- Modding for Insane

General
  • - I would change the AR to 9, because most of the insane maps have a ar between 8 and 9, which i think fits in insane difficulties.
    - Circle size on 4 (i like it that way more, but its not a big problem)

00:00:816 (1) - The first slider should we reversed, because it does fit the rythm better.
00:10:028 (7) - Instead of putting a circle there, you should put a longer slider at this position, because it fits the voice of the singer.
00:10:737 (2) - Here you put a circle, to keep the player to the rythm.
00:14:516 (2) - At this time you should also put a long slider, because of the singers voice instead of the circles.

01:23:965 (1,2,3,4,1,1) - 其实最后这一段我觉得可以放开一些,滑条加速还不够劲爆,起伏再激列一些(我也不知道我在说啥,可以做的更爽一些的意思吧...)

这个难度感觉是for dt?其实ar设成8也是没问题的..感觉ar是有点低了

  2. 00:04:477 (6) - I dont think its necessary to make a circle here, theres barely anything on this blue tick
  3. 00:07:193 (3,4) - I think it would be nice to space those out (something like this maybe) so this prominent guitar on 00:07:430 - emphasized a bit better
  4. 00:23:020 (6) - Also I'd sugeest to change this one to a 1/2 slider, those 00:23:020 (6,1,2) - 2 1/1 gaps i a row in this somewhat intense section feesls really out of place
  5. 00:24:438 (3,4,5) - I dont think its quite good idea to stack those 1/4s, it looks way to similar to stuff like 00:36:721 (1,2) - with 1/2 gaps and may cause reading problems for this difficulty level of players. Perhaps you can try to do something like this so 1/2 and 1/4 gaps is somewhat different visually. Same thing applies to 00:26:327 (2,3,4) - 00:27:272 (1,5,6,7) - etc
  6. 00:33:886 (1) - 01:00:815 (1) - Unnecessary NCs

00:17:587 - 00:23:256 - 00:27:036 - 这几个音,空着我觉得不是很好。如果你就是觉得这几个音适合空的话,那么00:21:367 - 00:28:926 (8) - 这几个为什么不空着呢0 0?再其次如果说是想强调鼓声的话,但我看到你这段节奏处理很多地方人声也是没有省略掉的,最明显的几处00:29:162 (1) - 00:25:146 (1) -
所以综上所述。。。我觉得这几个音空着效果并不是那么好
01:07:902 (3,4,5) - 可能这两组ctrl+g一下FLOW更好点?

00:57:863 (2,1,2,1) - 这块地方可以直接走人声忽略鼓点,我以前遇到过这种情况0 0很多BN都是这样跟我建议的

  1. normal-sliderslide seems unused, check and remove if it is.
[Hard :]
  1. OD 5 thx (to have 3 -> 5 -> 7 on the diffspread).
  2. 00:04:477 (6) - / 00:12:036 (5) - should be removed, there's no sound on them to map, you don't even mapped 00:12:036 (5) - on last diff so yeah.
  3. 00:24:438 (4,5,6) - / 00:26:327 (2,3,4) - / 00:28:217 (5,6,7) - / etc...Stacking triplet under a slider end is super hard to read, and should be avoided on Hard and lower diffs.
  4. 01:00:815 (4,1) - Since the 2nd reverse is shorter, spacing should be a bit bigger to make it clear than the player have a 1/2 delay before playing next object.
  5. 01:03:886 (2,3,4,5) - Why this kind of pattern is totally different from what you did on 1st kiai with 00:48:768 (2,3,4,5) - ? That super inconsistent and have no purpose to be done differently. If you keep 1st kiai pattern for all, reduce a bit spacing you used between 00:49:241 (4,5) - and other, if you keep 2nd kiai pattern just do it with consistency.
  6. 01:12:627 (1,2,3) - This pattern is not really readable for a Hard diff, the 2nd slider hide too much the circle.
  7. 01:24:910 (5,6,1) - This spacing is a bit too much and create a bad diffspike at the end, nerf it a bit.
  8. Imo that diff have a bit too much of triplet, and seems a bit overmapped imo, check that pls.

就很符合你現在風格

個人覺得應該就只能多多修正了 看要怎麼取得一個平衡

Hi, we discussed this thing a bit within my subdivision and since everyone else was either kind-of offended or busy with other things here goes:

[general]
  1. this anime doesnt even feature girls, any reason for the unrelated background choice?

