humm , your map is good ! Hope this ranked , loved the song ~

Thank you for your kind words, I hope so too.

@ambrew good luck getting this ranked with your current attitude
Ambrew
@Mordred.
I'm sorry? Where in my response am I displaying a bad attitude? I appreciated your feedback (said thanks), made adjustments where I felt necessary and justified ones where I believed they weren't. I don't perceive any of my response as having a connotation of a bad attitude, but I apologise if I made you feel like my comments were standoffish.

No drama here, please. Again, thanks!! :)

  1. 00:02:486 (4) - This blanket looks a little off to me. Idk
  2. 00:03:038 (6) - this blanket is also a little off. If you adjust the shape, also consider moving 00:03:774 (1,2) - a bit farther to even up the spacing
  3. 00:06:995 (6) - Don't think this is an issue (I think it's fine personally) but this note isn't mapped to anything: there's a break in the piano run
  4. 00:26:228 (3,4) - Nitpicky but these aren't really mapped to any major parts, maybe try incorporating the guitar part?
  5. 00:29:541 (6) - Might have missed others before, but I'll mark em now, I think NC should be here instead because it falls on a vocal hit rather than nothing
  6. 00:30:646 (5) - If you do the NC like I suggested above the next one could go here
  7. 00:30:646 (5,6,1) - Since tthese play like a string might be a good idea to make the spacing consistent between them
  8. 00:32:486 (6) - NC like above pattern
  9. 00:33:406 (5) - Then another NC here if you want
  10. 01:03:590 (1) - Maybe blanket this a bit better with 01:03:038 (8) -
  11. 01:22:179 (2) - Consider changing this slider to this to make the curve smoother
  12. 01:25:860 (1,2) - Same as above for these two sliders, putting the anchor in the middle might make it smoother
  13. 01:40:768 (2,3,4) - The spacing of these three is a bit misleading, not a huge issue though
  14. 01:41:136 (5) - The curvature of this slider in this pattern is sort of ugly, maybe just make it straight because the curve goes against the direction of the following stream
  15. 01:52:179 (1) - Minor aesthetic thing but angle this slightly to match the direction of flow when you're coming in from the previous note. Basically line them up
  16. 02:08:376 (1) - Maybe flip this horizontally so that you have it flow into the next note and kinda blanket
  17. 02:18:498 (5) - Move the anchor to the middle; just in general I think it's better to have the anchor in the middle so you get the smoothest possible curve
  18. 02:31:382 (4) - Maybe make this match a bit more with the slider before it so it looks a bit better. Sorta ugly as is imo
  19. 02:35:063 (1) - This blanket feels a bit off, consider changing
  20. 02:51:259 (1) - This blanket is a tiny bit off, the bottom should curve up a little more
  21. 03:01:198 (7) - Missed opportunity to blanket or line up for better flow, not necessary tho
  22. 03:10:400 (1) - Maybe change to this so it looks a little cleaner at the top
  23. 03:16:106 (1) - Blanket this
  24. 03:30:646 (6,1) - Maybe blanket these two a bit more
  25. 03:43:897 (1,1) - These can blanket a bit better
  26. 03:48:314 (6) - I sort of feel like this should be a slider because it matches the instrumental note better than a drum hit
  27. 03:51:259 (6) - Same as above, I suggest doing it like 03:50:707 (4) - where the slider matches the instrumental perfectly
Pretty good map, good flow and good patterns on the jumps. Just watch out for the missed blankets and small aesthetic stuff. I have high hopes for this mapset! Good luck in the future!

Distance snap is allowed to be unlocked in this difficulty, kept to a minimum of course, and so I wanted to emphasize these parts a little bit by varying the spacing a bit. I don't think it is too challenging to play given the low bpm and easy readability of the jumps.
That's it.

