I see that your map is mainly based on the background beat but not the melody. Although I personally don't prefer this, I don't have reason to ask you to change as well. But be aware that this may decreace the variety of beatmap streams, and affect its interest as well.

General

Flow wise, the map's low slider velocity make sliders seems really slow and probably makes hypers harder to trigger. I'd advise using SV 2.00 at least so the flow will fix itself. This will require readjusting your patterns though.

Rhythmically, you missed a lot of beats and sounds that would have made more sense:

00:01:097 (3) - Why didn't you follow the ½ sounds in the middle of this slider?

00:06:773 – Missed vocal line you could have mapped.

00:07:854 - ^ Same here

00:21:097 to 00:23:259 – There's ½ rhythms all through here until 00:23:259 – because then a 1/8th streams is in the background.

00:25:692 – There's a ¼ rhythm here.

00:34:340 – Rhythm missed here.

На этом всё. Дальше мне всё устраивает. В целом, неплохая карта, она, разумеется может попасть в ранк, если не одно но, кривой спейсинг и комбо отталкивает от этого процесса. Если честно, то я рад твоим процессом в маппинге. А отказывался моддить afraid... лишь потому, что на ранк вы, gaaraati и OneLoveOneLife не прорвётесь в ранк из-за этим причин, что я сказал на этом моде. Ладно, не буду дальше писать. Надеюсь ты понял меня. Мапай больше для отличных результатов, а играть больше даст какие-то новые паттерны для тебя и ты их можешь реализовать в процессе стиля маппинга. Желаю удачи!

На этом всё. Дальше мне всё устраивает. В целом, неплохая карта, она, разумеется может попасть в ранк, если не одно но, кривой спейсинг и комбо отталкивает от этого процесса. Если честно, то я рад твоим процессом в маппинге. А отказывался моддить afraid... лишь потому, что на ранк вы, gaaraati и OneLoveOneLife не прорвётесь в ранк из-за этим причин, что я сказал на этом моде. Ладно, не буду дальше писать. Надеюсь ты понял меня. Мапай больше для отличных результатов, а играть больше даст какие-то новые паттерны для тебя и ты их можешь реализовать в процессе стиля маппинга. Желаю удачи!

Mod requested via ingame pm a few days ago. I don't really understand your mapping concept (dash/hyperdash usage), so i will try to point out with some examples the inconsistencies of your map (you can go through your map then and search for similar stuff). I think it would be also helpful to have a ingame chat about the map so feel free to catch me ingame.

General
  1. Your beatmap file is pretty big (>10MB, which means more than the guideline suggests) and you've got 2 unused background images in the beatmap file.
    If you don't wanna delete the 2 unused background images entirely I would suggest you two put an additional download link in the map description instead of putting them in the beatmap file. Then you've got no unused files in your beatmap file and the size of the beatmap file will be decreased.
  2. Your soft-hitnormal.wav hitsound has a delay of over 5ms whih is unrankable (unless there is a special purpose for it). You need to change the hitsound. Unfortunately I don't know much about hitsounding so I won't provide you here with a good replacement. Maybe you can take a look into (recently) ranked mapsets to find a good alternative for you.
  3. Combo colours: As it is right now, Combo colours 1-2-3 and 4-5 are so similar to each other that they are hard to separate from each other. i suggest you make it pink-green-pink-green to avoid that problem (and please use an even number of colours, that means four or six)

  1. A lot of your inherited (green) timing points are unsnapped. I don't think it causes an issue here since they are quite minor (and early, rather than late), but something to be aware of for future maps to avoid unintended hitsounding conflicts
  2. soft-sliderslide.wav can be deleted to save file space as sliderslide hitsounds have no function in osu!catch
  3. Hitsounding is extremely basic and does not emphasise the subtle changes in the song well. Even in the first section you can hear clap sounds on 00:05:962 - 00:08:124 -00:10:286 - 00:12:448 - etc. which were ignored. Notes like 00:22:178 - 00:24:340 - 00:32:989 - etc. don't have any kind of finish hitsound to emphasise the cymbal, and even the main melody has no drum, cymbal, vocal or any kind of emphasis besides the hitnormal, which is really bland and uninteresting. Please add some hitsounds, at the very least starting with whistles on the first and third beats and claps on the second and fourth - if you'd like more guidance, there's a helpful guide here - t/306177
  4. Your slidershapes are very repetitive, almost all being either near-vertical or U-shaped, which gets very repetitive and makes different sections look and play very similarly. This gets really boring after 5 minutes, so for added variety, try using some C- or L-shaped sliders as well which will make the map much more interesting to play.
  5. Having played the map I will treat the [Sakura Blossom] difficulty as being at a [Rain] level.

