alright it basicaly is a variation of the tsundere
very strong on the outside (looks, ability and charisma )yet having a soft spot inside or being mentally or emotionally weak
yet unlike the tsundere this type of character isn't a bitch (meaning not hostile) lol....

Well perhaps the name isn't the best but to me it meant a maiden protected by an iron shell. Lol never knew about the torture device stuff. Examples I can think of right now are erza from fairy tail(unless you piss her off or she's already piss of she won't threaten to eradicate you from existence like shana in the very first episode..)