Generally some rhythms could make more sense, here's mostly all of those that don't make much sense whatsoever
  1. 00:03:178 (2,3,4) - you have been following vocals for the most part in this section, so a much more reasonable rhythm would be http://i.imgur.com/KJmrpQr.png
  2. 00:20:658 (4,5,6,7) - starting in this section you were mostly following the background instrumentals, and with how you mapped that part previously, there doesnt seem to be anything special going on for these to be 4 circles, in fact, 2 sliders would be sufficient for what the song is at this poitn
  3. 00:25:146 (1,2,3,4) - we do understand that your intent is to follow vocals here because they are doing something special but the whole verse seems to be oddly captured, a rhythm such as http://i.imgur.com/0SDY6cw.png or in less dense: http://i.imgur.com/l9USOJJ.png would do a much better job at highlighting that the vocal line here is different
  4. 00:36:721 (1,2) - 00:38:611 (1,2) - because it isnt done systematically the stacking underneath a sliderend seems off in this part, i'd advise unstacking, also would make the kiai concept clearly different
  5. 01:00:343 (3,4) - combining different length repeat sliders isnt exactly recommended because there is no way to read that the second one is horter, would recommend taking off a reverse from 3
  6. 01:10:737 (1,2,3,4) - as the climax to end the kiai this seems like an odd choice of rhythm. something more dense that is rhythmically climaxing like http://i.imgur.com/MowG6MV.png may fit your intentions better? (compare to rhythm in 01:10:737 - in ALL OUT!! diff)

We discussed this map in our subdivision and I discovered a timing problem and some hitsound issues which seemed really obvious to me.

Red = Not allowed/potentionaly causing DQ
Regular = Mostly important, partially subjective, address this properly

[ALL OUT!!]
  1. 00:15:934 - The finish is apparently missing.
  2. 00:30:579 (5,1) - The finish should be swapped. This completely reverses the emphasis.
  3. 00:41:918 (6) - Missing finish.
  4. 00:44:280 (1,1) - Should probably not have a finish, again, the emphasis on 00:45:225 (1) - gets totally ruined.
  5. 01:01:288 - The drum additions sound really bassy here. I'd go at least with the regular finish. Would make a lot more sense, you haven't used this in your map much, this sounds to come out of nowhere here, and this part repeated many times in the song.
  6. 01:04:595 (6) - Missing finish.
  7. 01:08:847 (1) - Missing finish.
  8. 01:09:556 - Missing finish.
  9. 01:14:044 - Missing finish.
  10. 01:16:406 - Missing finish.
  11. 01:17:587 (4) - This is literally the same thing as 01:17:823 (5) - . It should also have Normal sampleset.
  12. 01:25:146 (4) - Same as above, this is exactly same as 01:25:382 - .
  13. 01:10:264 (4) - This slider seems to be completely off. If you listen to it for example at 25%, you can notice it is very early. I suppose it is 1/8 and should be at 01:10:323 - .

  1. 00:23:020 - The normal sampleset is missing, you have it even in other difficulties.
  2. 00:57:981 - Same as above.
  3. 01:10:501 - Shouldn't have a finish. This position sounds really random.
  4. 01:11:445 - Same as above.
  5. 01:14:044 - Here, a finish is missing.
Also, a general issue—the kiai sounds really empty. There should be much more finishes that actually appear in the song. I would probably recommend a little bit more complicated hitsounding, but fixing the finishes should make this pretty good too.

@Okorin As the lowest diff in this set, I don't want to use some too hard parttern, for example, 3 continuously clickable objects, so I want to keep xD

@Wafu all fixed except 01:10:501 - 01:11:445 - : I follow vocal here but the heavy sound of drum is in the middle of the sliders (01:10:737 -01:11:682 - ), so I add some finish to emphasis what I followed, I believe it would make player more comfortable

  4. 00:36:721 (1,2) - 00:38:611 (1,2) - because it isnt done systematically the stacking underneath a sliderend seems off in this part, i'd advise unstacking, also would make the kiai concept clearly different
  5. 01:00:343 (3,4) - combining different length repeat sliders isnt exactly recommended because there is no way to read that the second one is horter, would recommend taking off a reverse from 3

Also, a general issue—the kiai sounds really empty. There should be much more finishes that actually appear in the song. I would probably recommend a little bit more complicated hitsounding, but fixing the finishes should make this pretty good too.
