Hello Nardo~

  1. 00:58:961 (139,140,141) - before here, all of your 1/2 patterns in the kiai can be based on vocal rhythms (00:53:863 (125,126,127) - / 00:55:432 (130,131) - / 00:57:000 (134,135,136,137) - ). This makes 00:59:157 (140) - this 1/2 rhythm feel out of place. I would rather have it mapped 00:59:941 - here, making it take advantage of a vocal 1/2 pattern. (If you agree, do the same 01:05:432 - here, 01:11:706 - here, 01:17:588 - and here.) I agree that accompanying vocal is the main concern, but not the only one. As I followed both vocal and instruments in higher difficulties, I think it is not bad to follow some non-vocal rhythms at times not only for the spread's sake but also a similar mapping strategy across the set.
[Muzukashii]
  1. 00:17:785 (60) - Switch this to d because it's a much lower pitch than the previous note (and a different singer), and it's the same as the next note. This also creates variety from the surrounding patterns where this is a k and the singer is the same. Agreed for variety, fixed.
  2. 00:33:373 (116) - Consider switching to D because the pitch is only getting lower. If not, consider making 00:33:079 (115,116,117) - this KKK and saving the D for the lowest note, 00:33:863 (118) - here. In relative sense, K K D D could match the pitch decrease across 00:33:079 (115,116,117,118) - as well.
[Oni]
  1. 00:02:294 (10,11,12) - Can this be ddk? dkk seems a little unnecessary here. Retained for the background snares.
  2. 00:17:785 (71) - same as musukashii fixed
  3. 00:27:392 (111) - Switch to d because the pitch is the same low pitch as previously same as 00:02:294 (10,11,12) -
  4. 00:33:079 - same as musukashii refer to Muzukashii
  5. 00:57:785 (248) - since you're following the vocals around here, I don't see why this is a k, it seems that it would make more sense to have 00:57:588 Again, vocal pitch is progressively decreasing across 00:57:000 (243,244,247,249) - , thus the pattern arrangement.
  6. 01:03:471 (284) - thru 01:06:412 (307) - you're getting super dense here, is this intentional? Yes, this serves to build up the overall intensity to bridge the second half of the kiai, making the subsequent note density increase at 01:14:843 - more intuitive in my opinion.
best of luck
get more SP and call me back

Difficulties are updated to this point.
Arrival
As requested

[Kantan]

00:53:471 (73) - What about a rhythm like this : (00:56:608 - timestamp)

-> Would help emphasizing the vocals while letting a 3/4 break after.

Using this kind of structure overall may help making the Kantan kiai less repetitive than it is now.

[Futsuu]

All fine

[Wmf]

00:44:255 (110) - I'd suggest removing this not to create a build up and not suddenly mapping all vocals, since 00:43:863 - isnt mapped. You can also do the same for this note 00:45:628 (116) -

00:56:216 (153,154,155,156) - Not changing colours at all makes the map uninteresting, most of all when there are actual pitch changes for exemple on this note 00:56:412 (154) -

00:58:373 (161,162) - What about ctrl+g these two notes, removing 00:58:961 (164) - and putting this as kat 00:59:157 (164) - . Would structure better the switch between vocals and instruments.

01:04:647 (187,188,189,190,191,192,193,194,195) - Long 9 1/2 patterns bring the issue of them not emphasizing anything, try removing 01:05:628 (193) - and apply this kind of change for the other related patterns. Also at this part a 2/1 break is necessary after such a long period of continuous mapping, so basically removing these notes 01:05:432 (192,193,194) - should be considered.

My personnal dislike about this difficulty is that you dont bring emphasizes between vocals and instrumentals, you're mapping more a difficulty (aka long 1/2 patterns for muzukashii) without caring too much of the song itself.

[Muzukashii]

Looks fine

[Oni]

00:03:079 (16) - This is very personnal and nitpicky but I'd like to point it out : Putting a don before a don finisher, even though called by the instrumental behind kinda break the emphasizing of 00:03:275 (17) - since you'll use the same fingers for both note and thus not really make a big gameplay differentiation. Therefore I'd put a k triplet here.

00:57:588 (247,248) - I'd ctrl+g these two notes since you're mainly focused on following the vocals, therefore the kick should'nt be considered more than the vocal pitch there. 00:57:981 (249,250,251) - You can then put this as a kdk in order not to break the contrast you prealably made.

01:18:569 - I'd do it like this

> Would respect the instrumental better while bring further emphasis to 01:19:941 (395) - since a triplet would be ahead of it.

I guess thats pretty much everything :) Good Luck !