WHOOPS. Didn't mean to Kudosu Ambrew's post.
Electoz
hi hi from my modding queue

[Insane]

  1. 00:02:486 (4) - 1/2 slider + circle would be better cuz 00:02:854 can be clickable (not making that clickable kinda ruins intensity in gameplay) + to differentiate 00:02:486 (4) from 00:03:038 (5) . Same applies to whenever the rhythm happens, like 00:08:376 (4) - 00:14:265 (4) - etc
  2. 00:04:879 (1) - Avoid using 1/2 repeat sliders if the song doesn't really call for it, this kind of thing in general ruins the flow/momentum + wastes a number of beats which could have been clickable, could've used all circles here instead actually.
  3. 00:10:032 (3,4) - Better stick to more simplistic shapes when the sliders are visually short, cuz when you do shapes or whatever with short sliders it becomes really cramped/messy or whatever
  4. 00:14:081 (3,4,5) - Spacings supposed to be a lot bigger.
  5. 00:16:658 - so this part you need to simplify your rhythms more, obviously you can't just make everything clickable according to vocals cuz the rhythm will be too dense for a calm section otherwise, aka make the rhythm less dense than what you have currently (imo your second verse is better so you can try referencing from that)
  6. 00:39:664 (7) - Would look 999 times better if you move this and other objects after to stack under 00:38:928 (2) .
  7. 00:58:621 (3,4) - Ctrl+G rhythm would play a lot better cuz 00:58:989 is hella strong with vocal + instrument and vocal at 00:58:805 is not that strong either, same applies to whenever you do this rhythm in other choruses/places.
  8. 01:10:952 (5) - Same as what I mentioned before, not gonna mention anymore tho cuz you already got my point
  9. 01:20:523 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - When doing placements for jumps, better prioritize on visuals first. The whole jump pattern looks kinda messy cuz:
    1. 01:20:707 (2,4) - Is a random overlap where the rest of the pattern didn't have this
    2. The whole pattern doesn't have any clear intention of what it's trying to achieve, right now what I see is that you wanted to place 01:20:523 (1) next to 01:20:155 (5) and 01:20:891 (3) under 01:19:787 (4) but I don't know if you have any method to determine the placements for 01:20:707 (2,4,5,6) which would be a lot better if you can figure this out (tbh if I worded this too complicated then just poke me in game or something lol)
  10. 01:34:511 (2,4) - 01:36:167 (1,3) - etc if your overlaps is not for aesthetics or any other intentional purposes then please be careful in making them cuz otherwise they'll look untidy/unclean or whatever
  11. 01:41:136 (2,3) - why stack zzzzzzz
  12. 03:22:547 (6,1) - Swap NC? And then add another NC on 03:23:468 (4) for consistency with other choruses.
  13. 02:03:222 (4,1) - Is misleading aka can be read as 1/2 cuz your spacings on previous jumps 02:02:670 (1,2,3,4) are increasing so the beat spacing is not really differentiable, solutions here would be either change 02:03:222 (4) to a 1/2 slider/2 circles or stack 02:03:590 (1) under 02:03:222 (4) so that the beat spacing change will become noticeable.
  14. The biggest problem I have here is your spacing choices, like the map could be a lot more solid if you focused on what should be spaced big/small and do them consistently, for instance:
    1. 01:02:118 (5) - This has a small spacing from 01:01:750 (4) . And then for some reason you spaced the same sound/rhythm bigger at 01:13:897 (5) - 02:27:517 (5) which I don't know why, obviously you don't need to use the exact same DS for same sounds/rhythms (lol) but you should make those spacings bigger than the rest of things around that part so that the increased spacing will become noticeably different.
    2. 00:57:701 (7,1) - Same spacing inconsistency when compared with 01:09:480 (6,1) - 02:11:320 (6,1) - etc which you spaced them differently.
    3. And so on, actually there are number of places where I think could use a lot bigger spacings too like 01:03:590 (1) - 01:53:836 (1) - etc where the beats/sounds are strong/prominent.
Rather than fixing what I pointed out, try to get the concept of what I tried to point out in general and apply them to the rest of your map

ok I'll do a super quick look on other diffs cuz I'll be having a class lo

[Ambrew's Farewell]

