Try scrolling the mouse wheel up/pressing the up arrow key while in-game to make sure the sound isn't muted.
Also go to your volume mixer in the bottom right corner and make sure everything is enabled there correctly as well.
If none of that works you could try restarting your computer or making sure your sound drivers are up to date.