Therefore I'd put a k triplet here. Retained as I think the stressed sound could still be emphasized by the finish note with bilateral hand movement.

In fact they are still following the vocal. 00:57:588 (247,249) - share the same vocal pitch and are lower-pitched than 00:57:000 (243,244) - , so they are both mapped as don for the pitch decrease.

01:18:569 - I'd do it like this

> Would respect the instrumental better while bring further emphasis to 01:19:941 (395) - since a triplet would be ahead of it. I would prefer different representations of the stressed sounds (D, ddd and K) for greater variety as the top difficulty.

I guess thats pretty much everything :) Good Luck !
Thanks for your mod Arrival~ :)

Hey Nardo~ here is my mod as requested.

  • d=Don
    D=Big Don
    k=Katsu
    K=Big Katsu
[General]
  1. All looks fine
[Kantan]
  1. 00:06:804 - add k in 00:06:804 - and d or k in 00:07:196 - ? considering how it's the Futsuu wouldn't be too hard imo and maybe improves a bit the spread?
  2. 00:14:255 - change to d? you already have a d there in Futsuu and probably for a Kantan it flows better having a different note colour before the 1/1 like you did in 00:11:118 - ?
  3. 00:48:373 - add a d here? makes a good consistency with 00:51:510 - :3.
  4. 01:00:922 - it's strange because you have a 5plet 1/1 pattern out of the kiai 00:45:628 - but the kiai should be a bit more dense? i suggest a adding a note in 01:00:922 - (k maybe?) for a little more of density and more consistent with 00:54:647 - as you have a note there.
  5. 01:13:471 - if you applied ^ add a note here (k probably too).
  6. 01:25:236 - if you applied 00:06:804 -, i suggest adding a k in 01:25:236 - and 01:25:628 - .
[Futsuu]
  1. 00:36:804 - add a d here? i think a dk here wouldn't hurt the spread and sounds good.
  2. 00:42:294 - if you applied ^ same here about adding a d here.
  3. 00:42:883 - i suggest adding a d or k here and deleting 00:43:667 - as it's more consistent with 00:37:392 - .
  4. 00:44:647 - change this note to k and 00:44:843 - to d? a kkd fits good with vocals + instrumental and makes more variety with 00:46:216 - instead of being two kdk patterns.
[Wmf's Muzukashii]
  1. 00:16:412 - change to k? the vocal pitch here is higher and same goes for the piano, for that reason i think k sounds better there.
  2. 00:27:392 (58,59) - control+g these notes? (kd) dkkdkd sounds better here due to the snare sound of 00:27:392 - and the decreasing pitch in 00:27:588 - .
  3. 00:28:961 - change to k? higher pitch than 00:29:353 - and snare sound, so fits better with k imo.
  4. 00:39:549 - change to k? sounds exactly the same as 00:39:157 - and has a higher pitch than 00:39:941 - .
  5. 00:50:138 - this part is pretty inconsistent, i suggest doing this: add a k in 00:50:530 - and 00:51:118 - and move 00:51:510 - to 00:51:314 - , then remove the finisher of 00:50:334 - and 00:50:922 -. This will make a double xxx pattern as you did in 00:47:000 - and more consistent.
  6. 00:56:412 - change to k? as the pitch it's higher here.
  7. 00:58:373 - change this note to d and 00:58:569 - 00:58:765 - to k? starting the pattern with dkk follows better the vocals and the instrumental.
  8. 01:03:079 - change 01:03:079 - 01:03:471 - to k and 01:03:275 - to d? ending the pattern with kdk fits better with the vocals imo.
  9. 01:08:961 - k due to a higher pitch?
  10. 01:21:706 - you should make this part more or less like 00:03:275 - , as it's inconsistent.
[Muzukashii]
  1. 00:05:039 - add a d here? fits good and isn't harder than Oni.
  2. 00:18:765 - delete this note so it looks a bit different from Oni? as it's the same.
  3. 00:40:138 - same as ^, delete this note for variety with Oni like you did in 00:46:804 -?
  4. 01:01:902 - change to d as the pitch is lower in vocals and instrumental?
  5. 01:08:177 - same as ^.
  6. 01:23:471 - if you applied 00:05:039 - , same here about adding a note.
[Oni]

  1. 01:01:902 - same as Muzu, change to d as the pitch is lower in vocals and instrumental?
  2. 01:08:177 - same as ^.
  3. 01:27:687 - add a k here? i think ddk d kkd fits pretty good there and in the similar section of the start of the song you already have 2 triplets, so having two triplets here too it wouldn't hurt i think.
Nice mapset, good luck~