  1. 00:49:050 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - This part didn't have the impact as much because you started making jumps at 00:46:106 which devalues the intensity that's supposed to happen at 00:49:050 . (aka I'm suggesting to reserve jumps only for this 00:49:050 measure so that the intensity scales up properly)
  2. 01:14:265 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Try to be more consistent with your idea, if you're going to use back-and-forth movement according to vocals, then do it all the way. Right now the thing happens with 01:14:633 (4,5,6,7) but not 01:14:265 (2,3,8) which plays really awkward cuz you're using different kinds of movement in a single pattern while the song is doing the same thing so the entire thing didn't reflect vocals from the song that well.
  3. 01:54:388 (2,3) - 02:06:903 (6,1) - Look like 1/4 zzzz should be spaced bigger considering you spaced other 1/2 stuff in that section a lot bigger. (actually there's more but I don't want to mention them anymore since you would already get what I'm trying to say)
  4. 02:02:670 - Same idea as what I mentioned on the first
  5. Same spacing thing I mentioned in Insane also applies here too so please refer to that.
[Hard]

  1. 00:42:057 (1,2,3) - Looks bad lol, you can't do this cleanly unless you break your DS so there's that lol up to you (aka either give up on the pattern or do it cleanly while breaking DS) .
  2. 00:51:443 (2,3) - Ctrl+G would play better cuz the flow will rotate the same way as the sliderpath 00:51:811 (1) .
  3. 02:17:762 (2) - aaa this skipped too many beats, just do the same thing you did in other choruses 01:04:142 (2,3,4) - 03:26:965 (2,3,4) - lol
  4. 02:26:781 (7,8) - 03:35:983 (6,7) - Are inconsistent with what you did previously because you always paired them up aesthetically/visually so better keep the idea consistent on these ones.
  5. 03:14:633 - where is the break hello
  6. 03:49:603 - Could've been mapped actually.
[Normal]

  1. 00:01:934 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - hello may I ask why DS here is not 1.2 like the rest of your map
  2. 00:46:106 (1) - Tbh this doesn't really fit with the song lol, like the intensity is increasing so it should be reflected in your mapping not the spinner zz
  3. 01:48:866 (3,4,5) - You're forcing players to click multiple objects in a row while involving cursor movement which is pretty pain to play for players in this level lol, probably need to remove 01:49:419 (4) for the sake of playability.
  4. 01:59:725 (1) - Same as mentioned
  5. 02:53:100 (1) - 02:58:989 (1) - No need to NC these I think?
aaa like I said if you have any questions or whatever just poke me in game

