Okay, first of all, this was NOT what I expected when you told me to M4M.

general
I'd like you to ask yourself "What does the map feel like. Is the way I map it, deserved, or not?"
You probably did, but this is one of the quirks I use at the beginning of a mod to further lead into several things, e.g.
  • Open AI mod
  • Hitsounds
  • Set good timing points
I won't really go into timing, since I can't really do it, but you might as well delete the second timing point with the same bpm.

The only diff
First of all, those are a lot of streams. You don't need to hit every note, you just need to convey the general feeling, or even just the main notes within a song. 03:35:244 (2) - I could imagine this here being a slider, then those gathered sliders, then a slider, then those gathered sliders, kind of like koukou no sousei https://osu.ppy.sh/b/96763 , just a little bit different. Besides, they all are 1/3, and not 1/4 or 1/8

01:26:312 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - To me it sounds like they are on the red ticks only, not on the blue ticks
01:34:402 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4) - Here too. They are distinct from each other. maybe you should map it that way.
To be honest, I don't really know what to do with this map. I'm not saying it's shitty or anything similar, but I find it hard to recognize the music within. Try mapping without hitsounds and at a slower speed. The speed really is insanely high, and you are bound to miss a lot.

Just my own opinion. Pls don't give kudosu. (Because if you gave me, I'd feel guilt at not modding every single piece of your map, totaling to a stupefying amount of HL, when it all could resolve itself)

GL for the future, and maybe watch pishifats videos if you haven't already.

  1. Alright, firstly, the song came from the Touhou music, Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke. With that, be sure to add "東方 Project" in the source. Also, add "smoke" in the tags for the title of the original music, no need to repeat words already used in both titles.
  2. Make sure to also add "fujiwara no mokou" and "touhou" in the tags.



Most of my points here are just minor stuff, don't worry xd

  1. 00:07:861 (1,1) - Flow between these two isn't really bad, but it provides an awkward play of objects, imo.
  2. 00:07:861 (1,1) - NCs on these two sliders isn't really needed. 00:08:635 (1) - This is reasonable for me since imo it can create a countermeasure for confusion.
  3. 00:13:281 (1) - Shouldn't its speed be like in 00:00:893 (1) - , considering the similarity in sound?
  4. 00:17:926 (2) - Try putting this on (296,240) for aesthetic purposes. The way it is right now is a bit jarring for me.
  5. 00:22:092 (4,1) - Basing from what you did in 00:20:543 (4,1) - , those four should have identical spacings visually.

Intro has string sounds which are weird with timing since their sound starts a bit before the beat but objects should start on the white ticks where the sound has the most impact. At 00:31:704(1,2,3,4) you can see this clearly.
  2. 00:07:087 (1,2,1,2) SV seems a little too fast for the intensity of these notes
  3. 00:19:382 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) Use curve slider shape similar to the rest since there is no change in the song
  4. 00:52:590 - 01:02:018 The timing here is off. Use a beast snap divisor of 1/4 instead. There are groups of 6 objects when there are only 5 sounds so try using a playback rate of 25% and count the sounds instead of looking at the timeline and fitting objects into it
  5. 01:04:402 (3,4) Join these into a slider
  6. 01:26:312 (1,2,3,4) there seems to be some circles missing on the blue ticks
  7. 01:57:997 (9) Sounds are only on the white and red ticks so maybe make the slider longer 02:00:694 (9) also here, same thing

  1. Hitsounds needs fixing. Sadly, I'm not good at it, so try asking a for a hitsounding mod in the modding queue sub forum.
  2. The timing in the first part may sound correct. But I suggest you ask a timing expert to check it.

  1. 00:20:930 (1) - Why is the slider velocity here unchanged where the one around it changes? Perhaps you can make the sv slower since it's an NC and that the next part the sv is gradually decreasing.

  6. 01:04:065 - after this part, the soft-hitnormal sound is kinda inaudible compared to the loud drum sound you used to accent the strong drums you're following. not really fun to play bcs everytime i hit the notes with soft-hitnormal sound, i cant hear it really clearly so it kinda makes it a bit hard to figure out what rhythm youre actually following so yeah. just giving a thought. and it gets even worse when these soft-hitnormal sound hits important part like 02:14:851 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - . so yeah idk its probably just me. if you see nothing's wrong then no need to change. i'd personally recommend to louder the volume for soft-hitsounds around 60-70%