Why no emphasis on 00:07:043 (2) - (which should have the NC instead of 00:06:773 (1) - btw) - 00:09:205 (1) - either? Notes like 00:08:935 (5) - have a dash despite being noticeably weaker than those mentioned before, so this feels very strange to play
  3. 00:10:827 (5,6) - Vocal here isn't strong enough to support a hyper when stronger sounds prior to this didn't even have a dash
  4. 00:23:800 (1) - Really could do with splitting this into 1/2 slider and circle, the downbeat sound is so strong (could easily support a hyper) and you gave it no emphasis at all ):
  5. 00:25:962 (1,2) - I don't understand your NC usage in this section at all... What are you trying to emphasise? They just seem randomly and inconsistently placed to me. One NC each downbeat (long white tick) would fit much better

  10. 00:49:205 (5,1) - Unexpected hyper given the low strength of the sound here and the fact you didn't use any prior to this in the calm vocal section
  11. 00:59:475 (3) - Same as 00:23:800 (1) - this tail sound deserves some dash emphasis for the strong vocal

I won't go any further because the last kiai sections are more of the same and now that you (hopefully) know what to do you can improve them yourself. This is not a bad map - I like how you used U-shaped sliders to give more movement on the low-BPM, and the 1/4 section after the first kiai is cool. Unfortunately, the rest of the map is rather uninteresting to play and the lack of hitsounds, inconsistent jump and NC placement sadly reduce the quality of the final product.

It's great to see more people working on easier marathons and the map has potential if you're willing to put in some work to try and realise it. I hope my suggestions helped you and you don't give up! (:

General
Some of your hitsounds are inconsistent and could have chosen better ones often. Eg. using default finishes in the opening is really overdoing the song. I'd suggest using a hitsound copier to copy from the std set. It's better to have a version from someone who's more experienced with hitsounds as the base, it will improve the player's first impressions of a set just by how it's hitsounded.

A lot of your sliders have weird droplet spacing due to how you place sliders in the editor. Compare these images, the left slider has droplets that are in a straight line that is easier to read, play, and looks cleaner. The right one is harder to play and is difficult to follow. You really need to replace most/all of your sliders which are curved like that to straight ones. Have a reference by looking at some of the ranked maps in the editor, none of them ever use the slider shape you use.
+ In addition to that, a lot of sliders feel like they should have more movement. The catcher moves too fast to reasonably catch the slider head + tail. Try using more straight + horizontal sliders, more movement will improve flow a lot.
00:20:016 (1) - One of the sliders that could really use more movement. Because there's a bit of antiflow, the player has to move back, but can't because the slider middle is too close, which creates awkward movement. Make this straight and horizontal as an example

It is often unclear what part of the music you are trying to follow. Take for example the simple part at the start.
You aren't following vocal much because there are often 1/4 patterns that are ignored. Eg. 00:03:529 (2) - 00:05:692 (2) - 00:07:854 (2) -
However, you aren't following the piano either. There are many 1/1 sliders that follow vocal and ignore piano, or it's just unmapped entirely eg. 00:12:178 (2) - 00:14:881 (6) - . Ignoring the piano in some sections would be fine in order to follow vocal, but vocal is not always followed! Try to make it clear that you are following one instrument in the song. I'd suggest mapping vocal, as there is more variety and unique rhythms to follow compared to other instruments.

  2. 00:04:881 (1) - This goes offscreen, which results in the droplets being forced in a vertical straight line. Move it over so it's curved and doesn't touch the wall
  3. 00:10:827 (5,1) - Not exactly the best place for a hyperdash. There are stronger sounds that only have a dash. That said, the opening really shouldn't have any hyper dashes to have better contrast with harder sections. Remove all hypers until 00:23:800 (5) -
  4. 00:13:800 (2,3,4) - The stack used here feels pretty random. Try stacking 3 on 2, and 4 on 1 like this example, it's a commonly used pattern that gives better structure.
  5. 00:15:151 (7) - When using a 3/4 slider, the sound on the slider's head should be a held sound, and there shouldn't be any clear sound to follow on the 1/2 beat after. However, there is no sound on the slider head + there is a strong vocal on the 1/2 beat.
    + Never use slider ticks to actively map anything, very few exceptions but should really avoid.
  6. 00:17:313 (3,4) - This pattern is identical to 00:17:854 (1,2) - which is has a much higher pitch. Change the pattern on the second pair to have a better contrast between the two.
  7. 00:22:719 (2,3,4) - The spacing used on these three objects is quite awkward to play. While 2,3 is a dash, 3,4 should have at least a bit more spacing. The gap between 2,3 is 1/2, but 3,4 is a 3/4 gap and is spaced much smaller. Use at least a bit more space to make these smoother to play
  8. 00:23:800 (5) - + The way this slider is angled makes droplets unreasonably difficult. The player has to dash to the slider head, stop, dash to the slider end, and then hyper to 1. Make this straight so that the process is simplified to just dash to 5 + follow flow.
  9. 00:25:151 (4,5) - How triples are mapped is quite inconsistent. The way this is mapped, it emphasises blue tick. However 00:27:314 (3,4) - emphasises the downbeat. 00:35:962 (4,5) - Is identical to the previous and is also mapped differently to that. Change your patterns around so that you emphasis the same sound each time. Imo this doesn't really need a dash, that way there is more contrast with 00:26:367 (9,1) - + there are a lot more pattern variations with 3 notes no dash.   10. 00:31:908 (5) - In this section, there's too many circles being used. Sliders are better at managin flow than circles, as droplets guide the player from A to B. With circles, the player needs to constantly read where the next circle is. Add some sliders to make it easier to follow
  11. 00:37:584 (2,3) - This dash can probably be bigger to emphasise the sound, as it doesn't really feel like a dash currently.
  12. 00:39:205 (6) - Don't put strong sounds on slider ends, it reduces the emphasis on them. I'd suggest to move this slider back by 1/2, remove the repeat on the previous, and add a circle at 00:39:475 (7) - .
  13. 00:40:286 (8,1) - This hyperdash is too sudden, as there was very few in the previous section. Reduce distance
  14. 00:40:827 (2,3,4) - Decrease the distance between these. In old maps, spec often used a pattern like this, but lower spacing on the 1/4s.
  15. 00:42:043 (3,4,5) - The spacing change between these is too much, similar to 00:22:719 (2,3,4) - . Decrease spacing at 3,4 and increase 4,5 to improve flow
    + 00:42:448 (5) - should be a straight/horizontal slider, easy to miss the tail. (heck 90% of sliders should be like that but it would be very repetitive to say)
  16. 00:42:989 (6,1) - Spacing is unexpectedly large, easy to miss and is too far when paired with 00:43:665 (2,3) - , reduce.