Insane

  • Anything that doesn't have a direct reply to it means that I've taken the feedback and applied to multiple points in the map.
  1. 00:02:486 (4) - 1/2 slider + circle would be better cuz 00:02:854 can be clickable (not making that clickable kinda ruins intensity in gameplay) + to differentiate 00:02:486 (4) from 00:03:038 (5) .
Don't know why I used a reverse slider for this part of music, it didn't fit the structure of the map at all.
  3. 00:10:032 (3,4) - Better stick to more simplistic shapes when the sliders are visually short, cuz when you do shapes or whatever with short sliders it becomes really cramped/messy or whatever
  4. 00:14:081 (3,4,5) - Spacings supposed to be a lot bigger. Fixed.
  5. 00:16:658 - so this part you need to simplify your rhythms more, obviously you can't just make everything clickable according to vocals cuz the rhythm will be too dense for a calm section otherwise, aka make the rhythm less dense than what you have currently (imo your second verse is better so you can try referencing from that)
  6. 00:39:664 (7) - Would look 999 times better if you move this and other objects after to stack under 00:38:928 (2). Redid entire pattern to make it cleaner.
  7. 00:58:621 (3,4) - Ctrl+G rhythm would play a lot better cuz 00:58:989 is hella strong with vocal + instrument and vocal at 00:58:805 is not that strong either, same applies to whenever you do this rhythm in other choruses/places. note to self to ask ingame/look at later
  8. 01:10:952 (5) - Same as what I mentioned before, not gonna mention anymore tho cuz you already got my point
  9. 01:20:523 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - When doing placements for jumps, better prioritize on visuals first.
  10. 01:34:511 (2,4) - 01:36:167 (1,3) - etc if your overlaps is not for aesthetics or any other intentional purposes then please be careful in making them cuz otherwise they'll look untidy/unclean or whatever Fixed here and elsewhere.
  11. 01:41:136 (2,3) - why stack zzzzzzz I wanted to separate the snare roll from the piano roll. :(
To do: apply rest of mods below.
  12. 03:22:547 (6,1) - Swap NC? And then add another NC on 03:23:468 (4) for consistency with other choruses. Fixed.
  13. 02:03:222 (4,1) - Is misleading aka can be read as 1/2 cuz your spacings on previous jumps 02:02:670 (1,2,3,4) are increasing so the beat spacing is not really differentiable, solutions here would be either change 02:03:222 (4) to a 1/2 slider/2 circles or stack 02:03:590 (1) under 02:03:222 (4) so that the beat spacing change will become noticeable. This is one pattern that I didn't want to stack. I wanted the player's movement to stop after the last green circle followed by a sharp motion to the next pattern after the slight pause. Instead of placing 02:03:590 (1) near the current pattern I've placed it further away and on a different axis to hopefully make it easier to read. It shouldn't be misleading if the player reads the map as the new pattern has a slight delay for it spawns.
Will be going through entire map with this feedback in mind.
Rather than fixing what I pointed out, try to get the concept of what I tried to point out in general and apply them to the rest of your map

ok I'll do a super quick look on other diffs cuz I'll be having a class lo
Hard
  1. 00:42:057 (1,2,3) - Looks bad lol, you can't do this cleanly unless you break your DS so there's that lol up to you (aka either give up on the pattern or do it cleanly while breaking DS) . Gave up on pattern, adjusted pattern.
  2. 00:51:443 (2,3) - Ctrl+G would play better cuz the flow will rotate the same way as the sliderpath 00:51:811 (1) . Agreed. Changed.
  3. 02:17:762 (2) - aaa this skipped too many beats, just do the same thing you did in other choruses 01:04:142 (2,3,4) - 03:26:965 (2,3,4) - lol
Lyrics varies in the second chorus here so I wanted to show that in the map. Whatever she's singing it's not as defined as the 1st and 3rd chorus, the lyrics feel like one blob. I'll continue to consider this.
  4. 02:26:781 (7,8) - 03:35:983 (6,7) - Are inconsistent with what you did previously because you always paired them up aesthetically/visually so better keep the idea consistent on these ones. Fixed.
  5. 03:14:633 - where is the break hello I don't know, supernatural phenomenon.
  6. 03:49:603 - Could've been mapped actually. Mapped.

  1. 00:01:934 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - hello may I ask why DS here is not 1.2 like the rest of your map I have no... idea... It was a ghost, fixed.
  2. 00:46:106 (1) - Tbh this doesn't really fit with the song lol, like the intensity is increasing so it should be reflected in your mapping not the spinner zz I like to map spinners before or after choruses in lower difficulties. Gives the player a quick break and spinning the spinner really fast represents the increase in intensity nicely. I'll consider mapping spinner sections.
  3. 01:48:866 (3,4,5) - You're forcing players to click multiple objects in a row while involving cursor movement which is pretty pain to play for players in this level lol, probably need to remove 01:49:419 (4) for the sake of playability. Removed.
  4. 01:59:725 (1) - Same as mentioned ^^
  5. 02:53:100 (1) - 02:58:989 (1) - No need to NC these I think? Un-nc'd.
aaa like I said if you have any questions or whatever just poke me in game

[Ambrew's Farewell]

