My first Osu! Beatmap done to a remix of Love is War.

Concerns/Need Help:
-Beatmaps are in their final state. However, I would love help with any inconsistencies such as difficulty spikes or boring parts.

-It was difficult making the easier difficulties because I wasn't sure if they were too easy or too hard. Opinions on this would be helpful.

-Any help with Story-boarding such as Pictures, custom circles/skins, custom sounds, etc would be Fantastic

-Anything else really. I've got kudos :D

Generally

There are a lot of overlapping problems. Try to fix them all.
Try to make every slider more nicely (symmetrical.
Try to make less combos. I mention the combos till 15+
This map needs a lot of improvement, but go for it..

I'm modding this song because of the request :) im just gonna mainly point out the new combos for this.

General:
Set the grid size to medium, and i notice a lot of spacing errors. fix it if u hav the chance. the slider velocity is set to 1.40. depending on the diff u hav to change the slider velocity.

Silver's Easy:

The slider velocity is too fast. i suggest to reduce it to 1.0.
00:16:333(4) - New combo
00:26:999(4) - New combo.
00:32:333(4) - New combo and stack it perfectly.
00:37:666(5) - New combo.
00:38:999(3) - New combo.
01:12:333(1) - Aline the 4th point to the 3rd and 2nd point.
01:44:333(3) - 1 grid down for the end point.

Silver's Normal:
try setting the slider velocity to 1.10

i'll stop there and u could do the rest. just remember that don't make the combo continue until ur at 10 depending which part ur at. follow vortex's tips and this map will be awesome GL :D

Oh god, I can already tell this is bad. Please keep distance snap consistent at 1.0, especially on an Easy diff.

Yeah, maybe I shouldn't mod this...
But yeah, please re-map this with consistent distancing.

Shouldn't be too hard, as it's just distancing lol.

It seems that the problem remains.

This is the biggest thing that new mappers miss lol.
But yeah, just keep it at 1.0 and use a higher grid size so it's nice.

Another thing, combos. Don't spam them too much, they're to understand phrasing.

Thanks for the critique. Distance Snapping didn't cross my mind as an important aspect. Looks like I've got a lot of reworking to do.

I will explain a few general things:

--Many of the streams don't actually make much sense and are just put in there for the difficulty. e.g. 00:14:999 (5) - does not really make much sense, espeically with all claps. This is a calm and quiet part of the song, so if you REALLY want a stream there, you should at least use soft hitsounds.

I would also advise you to take a look at the other streams as well, for most of them are not actually played in the music. e.g. 00:16:166 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - This doesn't really make sense to put here because the music is not doing anything fast here. In addition, it is hard to read 00:16:833 (8,9) - , because combo 9 starts on a blue tick, and the music doesn't provoke anything like that.

--Spacing. Try to stick with distance snapping for now, and use AIMod where possible. Try to keep the all the combos spaced equally. you can change spacing for different sections tho if you'd like.
--Also, for at least now, try to stick to more simple patterns and rhythm for now (use blue ticks only for streams if you must). Patterns such as 00:17:499 (10,11,12,13) - do not follow the music and are hard to read.

00:40:999 (1,2) - spacing
00:50:624 (7) - doesn't really make sense, and the clap spam is just so overpowering
00:53:166 (5) - weird rhythm
00:53:999 (7,8) - spacing
01:17:166 (1,2,3) - ^

etc...
Most of the rest of the difficulty is largely spacing issues

Other Difficulties


--For now, the biggest issue is spacing. Use AIMod and Distance snapping and space the notes evenly. Before improving the map by any other means you should first make the map more easily readable by fixing spacing.

About that guest diff. I don't really feel like making a guest diff for this sorry D: It's a little long and the song is somewhat slow. The true BPM for this song is more like 90, not 180.

General
Since all maps are mapped by you, it's not required to have the Silver's in every diff.
So: Remove the Silver's in every diff. While we're at it already, rename Medium to Normal. It looks better in a Diffspread from Easy to Insane.

Resize the BG pics to 1024x768

Modding the diffs themselves seems to be pointless to me. Too many errors.

Let me give you some advice for the hitsounds:
First, it's recommended to use custom hitsounds. The default ones are mostly shit and rarely fit a song. That's why you should look for custom hitsounds which fit the song.
Second, don't overuse Finishes. Only add them in places where the music has a heavy beat, or a sounds which sounds similar.
Third, which is actually the most important: Only add claps in places which make sense. Listen closely to the music's beat, take notice of where the music plays a similar sound and them in those places. Mostly, claps follow a simple 2/1 pattern - in other words, every 2 white ticks there is 1 clap. Make sure to make your hitsounds fit the song - or else, I'll be a very sad Panda.

Not else left to say for me here - make sure to read what the other modders told ya and re-map the diffs according to their suggestions.

Play some more maps from good mappers (like me ahahaha~) and take notice of their mapping techniques. You may be able to copy some tricks from them and tune them up a bit to make your own style.
