necessary in that kind of difficulties, I see your idea but still these notes are following the same thing in the music. I'd use a simple (1,2,3) here. ok

00:11:628 (1) - Use a spinner instead of a slider? You did that in Normal and I have to say a Spinner is more difficult than a simple slider. In addition, you can take advantage of this looking that you don't have any spinner here. having this to be a slider just feels nicer , I feel like if it was a spinner it would be too short to bring out any emphasis to the song
00:17:829 (2,3) - I'd like to see a higher spacing between these objects because appear a new sound in the music, if you listen to it properly, you'll notice it. You can maybe do something like that, take this as an easy example, you can maybe have a better idea than me xD.00:16:991 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - here I was trying to emphasize the sound behind the drums , it would be weird if I were to space these out imo because the noise in the background is fading away , that takes away a reason for a sudden jump/DS increase in the map even though there is a drum sound there

If I were you, I'd reduce this slider in 1/4 and add a single note in 00:24:952 - to provide the music a better rhythm, you should give it a try. If you do agree with me, do that in 00:47:494 (1) - too.one of the reasons that I increased the SV on this slider is because I wanted to bring out 00:25:036 (1) - 's hard downbeat , but currently with your method replacing it with a 1/4 slider and circles won't bring the same effect that I wanted it to
00:31:739 (6) - Increase this slider length in 1/4? Long vocal section that can be good represented with that technique. You can reduce the volume at this slider end for a better sound effect.good idea

01:11:963 (T) - Reduce the volume in this green line, the slider is following that background sound but actually it sounds pretty loud. Try using 15% instead.ok

01:02:577 (1) - i think it s not good to suddenly increase three times SV in quiet part , although have special sound here and you want to show it . i still think it s easy slider break when player play it first time . nerf some SV maybe better :3
00:23:527 (2) - seems overlap so much to hard to read this slider very well . also it s 2.00x SV so maybe easy get 100 . how about adjusting the angle and stack 00:23:527 (2) - on 00:23:192 (3) - 's slider end ?
01:17:662 (1,2,3) - the drum is not strong enough to support this huge ds imo . this part of the durm 01:23:360 (1,2,3,4,5) - is stronger than 01:17:662 (1,2,3) - , but its ds not bigger than 01:17:662 (1,2,3) - . i think it should nerf some ds .
01:17:662 (1,2) - can make same overlap pattern like 01:17:326 (1,2) -

(01:51:348 (1,2,1,2) - as well) 01:50:175 (1) - 01:52:857 (1) - this two slider should be extented.
I am not that familiar with SV-change mapping, but I think you can draw more beautiful slider if the slider is such long, and it can give the feel like "you are well-organizing those slider", rather than just using straight sliders. But.... aesthetics is quite objective.

01:54:198 (1) - What do you think about ending this slider 1/4 or 1/2 earlier? If you listen the music in 25% playback rate, I think the music stop there. Placing spinner would be appropriate since the sound is not really noticeable to be emphasised separately.