  1. 00:49:050 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - This part didn't have the impact as much because you started making jumps at 00:46:106 which devalues the intensity that's supposed to happen at 00:49:050 . (aka I'm suggesting to reserve jumps only for this 00:49:050 measure so that the intensity scales up properly) tried to generally improve this and made some major changes throughout
  2. 01:14:265 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - Try to be more consistent with your idea, if you're going to use back-and-forth movement according to vocals, then do it all the way. Right now the thing happens with 01:14:633 (4,5,6,7) but not 01:14:265 (2,3,8) which plays really awkward cuz you're using different kinds of movement in a single pattern while the song is doing the same thing so the entire thing didn't reflect vocals from the song that well. I think this idea is okay, though since it carries nicely from the past two patterns and transitions into the back and forth movement. plus from all the testplays i've gathered I haven't gotten any feedback regarding any awkwardness from this construct, but I'll keep an eye out if it really needs to be revised.
  3. 01:54:388 (2,3) - 02:06:903 (6,1) - Look like 1/4 zzzz should be spaced bigger considering you spaced other 1/2 stuff in that section a lot bigger. (actually there's more but I don't want to mention them anymore since you would already get what I'm trying to say) replaced some of these with stacking on the previous slider, but I changed the others to stack a bit closer. I don't want to completely stack them since I feel like that would make it difficult to read (at least for me)
  4. 02:02:670 - Same idea as what I mentioned on the first
  5. Same spacing thing I mentioned in Insane also applies here too so please refer to that.
Tried to make some more consistent spacing where it was possible!

Oh hello

Sidenote.
Never heard anyone singing w/ this kinda voice lol.

Timing.
I got 162.83 with an BPM Analyzer (which btw doesn't work, huh.)
you probably need per section red lines.

Easy.
  1. DS wobbles between 1.17x and 1.23x which may look weird in some parts ex: 02:17:762 (1,2,3)
  2. 00:00:462 (1) I'd say a spinner from 00:00:462 to 00:01:566 is quite fitting, if 00:01:934 is mapped, that is. Since this is an Easy, I suggest spinners 00:01:934 - 00:03:406 and 00:04:879 - 00:05:983
  3. 00:25:492 (2) I don't mind a nc here.
  4. 00:26:965 maybe add something here to prevent hp drain. A suggestion idk not sure you're gonna re-arrange these tho.
  5. 00:28:437 (1,2) - 00:31:382 (1,2,3) - 00:36:535 (2,1,2) DS
  6. 00:46:106 (1) map this?
  7. 00:55:676 (4,1) DS
  8. 00:58:621 (3,4) blanket.
  9. 01:01:014 (1,2) make 2 just 180 rotated 1?
  10. 01:47:946 (1,2) blanket.
  11. 02:26:412 (1,2) make these parallel?
  12. 02:49:050 not sure w/ the combos in this section. I would nc 02:49:050 (1) - 02:49:787 (2) - 02:52:731 (1) - 02:55:676 (2) etc (the boring way).
  13. 03:10:032 (3,4) I would put circle 03:10:032 and slider 03:10:400 - 03:12:609
  14. 03:19:050 Suggestion (timeline) (cursor at 03:20:707 ).
  15. 03:23:836 (2,3) keep these the same as 02:14:633 (1,2) ?
  16. 03:44:357 - 03:45:738 spinner here and 03:46:474 start mapping here?

Normal.
  1. 00:15:922 (1,2) - 00:18:866 (5,6) both linear circles but different sounds. make one of these stacks?
  2. 00:28:437 again I'd do nc the boring way, keeping combo lengths even but it's up to u.
  3. 00:38:008 (1,2) blanket. maybe.
  4. 00:49:050 - 00:50:155 if you rly want a spinner.
  5. 01:00:646 (2,3,4) and 01:01:750 (5) wha?
  6. 01:21:811 (1) could start right after 01:21:443 (6) , like here 01:21:535
  7. 01:50:891 add 1 beat slider here? kinda empty.
  8. 01:58:621 (2) miss sound 01:58:805 and 01:59:173
  9. 02:07:639 (4) you could nc here since all nc around is on vocal sentence start. also, all stacks around here are 1/2 notes so this wouldn't be hard to read.
  10. 02:34:142 (5,6) blanket.