Some of your hitsounds are inconsistent and could have chosen better ones often. Eg. using default finishes in the opening is really overdoing the song. I'd suggest using a hitsound copier to copy from the std set. It's better to have a version from someone who's more experienced with hitsounds as the base, it will improve the player's first impressions of a set just by how it's hitsounded.

A lot of your sliders have weird droplet spacing due to how you place sliders in the editor. Compare these images, the left slider has droplets that are in a straight line that is easier to read, play, and looks cleaner. The right one is harder to play and is difficult to follow. You really need to replace most/all of your sliders which are curved like that to straight ones. Have a reference by looking at some of the ranked maps in the editor, none of them ever use the slider shape you use.
+ In addition to that, a lot of sliders feel like they should have more movement. The catcher moves too fast to reasonably catch the slider head + tail. Try using more straight + horizontal sliders, more movement will improve flow a lot.
00:20:016 (1) - One of the sliders that could really use more movement. Because there's a bit of antiflow, the player has to move back, but can't because the slider middle is too close, which creates awkward movement. Make this straight and horizontal as an example

It is often unclear what part of the music you are trying to follow. Take for example the simple part at the start.
You aren't following vocal much because there are often 1/4 patterns that are ignored. Eg. 00:03:529 (2) - 00:05:692 (2) - 00:07:854 (2) -
However, you aren't following the piano either. There are many 1/1 sliders that follow vocal and ignore piano, or it's just unmapped entirely eg. 00:12:178 (2) - 00:14:881 (6) - . Ignoring the piano in some sections would be fine in order to follow vocal, but vocal is not always followed! Try to make it clear that you are following one instrument in the song. I'd suggest mapping vocal, as there is more variety and unique rhythms to follow compared to other instruments.

  4. 00:13:800 (2,3,4) - The stack used here feels pretty random. Try stacking 3 on 2, and 4 on 1 like this example, it's a commonly used pattern that gives better structure.
  5. 00:15:151 (7) - When using a 3/4 slider, the sound on the slider's head should be a held sound, and there shouldn't be any clear sound to follow on the 1/2 beat after. However, there is no sound on the slider head + there is a strong vocal on the 1/2 beat.
    + Never use slider ticks to actively map anything, very few exceptions but should really avoid.
  6. 00:17:313 (3,4) - This pattern is identical to 00:17:854 (1,2) - which is has a much higher pitch. Change the pattern on the second pair to have a better contrast between the two.
  7. 00:22:719 (2,3,4) - The spacing used on these three objects is quite awkward to play. While 2,3 is a dash, 3,4 should have at least a bit more spacing. The gap between 2,3 is 1/2, but 3,4 is a 3/4 gap and is spaced much smaller. Use at least a bit more space to make these smoother to play
  8. 00:23:800 (5) - + The way this slider is angled makes droplets unreasonably difficult. The player has to dash to the slider head, stop, dash to the slider end, and then hyper to 1. Make this straight so that the process is simplified to just dash to 5 + follow flow.
  9. 00:25:151 (4,5) - How triples are mapped is quite inconsistent. The way this is mapped, it emphasises blue tick. However 00:27:314 (3,4) - emphasises the downbeat. 00:35:962 (4,5) - Is identical to the previous and is also mapped differently to that. Change your patterns around so that you emphasis the same sound each time. Imo this doesn't really need a dash, that way there is more contrast with 00:26:367 (9,1) - + there are a lot more pattern variations with 3 notes no dash.