  2. 00:14:255 - change to d? you already have a d there in Futsuu and probably for a Kantan it flows better having a different note colour before the 1/1 like you did in 00:11:118 - ? Retained to cohere with 00:11:118 (16) - . Both notes are d in Futsuu as well as the extents of vocal mapping in these two difficulties are different.
  3. 00:48:373 - add a d here? makes a good consistency with 00:51:510 - :3. Added k there.
  4. 01:00:922 - it's strange because you have a 5plet 1/1 pattern out of the kiai 00:45:628 - but the kiai should be a bit more dense? i suggest a adding a note in 01:00:922 - (k maybe?) for a little more of density and more consistent with 00:54:647 - as you have a note there. Hmm, this would sound a bit unnatural and imbalanced as this chain has equivalent vocal density as 00:54:647 - this one.
  5. 01:13:471 - if you applied ^ add a note here (k probably too). fixed
  6. 01:25:236 - if you applied 00:06:804 -, i suggest adding a k in 01:25:236 - and 01:25:628 - . same as 00:06:804 -
[Futsuu]
  1. 00:36:804 - add a d here? i think a dk here wouldn't hurt the spread and sounds good. I would prefer 1/1 or longer snaps in this calm session.
  2. 00:42:294 - if you applied ^ same here about adding a d here. same as ^
  3. 00:42:883 - i suggest adding a d or k here and deleting 00:43:667 - as it's more consistent with 00:37:392 - . Remain unchanged for constellation consistency from 00:34:647 to 00:37:785 -
  4. 00:44:647 - change this note to k and 00:44:843 - to d? a kkd fits good with vocals + instrumental and makes more variety with 00:46:216 - instead of being two kdk patterns. I think keeping it the same is also fine as both vocal patterns are similar with identical pitch.
[Muzukashii]
  1. 00:05:039 - add a d here? fits good and isn't harder than Oni. I would like to maintain a more linear spread by keeping a distance from Oni's density.
  2. 00:18:765 - delete this note so it looks a bit different from Oni? as it's the same. Deleted 00:16:216 (55,60,65) -
  3. 00:40:138 - same as ^, delete this note for variety with Oni like you did in 00:46:804 -? fixed
  4. 01:01:902 - change to d as the pitch is lower in vocals and instrumental? Nope, the pitch in fact goes higher.
  5. 01:08:177 - same as ^. same as ^
  6. 01:23:471 - if you applied 00:05:039 - , same here about adding a note. same as 00:05:039 -
[Oni]
  1. 01:01:902 - same as Muzu, change to d as the pitch is lower in vocals and instrumental? same as Muzukashii
  2. 01:08:177 - same as ^. ^
  3. 01:27:687 - add a k here? i think ddk d kkd fits pretty good there and in the similar section of the start of the song you already have 2 triplets, so having two triplets here too it wouldn't hurt i think. fixed
Nice mapset, good luck~
Thanks for your mod Hanjamon~ :)

00:44:255 (110) - I'd suggest removing this not to create a build up and not suddenly mapping all vocals, since 00:43:863 - isnt mapped. You can also do the same for this note 00:45:628 (116) -
Not sure what do you mean by 'suddenly all vocals'. The vocal that dominates my mapping does not imply that I map exactly to the every vocal sound. I mapped with the vocal before, at and after this point. So back to here the vocal at 00:43:667 - actually slurved by 1/1 in contrast to 00:45:236 - that leads to the current pattern. It may be taken as a transition to a relatively more vigorous part as well.

00:56:216 (153,154,155,156) - Not changing colours at all makes the map uninteresting, most of all when there are actual pitch changes for exemple on this note 00:56:412 (154) -
The way I realized that was kdd + d + dkk so I see nothing wrong with it. I don't see why consecutive d's must be boring because there are variations throughout, not to mention that this is only 4 in a row. Anyway I changed 00:56:608 (155) - to k so that such intention is clearer.

00:58:373 (161,162) - What about ctrl+g these two notes:d, removing 00:58:961 (164) - and putting this as kat 00:59:157 (164) - . Would structure better the switch between vocals and instruments.
I know there is a instrumental break at 00:58:961 - but it's awkward to break there because (1) the vocal did not end there (2) as I mentioned I want to create the sentences after sentences in the kiai time aka fluidity just as what the performer did. Then the dk config at 00:59:157 (165,166) - comes naturally from the drums and is consistent to the k at 00:56:608 (155) - that I decided to alter after the above suggestion.

The intention for these bridging 1/2 streams were state clear as above. As for the break you have one after the last spinner and one at 00:40:922 - so that has been cleared.

