Yow! Offset is 135 so the downbeats are at the right place, might make some stuff in the higher diffs a bit weird atm like 00:55:774 (6) - 00:57:169 (6) - etc on the top diffthis powerful tail with the cymbals should definitly be clickable since its the main feedback while playing, control+g the rythms of 00:56:995 (5,6) - etc is an option for isntance so I'd prob recheck the top diffs a bit for rhythm stuff after changing the offset since it might need a few tweeks now
if you guys use the downbeat method for NCing too make sure to tweek it aswell

gd is coming! I'll mod the entire set prob after the set is finished if thats alright :d

Its slighly higher then 2.00 tho so the difficulty spread between normal-hard is more even

ok, i'll try my best since this is my first mod:)

Whiskey's Normal:

- 01:14:088 (4,5,6,7,8) - might be a little too hard to read fore newer players. you might want to try something else
- 01:36:414 (5,6,7,8,1) - maybe not overlap these?

other than those i can't really find anything to point out in this diff.

Botan's Hard:

ok. the editor space usage is very limited. If i ctrl+a your map i can move the whole map around the editor and that's generally not good (https://puu.sh/x1OWm/e7e637df73.mp4 here's a video of it if you don't understand what i mean). Maybe look at Whiskey's normal. it has really good space usage.

- 00:15:135 (6,1) - you can really get something between these, it doesn't make sense to leave this space empty.
- 00:18:972 - maybe a circle here? there's a strong drum beat there.
- 00:24:553 - ^
- 00:25:774 (4,5,6) - these sliders start on a red tick for no reason. 00:25:774 - put a circle here and move the sliders to white ticks.
- 00:44:786 (1) - something else here than a spinner. feels really undermapped to me.
- 00:48:623 - circle here
- 01:11:472 (1) - again, something else than a spinner.
- 01:16:181 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,1,2,3,1,2,3,1) - it's not a good idea to map to vocals here. Try to cover more sounds, because there is a lot of unnecessary empty space.
- 01:31:530 (4,1,2,3,1,2,3,4) - ^

To address the space usage, I realized that a full remap had to be done to achieve a much better use of the playing field. The majority of the main hit objects remained, there were just some changes to patterns or just re-edit/remap of sections. In short, the entire map looks completely different but the hit objects for the most part remain the same.

- 00:48:623 - circle here Entire empty section here has been remapped, there are now hit objects here.
- 01:11:472 (1) - again, something else than a spinner. Removed spinner and mapped section.
- 01:16:181 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,1,2,3,1,2,3,1) - it's not a good idea to map to vocals here. Try to cover more sounds, because there is a lot of unnecessary empty space. Remapped section to cover all the sounds. There are no pauses anymore. Patterns closely resemble those of the Normal difficulty, just slightly harder.
- 01:31:530 (4,1,2,3,1,2,3,4) - ^ Same as above.

To address the space usage, I realized that a full remap had to be done to achieve a much better use of the playing field. The majority of the main hit objects remained, there were just some changes to patterns or just re-edit/remap of sections. - 00:15:135 (6,1) - you can really get something between these, it doesn't make sense to leave this space empty. Added two sliders.
- 00:18:972 - maybe a circle here? there's a strong drum beat there. Mapped the snare drum.
- 00:24:553 - ^ Mapped the snare drum.
- 00:25:774 (4,5,6) - these sliders start on a red tick for no reason. 00:25:774 - put a circle here and move the sliders to white ticks. Done.
- 00:44:786 (1) - something else here than a spinner. feels really undermapped to me. I want to have a spinner before the chorus as a way to split the map in half. Will continue to consider this.
- 00:48:623 - circle here Entire empty section here has been remapped, there are now hit objects here.
- 01:11:472 (1) - again, something else than a spinner. Removed spinner and mapped section.
- 01:16:181 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,1,2,3,1,2,3,1) - it's not a good idea to map to vocals here. Try to cover more sounds, because there is a lot of unnecessary empty space. Remapped section to cover all the sounds. There are no pauses anymore. Patterns closely resemble those of the Normal difficulty, just slightly harder.
- 01:31:530 (4,1,2,3,1,2,3,4) - ^ Same as above.

  1. Well yeah first of all the whole difficulty is distance snapped. That's not how you're supposed to use distance snap. Because of that the map has a serious lack of contrast.
  2. The rhythm here is better than in the last diff but still suffers from the same problems. There's less overmapping but still to some extent. but still has a huge lack of contrast due to the use of distance snap.
  3. The lack of visual structure is kinda still here like in the top diff although there's some decent uses of symmetry. You really should try looking at some maps and try to copy some simple visual patterns. Some easy ways to make your visuals look cleaner are blankets, geometric patterns (Monstrata triangles) and the use of symmetry

Hmm well to be honest there's quite a lot of issues in the diff and here's the major ones imo:




  • The rhythm doesn't represent the music too well in a lot of places
  1. 00:21:414 (1,2,3,4,5) - for example here, you have a slider here when there's a drumroll in a music which would work for a stream but instead you place the stream after it where there's nothing like that in the music (More overmapped streams 00:48:972 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14) - 00:52:809 (1,2,3,4,5) - 01:03:449 (4,5,6,7,8,9,10) -
    You've managed to manage this well with triples tho so I don't know why you decided to place a lot of unnecessary streams there
  2. 01:16:356 (1) - 01:35:019 - This whole part is literally just all circles with 1/2 gaps which is extremely poor way to resemble music, There's clearly a lot more going on in the music than just steady 1/2 rhythm

There's little to no contrast in the map and the visuals feel really unorganized imo.

Yow! sorry bit late, adjusted the stuff from tohooz and nerfed similar stuff eslewhere too so its now a 2 stars normal and you don't need an easy diff to make the spread rankable