Hard.
Blankets!
  1. 00:32:118 (3,4) blanket body of 3 and head of 4? looks kinda half done.
  2. 00:51:259 (1,2,3) kinda weird. make these symmetrical. or you could move 3 down a bit if you want 00:51:627 (3,1) this gap to be large.
  3. 00:52:363 (2,3) blanket.
  4. 00:57:885 (1,3) blanket.
  5. 01:12:425 (1,2) the space between these is slightly different from 01:13:161 (3,4) . maybe make them the same.
  6. 01:31:382 (4,1) blanket.
  7. 01:38:192 (3,4) blanket.
  8. 01:49:419 (2,3) blanket.
  9. 02:03:222 (4,1) just saying, you could stack these.
  10. 02:05:431 (1,2) blanket. slightly off.
  11. 02:17:210 (1,2) blanket.
  12. 03:32:486 (1,3) blanket.

you probably need per section red lines. Adjusted offset +6ms.

Easy.
  1. 00:00:462 (1) I'd say a spinner from 00:00:462 to 00:01:566 is quite fitting, if 00:01:934 is mapped, that is. Since this is an Easy, I suggest spinners 00:01:934 - 00:03:406 and 00:04:879 - 00:05:983 I prefer to use long spinners with long recovery times in Easy.
  2. 00:25:492 (2) I don't mind a nc here. Could be NC'd but wouldn't fit NC structure + that's not something I do.
  3. 00:26:965 maybe add something here to prevent hp drain. A suggestion idk not sure you're gonna re-arrange these tho. Adjusted slider before it to allow for a break to be inserted. Added break in similar section later on as well. Applied to all difficulties.
  4. 00:46:106 (1) map this? I like using spinners before choruses in Easy.
  5. 01:01:014 (1,2) make 2 just 180 rotated 1? I like the current pattern better.
  6. 01:47:946 (1,2) blanket. Not full blanket but touched up to make it slightly nicer.
  7. 02:26:412 (1,2) make these parallel? Intentional.
  8. 02:49:050 not sure w/ the combos in this section. I would nc 02:49:050 (1) - 02:49:787 (2) - 02:52:731 (1) - 02:55:676 (2) Fixed NC but not exactly to your suggestion.
  9. 03:10:032 (3,4) I would put circle 03:10:032 and slider 03:10:400 - 03:12:609 Wanted to map the violin sound with 1 object.
  10. 03:19:050 Suggestion (timeline) (cursor at 03:20:707 ). I prefer current pattern with the sliderheads being on vocal hits.
  11. 03:23:836 (2,3) keep these the same as 02:14:633 (1,2) ? Will consider but I wanted to vary the patterning of the third kiai to make it stand out from the other two.
  12. 03:44:357 - 03:45:738 spinner here and 03:46:474 start mapping here? Not enough time for a spinner as per your suggestion. Removed original spinner and mapped section.

Normal.
  1. 00:15:922 (1,2) - 00:18:866 (5,6) both linear circles but different sounds. make one of these stacks? Stacked first couple.
  2. 00:28:437 again I'd do nc the boring way, keeping combo lengths even but it's up to u. Fine as is.
  3. 00:38:008 (1,2) blanket. maybe. Not full blanket but made curve nicer.
  4. 00:49:050 - 00:50:155 if you rly want a spinner. Prefer to keep long spinners + long recovery times for same reasons as Easy.
  5. 01:00:646 (2,3,4) and 01:01:750 (5) wha? Replaced with sliders.
  6. 01:50:891 add 1 beat slider here? kinda empty. Extended slider to end here like the Easy.
  7. 01:58:621 (2) miss sound 01:58:805 and 01:59:173 Wanted to simplify pattern right there as the pattern was pretty dense leading up to it.
  8. 02:07:639 (4) you could nc here since all nc around is on vocal sentence start. also, all stacks around here are 1/2 notes so this wouldn't be hard to read. Fixed and adjusted NC later on as well.
Thank you Josh! All fixed in Hard, all others fixed.