My personnal dislike about this difficulty is that you dont bring emphasizes between vocals and instrumentals, you're mapping more a difficulty (aka long 1/2 patterns for muzukashii) without caring too much of the song itself.
Really? There are many references to the instruments, both percussion and non-percussion. The beginning, of course; the background melody had been supporting those variations throughout, examples include 00:26:608 - and more obviously 00:33:079 - . And for the percussion part it's even more apparent as one may observe from my explanation on all those mods.

  1. 00:16:412 - change to k? the vocal pitch here is higher and same goes for the piano, for that reason i think k sounds better there.
You are right, but my intention is to emphasize the drop from the previous note, where the pitch stay low until echoing again. I want to be consistent with the later echoes and that high piano sound does not create disharmony against the d.
  2. 00:27:392 (58,59) - control+g these notes? (kd) dkkdkd sounds better here due to the snare sound of 00:27:392 - and the decreasing pitch in 00:27:588 - .Are you sure? The pitch is decreasing there. Not closely following the snares as you might have noticed, and ending with k works well with both the vocal and the piano.
  3. 00:28:961 - change to k? higher pitch than 00:29:353 - and snare sound, so fits better with k imo.
Stay consistent with 00:28:961 (62) - . Just as before it's more natural to compare with the previous note.
  4. 00:39:549 - change to k? sounds exactly the same as 00:39:157 - and has a higher pitch than 00:39:941 - .
yeah and consistent with 00:37:981 -
  5. 00:50:138 - this part is pretty inconsistent, i suggest doing this: add a k in 00:50:530 - and 00:51:118 - and move 00:51:510 - to 00:51:314 - , then remove the finisher of 00:50:334 - and 00:50:922 -. This will make a double xxx pattern as you did in 00:47:000 - and more consistent.
Not sure what do you mean by inconsistent. The first replicate 00:47:000 - shared the same second half as 00:50:138 - , and the first half changed because of the emphasized note 00:50:922 - which is not seen in the first time. As I explained above the intention is to isolate those finishers before bridging into the kiai section.
  6. 00:56:412 - change to k? as the pitch it's higher here.
Seems like it's not the case...
  7. 00:58:373 - change this note to d and 00:58:569 - 00:58:765 - to k? starting the pattern with dkk follows better the vocals and the instrumental.Fixed as per last modder's suggestion.
  8. 01:03:079 - change 01:03:079 - 01:03:471 - to k and 01:03:275 - to d? ending the pattern with kdk fits better with the vocals imo.
  9. 01:08:961 - k due to a higher pitch?
Seems like it's not the case...
  10. 01:21:706 - you should make this part more or less like 00:03:275 - , as it's inconsistent.
    good idea

Hey Nardo and wmfchris \o/ via Forum PM

[General]
  1. Nardo, please write which ones you applied with green and rejected with bold text.Sometimes I can't get which you applied and kept :/
  2. I have concern about hitsound volume. 00:02:294 - Since density and volume changes suddenly, move green line at 00:03:275 - to here.
[Kantan]
  1. 00:04:059 (7) - I can't hear anything except weak drum, you could move to 00:03:863 - to highlight stronger sound.I know that you want to make it simple but I think it doesn't fit at all.01:22:490 (116) - for consistency.
[Futsuu]
  1. 00:25:236 - When there's no note,it is inconsistent to 00:12:687 -
[Wmf's Muzukashii]
  1. You followed drum 'till 00:05:824 (11,12,13) - .It should be dkd according to drum.If you followed something else, you may keep it.
  2. 00:12:687 - As I explained on Nardo's diffs,why did you ignore that sound?
  3. 00:22:098 - It is more intense than others,so you should use more intense patterns.Such as 00:22:687 - you could highlight snare by using kat.Apply on other parts like that for consistency.
  4. 00:46:216 (119) - Vocal sound stops here and there is no strong drum.No need this note.
[Muzukashii]
  1. 00:12:687 - As I pointed out on Oni,why did you not represent that sound? Also there's a note on Futsuu.
  2. 01:05:628 - I heard strong drum sounds, ddd kkk will reflect the song better.
    Not much complains,looks pretty solid.
[Oni]
  1. 00:12:687 - Why did you ignored this sound?It would be inconsistent to 00:09:549 (44) - and 00:25:236 (100) - .Also when there's no note,it feels empty and there's note on Futsuu.
  2. 00:29:941 (122) - I suggest kat following these reasons:Though you followed the vocal, you should emphasize that rhythm sound which is stronger than others.I heard similar sound at 00:29:549 (119) - and you represent it with kat.It would make the flow better.
  3. 00:32:196 (134,135) - Probably Ctrl+G would be better.00:32:294 - You highlighted this drum sound with kat at 00:31:510 (130) - (Although there are snare sounds, you used ddk instead of kkd at 00:31:510 (130) - ).kdk will be various,so I suggest Ctrl+G for here.
  4. 00:38:863 - There is a sound but I can't distinguish.Probably it is drum sound,why don't you add a note?
  5. 01:04:451 (291,292,293) - This is just question, not a suggestion. Why did you use dkd?Sometimes I see dkd patterns on other maps and I make nothing of that. Please explain for me,so I learn something from you :D
  6. 01:05:236 (297,298,299) - Same above
That's all,good luck Nardo and wmfchris :3

I have been following the melody around that section, but when it isn't obvious I can always take partial reference to other elements. I think the previous dkdddkd also goes well with the melody as well. To make it clear I will see if dkdkkkd works.
  2. 00:12:687 - As I explained on Nardo's diffs,why did you ignore that sound?
I look for combinations that accompanies the song well so that's my solution. I deemed that it's the best not to put any notes there to emphasize the single instrumental note, just as what the composer did. (00:09:549 - is the beginning of a section, so you must have a note there; and the instrument was not isolated at 00:25:236 -)
  3. 00:22:098 - It is more intense than others,so you should use more intense patterns.Such as 00:22:687 - you could highlight snare by using kat.Apply on other parts like that for consistency.
Not exactly sure what do you mean. kddD works properly with the drums. For 00:23:275 - , when you start the new section I want make it slightly denser (but less denser than the kiai part) as a contrast to the replicate section 00:09:549 - . Also I am not precisely mapping to the drums there for sure.
  4. 00:46:216 (119) - Vocal sound stops here and there is no strong drum.No need this note.
Nope, it's a し sound, just being very soft.

Hey Nardo and wmfchris \o/ via Forum PM

[General]
  1. Nardo, please write which ones you applied with green and rejected with bold text.Sometimes I can't get which you applied and kept :/ I usually type "fixed" when I agree with the mod.
  2. I have concern about hitsound volume. 00:02:294 - Since density and volume changes suddenly, move green line at 00:03:275 - to here. I think it is not very necessary as 50% volume is still readily audible there.
[Kantan]
  1. 00:04:059 (7) - I can't hear anything except weak drum, you could move to 00:03:863 - to highlight stronger sound.I know that you want to make it simple but I think it doesn't fit at all.01:22:490 (116) - for consistency. Retained for simplicity. Otherwise the snapping would look complicated due to increased red line note frequency.
[Futsuu]
  1. 00:25:236 - When there's no note,it is inconsistent to 00:12:687 - The main focus of this session is vocal while the previous one is basal rhythm for simple patterning, so consistency does not matter here.
[Muzukashii]
  1. 00:12:687 - As I pointed out on Oni,why did you not represent that sound? Also there's a note on Futsuu. What wmf said. Also, leaving a 2/1 break here could help emphasize the vocal.
  2. 01:05:628 - I heard strong drum sounds, ddd kkk will reflect the song better. Doing so will result in a noticeable difficulty gap with Futsuu in my opinion.
    Not much complains,looks pretty solid.
[Oni]
  1. 00:12:687 - Why did you ignored this sound? It would be inconsistent to 00:09:549 (44) - and 00:25:236 (100) - .Also when there's no note,it feels empty and there's note on Futsuu. refer to Muzukashii
  2. 00:29:941 (122) - I suggest kat following these reasons:Though you followed the vocal, you should emphasize that rhythm sound which is stronger than others.I heard similar sound at 00:29:549 (119) - and you represent it with kat.It would make the flow better. Keeping it as d could reflect the pitch difference between 00:29:941 (122,125) - regarding the background instrument.
  3. 00:32:196 (134,135) - Probably Ctrl+G would be better.00:32:294 - You highlighted this drum sound with kat at 00:31:510 (130) - (Although there are snare sounds, you used ddk instead of kkd at 00:31:510 (130) - ).kdk will be various,so I suggest Ctrl+G for here. I think 1/4 kkd would accompany the triangle better.
  4. 00:38:863 - There is a sound but I can't distinguish.Probably it is drum sound, why don't you add a note? Nope, there is no sound.
  5. 01:04:451 (291,292,293) - This is just question, not a suggestion. Why did you use dkd?Sometimes I see dkd patterns on other maps and I make nothing of that. Please explain for me,so I learn something from you :D dkd here serves for variety as well as vocal accompaniment.
  6. 01:05:236 (297,298,299) - Same above similar to ^ but for background instrument this time.
That's all,good luck Nardo and wmfchris :3
